Olive and June is a Southern Italian restaurant by Chef Shawn Cirkiel of Parkside Projects.
In celebration of both the cuisine and culture of Southern Italy, all pastas are made in-house and every dish focuses on locally-sourced vegetables and meats. Olive and June's beverage program features Italian-inspired cocktails and also includes a diverse selection of Italian wine, Amari, and Grappa.

** Reservations are highly recommended. We kindly ask guests conclude their meal within two hours. Due to a industry-wide phenomenon of late cancellations and no-shows we now require a credit card to hold a table. No shows and day of reservations will be charged $10 per person. The restaurant stops taking food orders at 9:30pm and drink orders at 9:45pm.**

    The pasta and appetizers were good, but the main entree, the steak, left much to be desired. Overall the service was not what I would expect in a fine dining setting. They seemed either poorly trained or ambivalent.

    This is one of those restaurants I have really wanted to like. This is the third time we have been there, and each time I hoped the food would improve. While the pasta is homemade and everything is very fresh, ultimately the food is mediocre and something you could easily improve on at home. The sauces are not flavorful, and actually greasy with all the butter. The bread tastes like take and bake. We have eaten at Parkside and found it to be creative. Hopefully, someone can spruce up the food here. The bright spot is excellent service. The noise level was low at first but up to 80-90 decibels once the restaurant filled up.

    I really wanted to love this spot! It’s been on our list to try for a while. Unfortunately, it was underwhelming at best. In all fairness to the staff, there was a huge private party that seemed to suck up a lot of attention but our service suffered (we were there well past closing and not by choice!) and so did the food. We ordered the broccolini, bucatini and pappardelle. The broccolini and pappardelle were excellent but the bucatini was over cooked and underwhelming. We still want to come back after a while to give it another chance, but bummed about the dinner we received.

    Such a pretty place. Staff was friendly and helpful, although the hostess was not as much. Put a smile on that face for your customers and when there are so many empty tables, maybe ask if the one assigned is okay? Wait staff was great and helpful. Timing of food and drinks was perfect. We weren’t rushed. Salads were really good. But mostly the food was average. Not bad, just not great.

    The charcuterie was absolutely wonderful. The bruschetta was as well. The bartender on the second floor made us very welcome even though she was terribly busy. She took very good care of us. Definitely recommend.

    Olive and June was a great experience and the food was excellent! The Papardelle was delicious as was the duck breast. The blistered green beans were a hit with the table; only semi-miss was the brushchetta; basically served on a regular baguette and was difficult to eat. Tasted good but the difficulty in eating it took away from that. All in all, a great way to spend a birthday evening!

    Olive & June is an excellent restaurant with really great food, excellent service and an extensive wine list. Their menu has several imaginative and inventive dishes (appetizers through desserts) to try, and everything we tried was really tasty. The orange posset with frozen hibiscus and frozen candied mint was fun and was a surprise at how great it tasted. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable to the point that he was able to tell us all of the ingredients and spices when we asked questions about the menu since this was our first visit there. I recommend you give Olive & June a try if you have never eaten here before!

    Let me start with the wait staff is simply great. The bartender is not very helpful... even annoyed if asked a question. The entrance is a big mystery...ok what I mean is a sign is barely visible and no obvious entrance. This wasn't just us not able to find the entrance..was also 3 other groups/couples that came in while we were there. I asked the waitress about and she said it happens a lot...I think the owner should get a clue about this. Ok now the food...green beans pretty good, potatoes quite tasty...but the yogurt under the potatoes..sage yogurt... absolutely not edible. Bad smell bad taste. The ravioli was delicious. The Swordfish...come on ...do not freeze and thaw Swordfish and leave it for more than a day...very fishy taste and I've never had Swordfish that had a fishy taste. A good friend of mine (very world known chef whom I will not mention for his anonymity) said Swordfish only gets fishy if frozen and thawed and sits more than a couple days. The good...nice location... ambiance was wonderful, all waitresses and waiters were spectacular, runners were on point, and the wines were great...though I was hoping for a recommendation to go with the Swordfish...and the desserts... absolutely fabulous and they can focus on that and not be hurt for business! You should know just because I think the Swordfish was not worth putting on a plate doesn't mean I won't return.. because I would love to go back and try more dishes...like the Porterhouse...that's waiting for my return for sure.

    The menu choices were hard to choose from since they all sounded appealing. Fortunately, the portions were large enough that the apps were shareable and delightful in that we all tasted so many items. The service was a little slow and we had to leave abruptly in order to make it to a performance. They were attempting to allow us to dine leisurely and keep missing our cues.

    Kept reading some not so favorable reviews and got nervous as this was for my wife’s birthday and I had never been before. Well I can say I had no real complaints last night, it is a little noisy on the first level indoors but not intolerable, I was able to converse with my wife just fine, we had the ravioli and cappelini and the semifredo for dessert and it was delicious. We really enjoyed the food, the dessert was insane, service was excellent, they didn’t go crazy for my wife’s birthday but still put a candle on the dessert and I believe it may have been comped as well, I will definitely be going back again and would recommend them, it was expensive but for the experience and the food and all I feel it was worth it.

    I love the outdoor patio! Multi-level with a gorgeous old tree and twinkling lights. The food is amazing, and the staff are friendly and very helpful.

    Nice place for an anniversary dinner. Unique entrees with great flavors. Did find it odd that a cheese board would have only one kind of cheese on it but it was enough I guess.

    We had the special salad (ok) and the special porterhouse to share, which was good. Got the chocolate tortte for dessert but returned it because it was very dry, tasted a day old. Perhaps just not what we like. Still like this restaurant for its ambiance and great service.

    Food was of good quality. Meatball appetizer was very good but really spicy. Pasta dishes were also very good and fresh. We never received any bread at the table which we found really odd for Italian restaurant. Caesar salad was a little different as it had tomatoes, multiple lettuce types, and onions, should have named it a house salad. I am a stickler for the details, and if anyone looks up at the air conditioning vents on 2nd floor, you would see that they are filthy and covered in black mold, completely unacceptable for a higher end food establishment. This was a major turnoff and will prohibit me from ever eating there again which is a shame given the food was very good.

    Caden is a fine young man that took great care of us. We highly recommend any of the cocktails and especially their pasta dishes. The sweet corn ravioli was delicious and the duck was cooked to perfection. We are looking forward to coming back very soon!

    The food and service are very good. The menu is fairly limited, but there is a fine variety. The ambience is a bit stark with a basic white theme, and chairs that have hard wooden seats. When the room is full of diners it is quite loud.
