Olivia Restaurant - Circ Hotel Hollywood
The food was delicious and the service was superb. The atmosphere was very elegant too. My husband and I both had the veal parm which was so tasty. We were so pleased with the amount of food and had enough left over for another meal.
200% improvement since our last visit. Service and food was excellent.
Really disappointing experience tonight. We're locals and have wanted to stop in and check it out, so what better time than during Crave, a month of special priced menus. Saw the menu on THEIR website and it looked like a good way to try them out. Kind of confusing on how to get in to the restaurant, but eventually found the entrance through the hotel lobby. Make shift host stand was odd, but the hostess was pleasant. We were sat by a window, which is usually nice, but not so much in downtown Hollywood by the circle. Those that know, know. We were not given the Crave menu, so we asked our waiter and he said that yes he believed they were offering it. We hope so since it's on your website and the Crave website as well. He returned to tell us that no, the menu was being finalized. Finalized? More than the published one? Odd. So we ordered and ate regardless. The beef carpaccio, was meh. Bland, olive oil some arugula and shaved parmesan. Read all kinds of great things about the chicken parm ... again it was ok. Huge, yes, but just ok. The lamb chops were served in a thick gravy claiming to be a demi, along with 2 sides of vegetable medley (boring) and what looked like boiled potatoes cut up and put on the plate. Bummer!! The night took a big turn of disappointment when the table behind us was sat and the woman asked for the Crave menu..... to which they're waiter produced!! This made us feel chested, and hopefully not, lied to. No manager presence, except maybe the guy doing hourly duties restocking wine, so we paid and left. A truly disappointing and deceiving experience.
Lindo ambiente y buena atencion. La comida no descolla pero los platos son muy abundantes
Sean the waiter was amazing. Recommend me the chicken parmigiana. It was amazing. Huge and great taste Will be back.
Slow service! I ordered a wine three times, they brought it after finner and still charged it.
Absolute perfection, the staff was amazing the food was incredible and the ambience was Unbelievable. Everything we ordered was spectacular and we will be back very very soon.
Service was very sketchy. Requested a table at window & got one next to a wall.
Our wine selection was not available. Another was suggested, which we went with, but it was more expensive.
The food and drinks here are always good to excellent...and we like valet parking right outside the door.
En famille ou en amoureux, toujours un excellent choix! Service exceptionnel, ratio qualité-prix hors du commun, talent du barman pour les cocktails phénoménal!
Always good, but I think they need to switch their menu up for us locals.
They forgot to bring one of the main courses. When it finally arrived pasta was undercooked (way harder than al dente). Had to send the entree back. It was done to perfection the second time around. We had an amazing server who really made a difference.
Fish and bones and scales in it.
We won’t be going back!
Food is delicious. Never had a bad meal. Staff very friendly. Jenny our server so polite and friendly.
It seems that they have a new chef and the food went from great to bad. Not to mention valet parking went from $5 to $10. Hope the owner takes notice. Been going there since it opened. Very disappointed.
The restaurant was beautiful the food was delicious Jenny our waitress, perfect, on the other hand the manager needs to go back to management 101. The check came we gave them to credit cards and told them to split the bill 25 minutes later he was still splitting the bill one item at a time unheard of. Only in Florida.
It was our 4th or 5th time dinning at Oliva and it did not disappoint. Apparently they have a new chef and from what we tasted, he is doing it right!!! We had the special for the evening: filet of whole Branzino stuffed with thyme and rosemary, over roasted veggies with a saffron sauce. From what the staff said, his specialty is sauces and this one was excellent. We are excited to try new items in the near future from this chef.
We love this place. The food is always good and the service most of the time great. The manager should care more about the cleanliness of the tableware, plates included but honestly we keep going back. That would be the only thing I would tell them to change. Get a manager that cares about the details and it would truly be amazing.
