Olivera has only been open for a few weeks. The service was really good with friendly and energetic staff. The food was also good but didn’t quite get to greatness. The scallops had a great flavour but the whole pistachios made an odd texture combination with the scallops and the octopus seemed slightly overcooked. The pasta special with truffles also had good flavour but we couldn’t really taste the truffle which you would expect for $40. The focaccia was delicious as were the lamb ribs. We finished with the pannacotta. The pannacotta itself was delicious but the accompanying flavours seemed to overwhelm it a bit. Overall, Olivera gives Manly village another good dining option. The food is just about there but it will need to elevate for the price.

Tasty food, helpful staff. Our meals arrived quickly. Maybe more info regarding serving size of share plates could have been useful when ordering, but overall, a great night out with friends.

Lovely to see this venue get a facelift! Beautiful decor but not overly practical for a menu “designed to share”. Tiny round table for 2 barely fit drinks and then when I asked to have only 1 thing brought out at a time, we were flooded with plates all at once. Food was delicious - the highlight of the night. Service was good from most staff however our waitress was completely distracted, looking around the room at other guests while taking our order - several mistakes as a consequence. Hope it improves with some time to work out the kinks.

I had a generally pleasant experience, although I believe the service could be improved as there were a few minor shortcomings. The food was excellent except for the dessert; the tiramisu was excessively runny and contained unexpected figs, while my wife found the panna cotta slightly less sweet than she would have preferred, though I enjoyed it. We plan to return to give it another try.

Standout dishes were the lamb ribs, lamb shoulder and the scallops- all 10/10. 9/10 for the Berkshire pork chop. Friendly staff. Informative waitress. Music was a little loud so it was a bit hard to converse across the table. Beautifully decorated and comfy chairs. We will definitely come again. 4 1/2 stars

Olivera is a fresh bite straight from the Aegean. The venue is lifted with a high ceiling to encourage that sea breeze to carry in. The drinks are tailored to help you escape into that bayside hamptons lifestyle. I can’t picture anything nicer than eating a few of their delicious small plates whilst enjoying a cocktail or two on a summer Sunday. You would do yourselves and your companions a disservice if you did not order everything to share and embrace the Mediterranean culinary style. For us the stand out meals were the multitude of bites. Started with the fresh focaccia bread, olives and chorizo. Yes I have included some photos for you. I did nearly lose a hand trying to stop my family from eating before it. We then moved onto a smorgasbord board of delightful fun fish and other dishes. Too many to mention here. I would be remiss though if I didn’t mention the yellowfin tuna so fresh and delicious. Sadly we tapped out before getting to the larger dish serves but if the smalls and bites are anything to go by they will be amazing. We will certainly be back to try their larger serves. So if you are excited to try something maybe a little different from your usual fish tacos and brioche bun burgers get yourself to the Olivera and drift off to a different world.
