Very good food. Not crowded at all. Great atmosphere. Great individual waiter. Drinks a little pricey for the buffet. Dessert section not replenished.
The food was very good, we tried the patatas bravas, the fried octopus, the croquetas de bacalao, the paella, and everything was excellent, the service as well was great and the waiter a very kind guy, he even offered us a cheesecake that we ordered to celebrate my sister in law’s birthday, and it was one of the best cheesecake I have ever had.
I suggest you to make a reservation, since this place get full pretty quick.
I would definitely go back again to try more dishes 😋

I can’t say enough about this restaurant. We had wonderful dining, attention, and ambiance. My daughter spent time in Spain last year and the tapas were on point- if not better! Excellent drinks and friendly wait staff!!
Food was good but we never had our water refilled or asked if we wanted another cocktail. Went somewhere else for my second drink!
As always, Townsend Wentz totally delivers. The service was superb, each dish fabulous -I recommend all of them - and friends with us who were first timers swore they will now be regulars.

Overpriced and overrated. It was my first time at Oloroso. I picked it up after reading rating and reviews. I love Spanish Tapas, but in a city like Philadelphia with such places as Amada and unfortunately now only history like Majorka every new restaurant must offer
perfect food. Spanish restaurants also never so loud and noisy. You could say it's called
bar, but then make it just a bar. Space is not suitable for a bar and a restaurant and a kitchen in two narrow rooms. People who work there are trying to do their best, but it
seems like there only two of them. Of all dishes we tried only one was OK, all others looked and tasted like being prepared long ahead and reheated. Scallops(3 of them) been served on a bed of other seafood and potatoes(?!), dish was called scallops. And it
was practically the same as paella with potatoes substituted for rice. Charcuterie plate
for 25$ was miniscule and not very fresh. Chorizo advertised as homemade, but Wegman sells a better quality Chorizo for only 13$/lb. And it was a bad idea to put pomegranate juice into Sangria. Was it to kill a bad taste of cheap wine?
Sherry and bread been very good, but I do not think it was enough to make up for overall bad experience. After visiting I am curious - how the good reviews are done?
Or successful chefs stop caring about quality of their restaurants after achieving positive responses in the beginning.
I have always enjoyed Oloroso and found it superior to Amada but was disappointed this time around. The croquetas were always the best, as they were light and flavorful. It appears the recipe has been changed and not for the better. The rice in the paella was overcooked (and we had a native Spaniard at the table to confirm). While the food was served promptly, we were rarely checked once it was delivered and thus had a table of dirty dishes without having been asked for coffee or dessert.
I love the Sunday brunch here. The buffet is delicious, fresh, and healthy. Wait staff friendly, and chefs behind the buffet always eager to discuss their creations. Only minor disappointment is that on the last visit at 12:30 I was told that one could not order a sherry as the bar was not open (not to worry - there was plenty of Sangria available, so we didn't suffer too much). But my previous visit had concluded with a perfect little glass of sherry which was sadly not an option this time. Nonetheless, overall I will be there for Sunday brunch every time I'm in Philly!
Staff and service was exceptional. All the small plates we had were very good, if slightly overpriced. Our experience would have been 5 stars but for the very disappointing Paella Oloroso, which is their signature dish.
We looked forward to it being the delicious culmination of an enjoyable dining experience. Unfortunate, unlike everything else we had, it was dry and overcooked. Portions of the rice was brown and hard, shrimp dry and very little seafood for $44.

If you like bread, potatoes and eggs this brunch is for you. I have never seen so many dishes of potatoes, eggs and bread before. They had seafood paella which we were looking forward to taste. it was in a very small dish (smaller than a personal size pizza) of paella for whole restauran and very bland. Salmon was very dried almost like salmon chips. We had high expectations before we came but very disappointed.

Our “table” was actually a prep station at the bar in the upper dining area. Inches from the place settings were stacks of prepared deserts and other uncovered food items being used by the cooking staff. We told the hostess that we would rather eat at the main bar, if no other seating was available. The reservation was made months in advance, and identified as a “special occasion “. It was a holiday, so we understood that the restaurant was busy, and trying to accommodate as many guests as possible, but being assigned a make-shift dining area was disappointing.
Went on Valentines day. The ambiance was great and the food was great.

Consistently has great food and drinks. Waited a bit for service but once service started they were on top of everything.

The food was outstanding. This is not a low-budget restaurant, but we do not mind paying for outstanding food and excellent service. I believe that some websites classify this restaurant as Mexican, but it is definitely Spanish (as in Spain.) Brought back my experiences from many years ago when I lived there.
very nice pre dinner show. we were happy to order a range of Tapas and the food arrived in stages which was perfect. The service was good but not great. As they got busier, our waiter seemed to forget we were there.
The waitstaff was very patient with our picky eaters. The food was phenomenal!
Delicious. Great experience sharing tapas with friends...friendly, knowledgable waiter helped us select enough to make a meal. Nice wine to go with it. Close to theatres.
Unfortunately service wasn't very good during this visit to the restaurant. Our waiter was no where to be found after taking our order. We heard that they were short-staffed that evening and our waiter was also helping out at the bar. The food was still very good but service was not up to par.
Very bad experience and had to wait almost an hour after our reservation to get our table. We asked for our drinks comped and they refused. On top of that, it was a dinner for a special occasion.
Great vibe at the bar. Short wait for table during restaurant week but nothing major. All courses of food came out really fast and were great portion sizes. It gets pretty hot towards the back near the oven so try and get a seat towards the front unless you are dressed lightly.
Wonderful experience - definitely planning on coming back! The shrimp & chickpeas and the meatballs were phenomenal, and the cocktails complemented our meal nicely. Our server was able to recommend an very good sherry to complement our dessert, too!

My friend and I recently went for restaurant week so we got a great tasting of the menu. The eggplant was out of this world!!! We sat at the chefs counter and Alex kept us engaged during our whole experience. Can’t wait to go back for another meal.
