Loved everything about our dining experience!
Food was delicious!.. atmosphere was inviting & fun!.. service was perfect!
Our first visit to Oliver's Osteria Restaurant. Very pleasant place, nice decor and ambiance. Great service form setting foot inside the door, we were greeted in a friendly manner and seated at a nice table. Our waiter and all the other staff were all very professional, warm and friendly towards us. Service, food and selection of wines was fantastic. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend the restaurant.
Loved almost everything about this new restaurant. I have two suggestions because I liked it so much and I want to see it succeed. I think they should work on finding a better bread or better rolls. Very important. Also think they should add a Caesar salad and an Italian salad to there choices of salads. Otherwise loved the restaurant and the people that work there and own it. Pastas were great too. Best of luck ....Been there 4 times
It so special to find a family owned restaurant that has wonderful food, great service and personal warmth. The carpaccio was wonderful as was the veal scallopini ad tagliatelle bolonese. We will definitely return!
We have found the best Italian in Laguna Beach! Dined here with friends, we all ordered different entrees, all were fantastic. Service was spot on and the Chef/Owner came out to introduce himself. The pasta is made in house and melts in your mouth, truly a wonderful dining experience.
Stopped by late in evening. Almost closing time. We were greeted by s very friendly person. All staff was very nice. Food was terrific. We both had 2 different kinds of pasta. Both were delicious.
We will come back again. Nice place.
We have been coming to Oliver's since it opened. The food has always been great and has been better each time we have returned. For those that enjoy true Emilia-Romagna Italian cuisine, and not the "red sauce and cheese" places, this is a must visit.
Perfect lunch for a Sunday. Super service and excellent pasta, veal and desserts. Highly recommended!!!
Always love coming to Oliver’s. It is a small family run restaurant with authentic Italian cooking. Our last visit we had the artichoke salad, the sole special and the rigatoni. All were delicious! My only complaint would be that they need to work on their service. Everyone is always really friendly but little things like clearing salad and appetizer plates before the main course arrives, making sure utensils are replaced when taken away, offering fresh ground pepper are missed. Not a big deal but would enhance the dining experience. We will definitely be back.
This is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants I’ve visited in the US. Excellent food, superb warm service, unique wine, beautiful ambiance. We had a wonderful experience.
I recommend the pasta cacio e pepe
Love this place. It’s like being in Italy. Food is unique and service the best!
First time at Oliver’s and it was amazing! We will definitely be back. The food was outstanding, so fresh and delicious. Oliver and staff were charming!
We always enjoy going there for dinner before a play. The menu has changed and our waiter said that they intend to add seasonal items every quarter. As always, the food and service was excellent.
I have eaten here twice within two weeks. Pasta truly is handmade & amazing. It is worth the price. The portions that look small are small because they are so rich you couldn’t eat more. Save room for dessert! The kitchen is slightly slow, but it is worth the wait. Reservations are essential for dinner. Soon they will be serving brunch Saturday and Sunday.
The bread was awful. Not sure why they serve it. It's such a weird consistency. The food was ok. My husband's lasagne was tiny. Not enough food. I wouldn't go back. Uber kept cancelling on us too. So drive if you go.
Excellent homemade pastas. They only misstep is their bread. They serve small hard and dry slices of bread with a bruschetta
Our guests enjoyed their meals but I received the toughest steak that I have had in years. it was overcooked and really tough. The chef apologized and took the steak off our bill but the waiter tried to blame it on the young inexperienced cooks instead of just apologizing and letting it go. We will go back but I hope they can solve this problem.
Great real Italian food, have had great servers, just a bit loud, but they're working on that. Go and enjoy a really good dinner!
We were excited to experience Olivers Osteria. Sadly, the tables were jammed in a very tight space and the noise level was so bad that we could only converse if we shouted at one another. The bread was stale, cold and tasteless. The fish was over cooked and the spinach tasted like gas was poured over it. It was truly inedible. We were so turned off by the ambiance and food that we couldn't finish our food and didn't want to order dessert. We plan to go back when it becomes a different restaurant.
Branzino fish excellent yet we wished you could substitute the potato for pasta. We could not so we had to order another pasta dish and split it vs the potato, risotta good, carpaccio could have colder as it was delicious but kinda of warm. The pasta with black pepper was very good. Tight quarters and very noisy so if you want a quiet dinner conversation this would not be a good restaurant unless you are outside on the patio. Great vibe though....
Incredibly friendly and hospitable service, along with magnificent cuisine prepared by a truly gifted chef/owner. First time there, and blew all four of us away. Don't be bothered by a wait, book early, as this may be the best restaurant in Laguna Beach. So happy we discovered it!
The Dynasty of Italian Cuisine that has been in Los Angeles for the last 40 years has decided to Bless
the O.C. with one of their own. Finally I will no longer have to drive to LA for a resemblance of Italian food.
The restaurant is beautiful and the staff and food were excellent. We will be back.
Was expecting better, good but not great. Gnocchi w/spinach and meat sauce was only ok but lacked flavor. Chicken patty fried with arugula was dry. Not a very pretty restaurant, tight with people sitting at bar staring at you.
The house made pastas are the highlight. Also great wines by the glass, wonderful service and the chef and owner make the rounds to make sure guests are enjoying their meals.
Love this restaurant! Every pasta we have had has been excellent. The octopus appetizer is so tender and delicious. Chef Eric is wonderful. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Orange County. Service is always great. Our server, Gianfranco, is professional, friendly and has a great sense of humor.
This is a brand new cozy place with the finest food and superior service! We will go back!
Food is outstanding. Freshest ingredients, seasoned to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Oliver's more than once. Definitely our favorite restaurant in town!
there amazing people that work there eric is a great chef
The pasta was very memorable, will return for the rigatoni cacio e pepe for sure
we had to wait almost 30 minutes for our confirmed reservation. but when seated a complimentary charcuterie plate was brought to our table
Food and service were very good.
We like the management especially Sam
Great food and fantastic staff!! We will be back
This was our first time here. It’s a small Chef/owned restaurant. There were 3 of us for dinner. We shared the artichoke salad and octopus appetizer. The artichoke was cut into slivers and molded together. Beautiful dish. The octopus was one of the I have ever had. It was tender, flavorful & beautifully presented. We also shared the tagliatelle with Bolognese. It was ethereal. I believe all the pastas are made in house. Entrees were veal piccata, salmon and seafood stew. The veal was tender and tasty. Salmon was cooked perfectly. One of the things about the stew was the sauce. Our server, Gianfranco, was excellent. Sam, the manager, was so friendly and jovial. Chef Eric is the best! Great restaurant and we are looking forward to going back.
Thoughtful, well executed food. Not dumbed down for the masses. Top cocktails, too.
Anniversary but they did not honor it
First time to the restaurant. Chef was outstanding. So was his team. Food was fresh and delicious. Exactly what we needed in Laguna Beach.
We went there celebrating my boyfriends birthday. Made an 8:30 reservation but sat at the table after 9:15. Manager made up for it with comped cocktails though (thumbs up). They did not manage tables well for amount of reservations allowed. Food was excellent, had the beef carpaccio & eggplant appetizers then tagliatelle and cappelletti as main dish. Have to admit we were turned off a bit when our waiter opened our special bottle of wine that we brought & poured both glasses more than halfway in a rushed manor. Nice, young waiter, but you could sense his rush attitude. We will return but probably during the weekday. Tiramisu was a proper one :)
Food was fantastic we all loved it our first time ! Service was excellent! But so loud in the restaurant very hard to talk my only complaint!
Great food. Great service.
Very enjoyable experience. I will be going back very soon! Best new Italian restaurant in the area.