Very nice special evening. Thank you
The waiter was excellent, ambiance beautiful, food was good, not happy we had to pay to valet at hotel since we ate at the restaurant.
We had a good time at a great location.....however, there were a few glitches.
1. Our waiter misplaced our order and had to come back to the table to ensure he got it right. He didn't. An appetiser was missing, which we caught, but my main course when delivered was incorrect. So I sat and waited for the correct order, maybe 10-15 minutes while everyone else ate.
2. One from our party was drinking iced tea which needed a refill. The waiter took the glass but never returned with it. We asked the runner delivering the food, no luck. We finally flagged down someone in a suit and he reminded the waiter to get the tea.
3. Finally when done, we went out to retrieve our car from the valet and were told there was a $10 charge for the service (there were no signs about the fee) and they only took credit cards, no cash. So, the valet took the credit card, went inside and returned the card without a receipt. When we asked for a receipt, he had a nasty remark about crying about getting a receipt. NO TIP FOR HIM! So we went back inside, got the receipt and spoke to the restaurant manager who could do nothing for us or to the valet. Hey Olivia's.... If the valet service is primarily for you, you better fix it or people will stop coming!
The worst service yet. We have been going to the restaurant since it opened. Joe and Christian do their best, but the waiter we had Friday night was horrible. The time it took for the food to arrive was unreasonable. The restaurant is going backward.
there was a lot of confusion and after waiting close to 25 minutes we went to the manager. the food was just fair. the service once they came was ok the server tried to do his best but no supervision. everything was dysfunctional. we had paper napkins instead of cloth. it was blamed on the laundry. not a happy evening.
MUCH too noisy. The acoustics are horrible. Ceiling too high. They were out of Tiramisu. Cappuccino maker broken. Bread was burnt on edges. TEN DOLLARS for valet. AND since the valet stand had a broken credit card machine, the valet then had to go inside to use the credit card machine. Took quite a while too.
We text that we were ready to leave. They never received the text. They said it went up to the 7th floor. No car for a while.
I wish the server would have been more transparent on specials, early bird and drinks.
first time there but not my last. It was excellent
we arrived for dinner at 7:30 took our drink order waited 20 minutes to take our order. Got appetizers 15 minutes later.. then sat for waited 60 minutes for a dinner that never arrived. We spoke to 2 managers and eventually got up and walked. The waiter ignored us. We do not feel they were helpful.
It was our first time visiting Olivia’s. As Hollywood residents we were happy to see such a well appointed restaurant in the neighborhood.
John was our waiter and was very informative and attentive. We split the beef carpaccio which was delicious and each had a pasta dish.
The serving size was very generous so we decided that next time we would probably split one dish. The seafood pasta and the Ravioli Olivia were both delicious.
Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, so, next time. My wife forgot to mention that the wine prices were outrageous. Specially when purchased by the glass.
I have been to this restaurant at least a dozen times. I like the ambiance, food, and the service too!
Great food, great prices, great staff. I was able to have a lengthy lunch without any interruptions, the waitress was very accommodating and respectful, great experience!
The restaurant was good, food is excellent, service was a little slow and hard to catch waiters attention at times but overall it was a great meal. the $10.00 valet parking seemed a little excessive
Service was lacking. Server didn’t listen to my requests and forgot my wine...bottle of wine. Food took too long.
It was nothing special. Wait staff not overly attentive. Pleasant though
Every thing was wonderful !
Great find! Great food and service ...excellent cheese..
I would definitely Rey this restaurant, the food was amazing, as well with their friendly staffs, and overall the restaurant it self was beautiful and fancy. Please put oliva restaurant on your bucket list, it’s definitely a must to visit.
First and Last , should fire the chef and food runners, was served spoiled muscles and the smell was horrible
Second time there and unfortunately did not get better. Service is terrible from front to back. Waited almost an hour for main to be served. Tip for kitchen : over salting does not create flavor..chicken piccata was inedible. Too bad because it is a nice space and local to us,
