Italian Buffet Fridays, Saturdays and all Casino show nights. $21.99ea with reservation, $26.99ea walk-in.
Fantastic Value, very attentive service, and the buffet is constantly being refreshed!
Food is very good
Hello my name is Giovanni. I ate with Natalie Patty Jay and Steve. Just wanted to thank you for adding my friend Steve to our table. You girls went out of your way to make everyone happy for Natalie's birthday my fiance Natalie had a great time at your restaurant thanks again for all your help and support. Giovanni from Philly 😎
Wow this a place is awful. Food was old and cold, except the deserts which were all completely frozen. Service was slow and unfriendly. No refills on water or soda. They even ran out of plates at one point and no one could eat until they found more. Super awful.
The service was horrible! I made a reservation and still had to wait 15-20 min when I was looking at empty tables. The waitress did not come over to ask us if we wanted a drink until we were done eating our dinner and starting our desert. Then to get the check was another long process. Would I eat there again probably not due to lack of service. Food was on the cold side but tasted good.
Good variety of food choices. Everything prepared well and staff kept buffet well refilled. Wait staff very attentive. Very good dinner for the price.
There was a great assortment of dishes at the buffet. Everything I tried was delicious. Great value too
Between the seating, which they forced four of us into a very small table, to the drink menu having only 4 mixed drinks despite having a bar with 30 bottles or so, no soft drink refills till we waived them down, 25 minutes between asking for a check and getting it, the entire experience was well below par.
The buffet was excellent but the food could have been a bit warmer.
Food was excellent although I was surprised at the soup selection of “lobster bisque”. I was expecting an Italian one like pasta fagoli or chicken pastina.
Also Caesar salad?
The entree selections were not all Italian.
Fish was tilapia! No sausage and peppers? No spaghetti!
No cannoli etc. and no extra red sauce or even parm cheese or crushed pepper flakes?
Don’t get me wrong ,
The food was excellent for the most part .
I would go again. It just seems strange that in a restaurant that only serves Italian wines the buffet lacked some classic choices!
One of the best buffets I've ever been to. Even though it is limited to Italian food, the quality and freshness are second to none. Highly recommended!
Good value for the money. Quality of food good. It was a buffet.
This is for the buffet.
Nothing is HOT. Most items are barely warm. Service is very slow yet friendly. Meatballs are average, Veal Parmesan has an over used oil taste. The mssles were the highlight and I'm not a big fan of them but since everything else I sampled was blah, I filled up on them. The breadsticks were stale and hard.
The so called best pizza in pa, sits under a heat lamp so it's dried out and doughy. Flavor is OK.
They charge more for walk-in vs reservations which after 8PM you'd think they'd be more inclined to lure people in since the place was virtually empty at that hour.
Nothing about this place is special and being and accomplished cook and nationwide traveler I know good food and you won't find any of it here.
It was a buffet night and a waitress never came to our table. Finally the manager we think waited on us. Then took 15 minutes to get our check. The buffet food was cold but did tasted good for cold food. People lift the lids and no one cleaning up as people drop things or leave dishes open. They should have more help because they had to clean, set and bus all the tables. But only had to clear plates and get drinks because it was a buffet. The manager did comp our drinks because it took 15 minutes for her even to come over and get our drinks. We thought we were going to miss the show. I have been there before and the service was extremely slow we thought it would be faster with the buffet but only difference was cold food. Still both where very slow. I will not go back unless I get free comps with my player card would not pay for a meal there.
Apparently Friday and Saturday nights are all buffet, all of the time without any notice on opentable. The food was gross and the service even worse than usual. Out of half of the wine’s on the menu and a staff that is under trained. We had not other options to stay because the other restaurants were full due to a concert tonight. The dining experiences here at parx, other than chickie and Pete’s and the steakhouse keep getting worse! Get a real manager in the other restaurants please!
We went to Oliveto for the Italian buffet. It was delicious. There were so many choices that I couldn’t try everything. Everything was good.
Everything was delicious except the veal the meatballs were the best loved the rice balls salad was a little soggy. Desserts were fantastic
We had the buffet. The food was delicious but not hot. The soup was lukewarm at best and the entrees were just warm.
