The sunday dinner is a great option for someone who want's to get multiple tastes of things for a low amount of money. The tiramisu was amazing as well. Our waiter was nice and was quick with everything. We will for sure be visiting this place again for dinner.

It was very loud in the dining room upstairs that made it very hard to have a conversation. We had a 7:15 p.m. dinner reservation and the monkfish was already sold out. The shrimp linguine came with crayfish instead but we were not notified of this change before receiving the dish. If we had known of the change we would have ordered something else from the beginning. The frito misto and crudo were delicious though. While the lamb ravioli was also good the quail was too salty. The service was very good though from the hostess, the server and valet crew. But, with everything said we won't be heading back.

Everything was great!!! Food was very delicious and the service was wonderful. The only thing I felt was missing was the lowering of the lights for a more dinner type ambiance during my visit. Other than that, I would definitely come eat here again.

My wife and I visited Olive and June for our Valentines Day supper. The food and drinks were very good and appropriately priced for the quality. Our waiter, who also serves as a bartender on other nights, was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations in line with our preferences. When we arrived, 20 minute before our reservations, we asked if we could sit at our table early. We were given the option to sit outside or wait until our reservation and move inside. When I requested to sit at one of the eight open tables nearby until the 20 minutes had elapsed, the hostess stated that we would either stay outside or await the table inside, but couldn’t do both. I would’ve appreciated the opportunity to sit and wait for our table inside. Overall, I would recommend Olive and June to couples looking for a nice romantic time with high quality, tasty eats.

I was prepared to dislike this restaurant as another snooty, loud, and uncomfortable Austin "foodie" restaurant, but we were treating a friend to thank him for help he had given us and this was his pick. My husband and I were both pleasantly surprised. While it cost more than we would like to spend on a meal out on a regular basis, the food and service were excellent (in particular, the young woman who seated us was very gracious about my grumbling and asking to be reseated twice). We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere: no blaring music echoing off of concrete floors making conversation impossible. And the seating was comfortable: we were not sitting on benches or boxes or backless stools as is so often the case in newer restaurants. My gin cocktail was a bit strange, but I liked it once I got used to it, the salad was tasty and the ricotta ravioli was heavenly. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal. We will recommend this place and consider it again for special occasions.

We visited Olive and June early on a Sunday evening. It was not crowded and never really became crowded. The food was very good. The staff was really great and very well informed about the offering.

We had the price fixe menu. Although we’ve traveled extensively and consider ourselves foodies, many of the dishes were quite unique. We loved the selections and the service was very good. We recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

This was our second visit to Olive and June, and again I delighted with the gracious level of service from everyone we interacted with. Last time, I dropped my iphone in the gutter in a downpour and the waitress quickly brought us a container of rice to help dry it out. On our second visit, I simply wanted a nice gin cocktail, and our waiter called over another more experienced waiter who asked me a couple of questions to get my tastes and gave me the name of my new favorite cocktail.

I often find Italian restaurants boring, but Olive and June's menu is full of interesting options, and everything our party of 3 sampled was well conceived and executed. DO NOT miss out on the sweet potato side -- it is heaven on a plate. The monkfish was delicious, as was the crostini, the farm egg with polenta and mushrooms, the fried risotto, and all the pastas we tried.

We live in the neighborhood and Olive & June is one of our favorite spots. On our most recent visit, we had incredible food and wine, but the best part was that we could linger for hours and didn't feel the slightest bit rushed. It's a great spot for a date or celebratory dinner, and the wine list can't be beat. If you haven't been, book a reservation now!

One of my worst dining experiences in Austin. Service was average fo a low end restaurant, but this supposed to be nicer. Simple things such as wanting us to set our used silverware on the table between courses (I had to say no each time and tell them to bring clean silverware), to opening additional bottles of wine and want to immediately pour it (I said no, let me taste in a fresh glass each time) were just some of the ways service was below par. Then the food. Three of us had pasta, and it came out cold, not luke warm, but cold. They remade it and it came out cold again. I did not give them a third try. By that time I was just ready to leave hungry. I will not be returning. There are too many other quality Italian restaurants in Austin to justify. We had a Sophias the following night, it was great. Go to Sophias or Italic instead.

We absolutely loved our meal. The wait staff was knowledgeable and informative in helping us make sellar wine and menu choices, and our food was outstanding. The ambiance and aesthetic was cozy but clean and polished, with wonderful booths for small parties and nice tables for bigger groups. Best Italian food I’ve had in Austin!!

Wonderful! They are not kidding about the homemade pastas. Beware the portion size though! If you are going to do the pasta as a primi, either share or ask to take home half of it (it is a meal worthy of itself), because I guarantee you won't want to fill up for the secondi/main event! I had the monkfish and it was so good. Fresh, lots of bright, complex flavors, extremely well done all around. The entire meal! We WILL be back . . . thanks!

I hosted a dinner as part of a bachelorette weekend with 8 women at Olive and June. I told them I was hosting a special occasion dinner and they set aside the back room with a long dining room table for us. It was such a nice surprise to walk into and we had an amazing waitress who talked through all our dietary restrictions with us. They were so kind and accommodating and the food was amazing! I'm so glad to have picked this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone who asked!

Another satisfying meal! The root vegetable salad was subtle; perfect balance between the richness of the vegetables and lightness of greens. The bucatini with guanciale was sublime; very al dente pasta with just enough porky richness to turn this dish into a luxury. Finally the red snapper was perfectly cooked, however the dish was disappointing. The kale was drenched with what tasted like brown butter, rendering it inedible and the fish portion was somewhat too small.
The banquettes on the second floor are roomy and comfortable but the room can use some updating. It's dull.
O&J is consistently good, just wish they would up their game a bit.

My friends and I were given high quality service. We stuck mostly with appetizers since there were little options on the menu for a vegetarian. However, the cheese board is amazing and the bruschetta-like appetizer was excellent as were the specialty cocktails. The downer was the tiramisu. It was oddly plated and it looked gross. The taste was bad because the best part about tiramisu is that by layering all the ingredients they then have time to soak and create a magnificent delight. Not so in this case since things were dolloped on the plate. From the looks of it, they weren’t expecting anyone to order it, therefore it was something they threw quickly on a plate. I will say that the scoop of ice cream that came with it was very tasty. I would recommend this place to friends and family that are non-vegetarian and just advise them to stay away from the tiramisu. I scored low on the atmosphere because of the plastic bubble we had to dine in. My friend arrived early so that was the choice made instead of dining inside which from the view inside the bubble inside looked like it was divine. I also had requested outside on Open Table due to all the wonderful things I heard about the large oak tree and lighting, but in winter time you get the bubble.

Thanks for allowing feedback!
