The wagyu beef was not hot when my husband received his dinner. It was great tasting but cool. My stufged flounder was delicious.
Our waiter, Cheech, was fantastic! Made wonderful recommendations about food and wine and was fun and personable! We went for drinks the next night and Karlata was our bartender. Also great service and drinks.
Maurice greeted us, and promptly took our beverage order. He took the time to explain all of the items on the menu. He told us about the tasting menu & we decided to go that route to truly get a variety of food & see what we liked. It was the best decision because every course looked amazing and tasted delicious. There was nothing that we didn't thoroughly enjoy. (However I was so stuffed!) Maurice got me an extra special dessert for my 40th birthday. He sings the Happy Birthday song beautifully. Thank you all for a wonderful experience- especially Maurice & of course our compliments to the chef!!
irst off Cheech is an amazing server. We had dinner here today started with the guacamole which was delicious, shrimp ceviche, and crispy chicken. Everything was wonderful. We also had the empanadas de viento and steak and pork belly skewers with whipped potatoes and yuca fries. For dessert we decided to try the coconut parfait because of all the great reviews, it was very yummy. Overall we had a great experience and everyone there is so friendly and hospitable!
Food choices were unique and excellent. Service, spot on.
This restaurant is our "go to" when visiting Atlantic City. We truly can not say enough about this place! The service, the atmosphere and of course the food are all exceptional. Thank you to Chef Garces & his outstanding team! We will be back in June!
My only complaint (and partially my fault) was the spicy margarita was too spicy to be refreshing. It was delicious, but didn't pair well with the tasting menu food items. Had my drink been more refreshing I would certainly have ordered more than one, but throughout the meal I found that all I wanted to drink was water.
Every morsel of food was delicious. Our waiter, Maurice, was excellent. We will be back.

My friend and I happened to be at the Tropicana at the beginning of restaurant week and decided to try a restaurant we hadn't visited before. We were very pleased with the atmosphere, pre-dinner cocktail, menu options, food and service overall. The tiny desserts which might have been special for restaurant week were perfect.
We were extremely disappointed..... we both ordered the ceasar salad....I have no idea why they called it a ceasar salad except that there was romaine lettuce. It had absolutely no resemblance to a ceasar dressing. I couldn't eat it. I also ordered the palm salad.....4 very skimpy small pieces of palm...the rest was a funky lettuce with a terrible dressing. We both had breaded shrimp....it was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. The mango dessert was the best tasting thing of the night......
We went to OLÓN during Atlantic City’s Restaurant week. It was our first visit to this restaurant and it was great. The food was exceptional, the service was outstanding and the setting was fantastic. We plan on o return again in the future.
Great brunch ! The raw bar is all you can eat seviche, shrimp, clams and oysters. Appetizer and great assortment of meals, I had crab Benedict it was delicious all this for $29 per person. They also have a great ala cart brunch menu. Decor is peaceful, welcoming and has great view of the beach and the ocean . Would go there again
Our food was very good and our server Cheech was very professional, knowledgeable and personable .
The Shrimp & Jumbo Crab Cocktails Were Flavorful With Just The Right About of Spices. One Flavor Never Over Powered Another. We Also Enjoyed The Tuna... This Was Amazing. It Had An Oddly Amazing Coffee Taste. Why I Am Unsure, Though The Flavoring Of The Coconut Scared Me. I Found That It Was Just Perfectly Paired With The Line Purée & Kecap Manis.
For Our Main Entree’s I Enjoyed The Surf & Turf😋 I Enjoy Filet Mignon, Though Tonight I Was Pleasantly Surprised By The Wood Grilled Wagyu Sirloin😛 This Cut Of Meat Eas Cooked Perfectly, Flavorful & Topped With The Maine Lobster in Red Chile Butter ... Absolutely To Die For😍
We Also Had The Prime NY Strip & The Jumbo Gulf Shrimp...
All These Meals Were Perfect Flavored & Paired Nicely With Two Sides. The Whipped Potatoes & Asparagus Are Delicious. Though If You Aren’t Fond Of Strong Tastings Cheeses, You May Want To Try A Different Vegetable.
Overall... The Establishment Gets My Time In Fulling Out The Survey, My Hard Earned Money & My Continued Attendance.
I expected more of an Iron Chef interesting and creative menu. The food and the sangria was very good, but it was all items I could get elsewhere.