A hard to have a conversation because of noise level, but food was very good
Not enough waters/waitresses. They were working hard but couldn’t keep up with volume.
They should close on the weekends. The food worst I ever had. Everything on the buffet was barely warm. What they bought out for pizza is indescribable! They should pay people $21.99 to eat the food.
The glass of Italian Cabernet I had was very good. Also, the waitress was very nice but she could do nothing about the food. I suggest you get Dominos or Pizza Hut to take over the restaurant. The food would then be edible.
The people who work there are great. We love going there.
Loved the buffet. Selection of food was amazing. Everything was delicious. Would highly recommend.
The Buffet Dinner(available Friday, Saturday and show nights was very good. There was a great selection of appetizers, entrees and included soup and as well.as several desserts. The service was excellent and the steam tables were refreshed frequently. Our only complaint was the usual one we have at Oliveto. The music is just too loud. The cost is $21.99 pp with reservations and $5.00 for walk ins. Word to the wise..if there is a show you will need to make a reservation for time slots up to 7:30 or so.
Nice variety of food for the money.. The only draw back was that some of the food was barely warm..
Would try it again..
Food was cold, not enough service people to work tables. Meatballs were hard like a rock. Pizza was cold and like piece of cardboard. Never going there again.
Everything was great! I love the Italian buffet. The only suggestion I have is that the entrees could be hotter. I’ve eaten here a couple of times and the food is very good but is warm and not hot.
Amazing New Italian Buffet! Went 2 weeks in a row! Will be going back for sure! Very good value for food choices! 👍😁
This was the first time eating at Oliveto, will definitely be back.
VERY DISSAPOINTED THE FOOD WAS OK BUT THERE WAS NOTHING IN TINS MOST PEOPLE HAD TO WAIT FOR FOOD TO COME OUT WHICH MADE THE FOOD ALREADY IN HAND COLD.. THEN AS SOME FOODS RAN OUT THEY REPLACED IT WITH COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ITEMS.. THE DESSERTS WERE SLIM.. THE CONCEPT WHILE GOOD THEY NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO HAVE HOT FOOD READY FOR EVERY BODY WAITING!! I HEARD THE SAME COMPLAINT WITH EVERYONE WAITING ..NOT ENOUGH FOOD IN PANS, ALWAYS EMPTY PANS AND TOO MANY REPLACEMENT ITEMS!!
Everything was great, thank you
Excellent buffet every Friday and Saturday nights as well as show nights. . Weekly menu is equally enticing.
Very disappointed in the Italian Buffet tonight. The food was cold and the buffet was not refilled quick enough. There were a lot of empty stations. Variety was limited. Servers were attentive. I have eaten here in the past when it was not in buffet mode and the food was good but tonight was awful.
Loved the new buffet! Will Definitely go back! Already recommended to many friends!
my wife and I went Saturday evening for the buffet. The food was wonderful. we wish we had bigger stomachs haha. Executive Chef Frank stopped at our table for a conversation and that was wonderful. He then went into the kitchen and brought my wife a couple of pieces of cheesecake because it had been exchanged at the dessert table. We can't wait to go back. It was an overall pleasant evening.
Was a very good dinner experience
Food and service was exceptional!! Will definitely go back.
We went on a concert night, which meant it was buffet style dining. The hostess reacted surprised by our arrival, even with our reservation, and gave us the impression she was doing us a favor by seating us. The restaurant wasn’t even at 10% capacity, so seating wasn’t an issue. Our “waitress” was actually the bar maid, which never once returned to our table after dropping off glasses of water and saying we could head to the buffet. The food was pretty much dried out from the continuous heating and wasn’t being replenished in a timely manner. What I did eat, was tasty, just not what we were expecting...
The buffet was almost empty when we got there. It took forever for the waitress to come for our drink order. Once we finally got food we were very disappointed. Everything tasted the same and was over cooked. We didn’t bother with dessert. I would not recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant used to be a real restaurant. It should go back. It was good food at a fair price. Now it is an utterly underwhelming buffet. Not many choices. Average quality. We would have been better off at the food court. Unless it changes back to a real restaurant, I do not see us returning. On the upside, our waitress was very nice.
Service was extremely slow,. The waitress was very nice an apologetic however the service never improved over the course of dinner.
