Olivia Restaurant - Circ Hotel Hollywood
Great service and great flavor. Entrees were big....
The food was very good the atmosphere feels a little bit more like the cafeteria and although the server was very nice professional the actual service was very poor
We have been to this restaurant several times. We have talked to the manager Cristian on multiple occasions. The food coupled with the exceptional service make this place a sure winner. We look forward to many more visits. It’s a must go to.
The food was very good.
The service was pathetic !
We loved the beautiful atmosphere. They had a great wine list. The hostess and waitstaff were super friendly and attentive. Must try the house mozzarella! The pasta dishes we had were also delicious! Overall an extremely wonderful experience.
A Tomahawk steak was ordered medium for 2 people to share. It came out less than medium rare and was not acceptable to one of the two diners. One diner took half the Tomahawk steak and put it on his plate, the other diner sent his back to the kitchen to make it "medium" as ordered. They brought his piece back sliced up and well done. Management comped the Tomahawk and sold him a NY sirloin replacement which he ate while the rest of us were having desert.
Their poor service is going to kill this place if they dont turn it around. They were packed and the food was very good for a very fair price.
Not the same restaurant we loved a few months ago...
After a previous fabulous experience at Olivia's, we made this our special place to celebrate our anniversary on Cinco de Mayo.
First no one came to our table as there was apparently some confusion as to who was to serve us. When the waiter finally arrived, apologizing for the confusion, he was somewhat preoccupied, not really listening when I noted my allergy to sulfites in wine until we had to repeat it several times.
When we asked him to check if there was wine in the preparation of stuffed tortellini, he returned to tell us there would be none in the cream sauce.... the only problem was that the tortellini on the menu was not in a cream sauce! Upon pointing this out to him he said he would make sure it was in a red sauce with no wine. I was not feeling secure.
We ordered two appetizers...when the beef carpaccio plate arrived, although still good, was half the size of the plate we received last time (same price).
After we finished that, we expected to get the second appetizer of a flatbread (although why weren't they brought out together?) instead the waiter arrived with our two entrees and, oops! never ordered our second appetizer!
My entree was the tortellini, "pillows of pasta stuffed with veal and beef, tossed in a delicate tomato and meat sauce"on the menu but looked more like a heavy vegetable sauce with peas and mushrooms and some unstuffed tortellini thrown in.
My husband ordered the veal saltimbocca and it arrived luke warm, with barely noticeable thin prosciutto hidden under the soggy spinach, accompanied with limp potato slices and cold unevenly cooked broccoli. When we complained to the waiter he said he would remove the dish from our check and then informed us the chef was off for the night and the sous chef was in charge!
Any good restaurant should continue the high quality even when their main chef is not in attendance. Very poor and unfortunately, now off our list.
What a great restaurant. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience there. We went there for a special occasion. Our table was ready right at the reservation time. Our server Jenny was wonderful throughout the entire experience. She paced our dishes and champagne perfectly. I would definitely request her the next time we go back. We started with a bottle of champagne, perfectly presented by Jenny, and delivered with the proper champagne bucket and wiping towel. For starters we ordered the mussels. Lots of tables were ordering them. They were perfectly prepared in the white wine sauce, hot, tasted fresh, perfect amount of spices. Next we ordered something from the mozzarella bar. Homemade mozzarella with vegetables. If you don't get something from the mozzarella bar, you are missing out. What a treat. One of the best tasting mozzarella I have ever tasted. Jenny described how they prepare it and it was an easy sell. For entrees, we ordered Veal Marsala and Veal Saltimbocca. Both dishes were hot, seasoned well, looked like a picture and were served with roasted potatoes and broccoli. Finally, for dessert we ordered the tiramisu. Again, one of the best I have ever tasted. Don't skip this. Hotel restaurants don't usually tend to be awesome, well this one is. If you are ever in Hollywood FL area, staying at the Circ Hotel, you live in the area, go to this restaurant - you won't be disappointed and you will probably write a great review like this one. Thank you Olivia Restaurant for a wonder meal and memorable experience. Cheers.
Environment is fantastic! Service needs major improvement. During placing our order another server walked by and started talking to our server. He engaged and then turned back to us and we had to repeat ourselves. The appetizers showed up before the drinks and one dinner entree showed up with the salads 15 minutes prior to the other entree showing up. The food is delicious however the service needs major polishing. I paid $175 for dinner for two and it felt like a $50 experience.
Wonderful food...excellent service....a bit noisy.
Really fabulous food and restaurant.
I expected better from this upscale restaurant. There were several food highlights but the service was lacking.
Very beautiful restaurant. Food delicious and John our server was amazing!
Dining here before returning home to NY was a must! We called 3x and couldn’t get a reservation Jan, Feb and March. On Saturday April 27th we were successful and it was worth the wait. We enjoyed our farewell dinner with friends.
Pre dinner cocktails at Muse wasn’t as good. Service slow and the chairs are so so uncomfortable; they’remade for 7 foot tall people.
Olivia is a very nice restaurant with excellent food.
Thus was our second time eating here and the food and service was excellent.
I highly recommend the shrimp with angel hair pasta.
Easter brunch was just ok. Food was average and somewhat cold. Buffet could have been placed all in the same room instead of opposite ends of the restaurant. Selection was bare bones albeit the NY strip was adequate. Price was high for this level of brunch. I’ve had dinner here before, pasta was very good, expected a lot more
There first buffet
Food selection was not very good
How can you have an Easter buffet without ham is not understandable
Price was too high for the offering
Management was not very responsive to complaints
Seriously issue with the service . Beautiful atmosphere unfortunately the compliment end there . Food isn't up to standards
