Food was great. I really liked the patatas bravas and the pulpo. Simply amazing. Servers were very friendly and knowledgeable! Would come back here.

The Philly Mag review was pretty spot on. We had a couple great bites of food but something was missing. The experience as a whole was overpriced and we found it lacking. Service was poor (our server was more of a busboy than a server), the layout is weird and through off the atmosphere, drinks were mediocre and overpriced, but the worst part was the staff seemed unhappy to be there.

With all the other great restaurants in the area we will not be coming back here.

We went to Oloroso on Valentine's Day. It had good food but it could have had more flavor. We are happy that we went but would not go back.

Always a great time here. Cool, intimate setting for couples and also a good time for somewhat larger parties. The Sherry’s are insanely great as well as the cocktails. Looking forward to going back soon

Fabulous!! High points were the Paella with rice that made you want to lick the pan clean, Crispy pork belly and a chicken kebab with a deep rich tomato sauce. Eat here. You won’t regret it.

We were a party of 4 and all had the tasting menu. Fabulous food!!! We were told to expect a lot of food with the tasting menu and we did. Mixed cheeses and meats. Gamble al ajillo, amazing anchovy dish( which believe it or not was my favorite and not fishy), grilled octopus, scallops on potato puree, NY strip with salsa verde, roasted sea scallops that was all wonderful and filling. Then to top it off with paella Olorossa!! Then an array of desserts. Wonderful wine list too. Have to go back to try the roasted half pig's head that we saw on a previous visit.

Sorry, just did not love it - maybe it is a matter of expectations. I love TOWNSEND (one of the very best in the city).
I just did not like the recipes or the way the various Tapas were prepared and the herbs and spices used in them. Strange tastes. The cauliflower was very strange, the squid ink sauce on the rice was so so heavy, the boquerones tasted more like large salty sardines rather than delicate white anchovies.
Other people really loved this place. Guess they have different taste buds than I do.
The Paella was far from authentic also - it came out 10 minutes after we ordered it - no Paella can be properly prepared that quickly - had minimal saffron and just wasn't what we expected. My first intro to Tapas was Amada many years ago and also Tinto. Those were both great. Loved every single thing that they service. The best Tapas i have ever had in the US is at a restaurant called Curate in Asheville - awesome.

Not a traditional brunch menu. One egg dish but mostly the same tapas as on the regular menu. That said, the good was delicious and so was the coffee.

Our dining experience started on a bad note. We weren’t allowed to sit because 1 of our party was not present. The restaurant was empty and we said we’d like to sit and order drinks and appetizers. Ridiculous. The 1 missing person did arrive , before our reservation time, and we were finally seated. Service was not great. Food was not brought out together. Requests were made for ice, drinks, etc and not brought to table until waiter was reminded. Food was very average. We expected so much better. One pork entree was tough, shrimp toast was chewy, churros were flavorless and the chocolate dipping sauce was also bland. Huge disappointment. Add to this that the bill was quite high given the portions.

At our table of four, I would describe the tapas dishes as variable.
A few were liked by everyone, some were not viewed favorably.
The portions were definitely generous and the $20 restaurant week meal was a good value.

Our second dinner at Oloroso and we've loved them both. A different menu from most center city restaurants (it is Spanish, after all) and we love its uniqueness. Wonderful cocktails (again, different from the usual), delicious food, and wonderful service. Also a nice atmosphere. We like tapas as one can sample a variety of dishes. Our only regret is that we were too full to have what looked like great desserts. We highly recommend Oloroso.

The food was just okay if I’m being honest. I usually shy away from chain restaurants but Barcelona has better Spanish tapas then Oloroso. There wasn’t much flavor in some dishes and in others the flavors just didn’t seem to come together. Service was definitely lacking. It took 15 minutes for the server to even acknowledge us and then he literally never came back after taking our order. Didn’t refill our water (which was our only beverage) and when I asked for change it was clear the server was mad about it. I was excited to try this place but I think there are a lot of other better options in the city.

We had a reservation for 7:15 for restaurant week and my party of 4 was a little annoyed that we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated at our table. The hostess was apologetic but it was still irritating that was had to wait that long when we had set a reservation! The food was good though and I know it was restaurant week so the portions are small but it was almost like an appetizer size.

I have loved Townsend and Amano and so was looking forward to going to Oloroso during the 2019 restaurant week. What a disappointment. Our waitress wore a constant expression that read, "I couldn't care less about you or my job." She slumped around, seemed put upon when we asked questions, and continually looked for the easiest way to serve us, e.g. "Can I choose my dessert later?" "Just order one of each. We only have two tonight."

We had checked out the menu online before going, and my husband picked out several tapas on the restaurant menu that he wanted to try. But surprise! When we got the printed menu, they were all missing. Considering that one was monkfish and one was anchovy, could a decision have been made to save money?

The food was well prepared, but so many of the ingredients were duplicative that almost everything began to taste the same. There was this hot sweetness about the chicken brochette, the brussels sprouts and eggplant that seemed to overpower everything else.

Also, the selection seemed quite limited for a tapas place, where you want variety in your small plates. All very disappointing. I don't think we'll be back.

Went during restaurant week, so 3 courses including dessert was $20. It was pretty good, but really depends on your taste palette. I ordered the brochetas de pollo and the bacalao croquetas (basically just fancy fish sticks, or fish balls in this case). They were very cute, a soft crisp outside and the inside was soft. They came with a saffron aioli but I really wish they had put more aioli because the fish itself seemed sort of bland. The chicken was wonderful, cooked well, and i loved the sauce it came with, this solely would bring me back. For the second course I got the batatas and they came in a spicy tomato sauce which was really good. Last I got some churros. If I could complain about anything it would be the churros, they were not soft at all, and barely had any brown sugar or cinnamon on them. The chocolate sauce was also very bitter, I usually like a sweetness with my churros. I tasted the other option they had for dessert which was a citrus thing, and it was not good. I also tasted a shrimp dish that my friends had ordered, gambas al ajillo, and it was not good at all. Both the shrimp and the sauce it came in were flavorless, and the chickpeas were hard. Overall it was worth the experienced and I enjoyed my lunch.

The restaurant it’s ok. Portions are small and everything I tasted was spicy, for people like me that don’t like spicy food this is not a good option. The food was good tho. The service is very slow, I guess it’s because portions are small so they need a slow service to people can be satisfied with the amount of food.
