Outstanding food and wonderful service, everyone at Olivers is a pleasure to talk to!!
Food was delicious and well presented. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Noise level was a little high for me
If I could give a plus to the stars, I would give it to the service and to the food! I travel to Italy often and Oliver's is so authentic! Don't miss eating at Oliver's!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in OC and definitely our favorite Italian restaurant!
Great pasta and excellent service
The restaurant was nice and the waiter was fine but could have been friendlier. The risotto dish I ordered was so salty and they did bring me a new dish. While it was better it was still very salty and that was the only flavor I could taste. We just felt the food was average and expected more!
Great meal and awesome service!!
We have been twice since we discovered this restaurant less than a month ago. Everything we have tried is delicious and the people could not be nicer. After going the first time, we went with a different couple. The husband declared it to be his new favorite restaurant. Lots of choices - everything tastes great,
Superb restaurant take it from a native born Italian
This is the real deal
Consistently delicious food and excellent service. A bit loud, which could be softened by some acoustic modifications.
Wonderful food, attentive service.
Best and most authentic Italian food in Orange County!
We where seated inside with a booth table which was very nice and comfortable. The food was excellent; just like I remember in Italy in my Mother's kitchen. We had a party of 4 and 3 of us ordered off the menu from the specials they had and all where very good. The Kitchen at Oliver's Osteria compares favorably to any Restaurant in Southern California that we have tried. So far the dishes we have tried have been the Scallops, Agnolotti Ossobucco, Seafood Pasta, Ribolita, Truffle Pasta, Lasagna and all where very good.
We very much appreciate and enjoy dining at Oliver's.
We had an outside table for 8. Service and food were great. We'll be back. Especially love the veal chop and Bistecca Fiorentina!
Celebrated my son’s 17th b day
Excellent pasta!! Finally Orange County has a delicious authentic italian restaurant. I will be back!
We've had such great food here, we booked it for a birthday celebration. The branzino was very good with tasty spinach. The salmon was good but the potatoes were uncooked. The chicken agnolotti and the artichoke appetizer were very disappointing. The green salad was very good and the sorbets were outstanding. Stick to the pasta - always really good
We love Oliver’s and make a point to dine with a regular group at least twice a month. The food is outstanding and all very, very fresh. The menu and specials are consistently outstanding! Not to be missed.
Fantastic food and fabulous service.
Loved everything about tonight.
Absolutely delicious. Food is authentic Italian. Service was excellent.
Food was fantastic, staff was very friendly. Service was a little slow but it was a Friday night
First time here and the food was exceptional. Very authentic and effeminately worth another visit. It was a busy Friday evening, but the service still could have been a bit better.
Among the top Italian food in Orange County!
Love the food and the atmosphere.
Really good food and great service. Ask for Marco as your server and you will have a great night.
We went for lunch on the weekend, with our kids. The food was really good, but the restaurant was very quiet. It’s located in a strip mall - so you don’t get the Laguna Beach atmosphere or view. Having said that, if you’re looking for authentic Italian - this is a good spot.
An amazing experience and the best homemade limoncello!
The food and service were Fabulous! I would go there again, but it was loud like most places in laguna!
Always wonderful food, drink and service.
Excellent Kitchen the food was outstanding. It was nice meeting Erik; what a great Chef. When my wife’s Scallop dish arrived it had such a fantastic artistic presentation with the 3 individual Scallops in each dish on the long plate; they where delicious. My Agnolotti dish was equally beautiful and delicious with the stunning yellow color from the saffron and parmesan preparation. The Agnolotti where cooked perfect.
Giovanni our waiter made us feel comfortable and treated us with great service. We where so happy to discover Oliver’s Osteria our new favorite restaurant in Orange County. We look forward to trying new dishes next time and also we plan on trying Brunch.
Just a fun-great experience finding this excellent new restaurant.
What a great experience from the service to the authentic Italian food. Chef Erik stopped by and shared his story and our server Marco represents this restaurant very well. We will be back very soon to try other menu items
Great spot for a fun, bustling dinner with friends. The sevice was exceptional but the real star is the food here. The Cacio e pepe is authentically prepared and tastes like Roma! I will never leave there without eating the Wild boar ragu. Have not eaten pasta since leaving Italy, but now I have found my spot! Our waiter Marco was great and everyone from the manager, Gianfranco to Erik stopped by to ask about our dinner. Very fun crowd.
Overall our experience was amazing ... food and service, but server failed to acknowledge my birthday after my husband mentioned it and the reservation noted it so that was a little disappointing since we do not get many date nights. Also I do think $25 is a bit steep for a corkage. There have been several restaurants in this spot so hopefully this one will make it.
We felt very rushed throughout the evening
OMG...what a gracious and delicious evening!!
We started with a couple salads that were beautifully plated and mouth watering! We shared the eggplant parmigiana and was our favorite until we had our pastas. Caci e pepi, gnocchi and ravioli were perfectly cooked and so rich and delicious!! Giovanni recommenced a lovely wine that matched all the food! Can’t wait for our next meal!!
Oliver's is a great addition to the line-up of newer restaurants in town. Small, but intimate, sometimes noisy, but the food is always spot on. Being a fan of white truffles, I have had them all over Europe and am always anxious to try the when I see them on a local menu. I must say that they did a superb job - absolutely perfect pasta with a light cream sauce and shaved white truffles, BUT....and this is a big BUT.....you have to really crave them to pay $120 for a small plate of pasta - yes, I did say $120!!! Not something you would do often. I find some things a bit pricey on the regular menu so choose wisely but you will never be disappointed.
We have been to Oliver’s before and had a great experience. This time the food was very good (again), but the service did not compliment the dining experience. As a twosome, my beet salad was delivered by a bus staff (after we caught his eye) about 5-8 minutes after delivery of my wife’s salad by the waiter. Our sautéed spinach side was delivered (cold!!) as we finished our entrees...15 minutes late. I expect better service at this price point.
Each of the 4 of us had a different dish, and all pasta was home made. The spinach ravioli with safe butter had a wonderful creamy flavor. The Bolognese was most flavorful. The lasagna was creamy and moist, and a very generous portion. The octopus salad was unique and tasty, though a little light on octopus. Nice wine list and we enjoyed a Stags Leap Chardonnay and Rombauer zinfandel. Sergio was attentive and helpful. A surprise visit to our table by chef Erik de Marchi was delightful and confirmed his dedication to providing an outstanding experience.
Excellent food. I enjoyed the roasted beet salad, which was the best I’ve ever had. The beets were cooked to perfection with no added sugar or glaze. The olive oil used was very high quality, with the addition of some delicious goat cheese and lightly candied walnuts. The most perfect beet salad truly. I topped it off with their homemade tagliolini al limone pasta, which was worth every calorie. The lemon zest was fragrant and flavorful and complemented the light cream sauce perfectly. Service was great and the food was even better. My favorite Italian place in Laguna.
Oliver's is hidden from the street, but is definitely worth the hunt. The ambiance is energetic and bustling like a big city restaurant (but a bit loud due to an apparent lack of sound proofing). The food is terrific. Three of our group had pasta dishes, and one had the salmon dish, lemon and caper sauce, all dishes were excellent even from picky Italian perspectives.