The service is spectacular (Katy is a gem!) and the tasting menu is a huge value. The food is delicious, and the 4-course tasting menu gives you a tour of so much on the menu, we thought we were done after the first course. Highly recommended!
Restaurant decor nice The food was authentic and tasty but Luke warm at best. Sides came easy 5-10 minutes after main courses. Staff attentive and apologetic.
Service was a little slow. We allowed 1-3/4 hours to get to the show, also in the Trop, but only made it by reminding the waiter and had to eat our entrees in 10 minutes. Our previous visit was very good, so I imagine we'll give it one more chance later

What we didn't really like was the charge from the Tropicana parking garage. We ate dinner at one of the nicest restaurants there and went to the Comedy Club after that. The parking should have been included. This would prohibit us from returning just on principle.
This was a girl's night out and the tapas idea was new to a few of the girls in my party. We really enjoyed the small plates-style eating which allowed us to try a variety of foods on the menu. The food was literally amazing. We enjoyed a hearts of palm salad, scallops, skewers (skirt steak, pork belly, shrimp - the meat literally melted in your mouth and each seasoned to perfection), shashimi, creamed spinach and asparagus. All delicious. Our server was excellent and guided the process well. The price was very reasonable, under $60 pp including drinks. We left very full!
We made reservations at the last minute Our server Melida was exceptional explaining how the menu was set up and what the specials were It was our first time at Olón and she came back several times to check up on our meal. The service was wonderful we had a seat by the windows and we were able to watch the surf while we dined on wonderful seafood we will be back

We came here for brunch before the Jersey Shore Wine Festival for my dad's birthday. We were seated at an elevated booth with a great view of the beach/ocean. Our server was AMAZING, very attentive and nice. He explained the full menu to us, as some words were unfamiliar.
My mom and I both ordered the Olon Breakfast- two eggs scrambled, bacon, potato hash and choice of toast. The bacon was a bit soggy, but that's just my preference. My boyfriend ordered the chicken & waffles, which he said were really good, he almost ate the entire plate. My dad ordered the $29 brunch special which is an unlimited raw bar, a first course, a brunch entree and coffee/tea. He definitely ate way more than $29 worth of food just at the raw bar, so if you're into that, this is great deal.

We had the chefs tasting menu.....excellent choice of food and good portions. Our server Katy was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend Olon and Katy.

My girlfriend and I decided to eat here after looking at the amazing menu. The ambiance and decor is very warm and inviting. We ended up going with the tasting menu as recommended from our server Cheech. It was the best decision we could have made for the portions and amount of food it was great. We really got a good feel of the menu and enjoyed every plate. Cheech was a great server he took his time to explain the dishes and to have a conversation with you. You have a true gem on your hands. Steve the busser also worked the floor by himself and did a great job as well. Overall one of my best dining experiences in AC. We signed up for the loyalty card and will be returning in the near future!
Outstanding food and service. Menu items were original and the variety was perfect. There is something for everyone, with a distinctive flair that will will make you want to return again.
Loud bar contest had us worried about noise in Olon. But music in Olon allowed conversation without hearing bar. Server was friendly, professional, know- ledgeable. We love the yucca rolls & spread (but butter could be a nice addition). Caesar dressing was not the norm, plus, a small salad for the price. Whip potatoes & strip steak large portions & cooked to perfection. Coconut shrimp soup, spicy & very creamy. Hearts of palm salad had many flavors/textures making it unique. Mix fish fry lightly breaded & super crispy. We aways visit Olon when at the Trop.
