I wish I could give you a higher rating based on the previous ratings that I had read on-line, but no can do. The service was not the best - we had a new server but she couldn't answer basic questions about the ingredients in the salads, entrees, or pizzas, and she kept disappearing. VERY LIMITED MENU! We split the Italian Salad and it was a bowl of horrible dandelion greens with few toppings, and WAY TOO SALTY! When we ordered the pizza we expected that it would take 20 -30 minutes to prepare so we could finish our salad before it would be brought to our table. However, it was served 5 minutes later with our salad. It was: 1. Cold, 2. Undercooked, and 3. Sitting in a chafing dish before the first diners arrived which explains why it was served so quickly. So for $80.00 (before gratuity) we had 1 Italian Salad, 1 medium salad and 2x glasses of wine. Not a good value.

This was easily within my top 5 meals of all time. Our waiter made suggestions and we followed them all. Amazing steak! We are looking forward to our return!

We went to Olive & Hay for breakfast two days in a row. Great breakfast and the service was great. My wife is celiac and she said they had the best gluten free bread. My poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend O&H for your visit to Napa.

We stayed at the Meritage and decided to have breakfast before heading to the airport and we were NOT disappointed! We had the Wine Country Breakfast, Omelet Florentine, and Brioche French Toast. Everything was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, quick, courteous, and efficient. If we return to the Meritage, we know where breakfast will be!

Food and service absolutely top notch! Ambiance and decor delightful. My party ordered the Italian bread, Brussel sprouts, meatballs, the spaghetti dish, and finished it off with the Italian donuts. We were not disappointed in any aspect of the experience!

The inside of the restaurant has zero ambiance. Dark and cavernous. Clearly needs help. The outside was nice but nothing special. And the hostess was exceptionally lame. I asked her three times to make sure she checked us in to Opentable. She said she would. Guess what? She did not. I think this place needs lots of help!!!!!

Host was super uncomfortable and unfriendly especially to mothers on Mother’s Day!

Server was kind but forgot ever part of our meal: butter, bacon, sausage, breads, jam, syrup, water, etc…

We were so excited and so sad and disappointed to have such terrible service, cold food when it was essentially an empty restaurant.

Specifically requested and confirmed outdoor dining since we were there with 2 young kids. Unable to seat us outside without a 25 minute wait. There were parties of 2 at tables for 4 and they tried to seat all 4 of us at a table for 2 outside.

This restaurant was amazing. The food was delicious, the server was so nice. All of the workers were polite and made sure we were taken care of. They let us stay and talk after they had closed. They never told us they were closed and needed to leave. They continued to fill our water. We had a really good experience.

Wonderful food! We had breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was really great but dinner was amazing. The strip steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned with an incredible sauce. Everyone loved their dinners.

This restaurant is at a resort. I thought the food would be Italian but it was not. It was California odd. A hamburger, an avo toast , a bacon and egg breakfast. No sides to speak of. It was ok but I have no plans to go back.

There was a very large adult birthday party in the main dining area. We have had dinner at this restaurant in the past so we know the acoustics are loud even when it is quiet. It was quite chilly so were not physically comfortable during most of our meal. My halibut was overcooked looking like it sat under the heat lamp for way too long. I asked for it to be redone. Too bad that 2nd wasn't what was served the first time around or I would have given a better review. I do expect better in Napa.

The waitstaff was excellent. They all seemed to really work as a team. All were pleasant, accommodating and knowledgeable.

It was our 31st wedding anniversary and we were offered a complimentary glass of champagne or dessert. We selected the donuts for dessert. Delicious.
Our meals were delicious (halibut and seafood pasta) and the skillet bread.

Our overall experience was truly memorable.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch and received very quick and attentive service. The parmesan garlic fries are the best and the burrata appetizer was delicious. Also had the Big Italian Salad with a very juicy grilled chicken breast on top. We had enough to take home and eat the leftovers for a great dinner.

From the time we were greeted to the time we departed, staff was attentive and always available when needed. The food was excellent; fresh ingredients and appropriate amounts. Fiona was absolutely the most delightful waitress we have ever encountered. Fiona made our experience pleasurable, and because of her, we returned two more times asking for her area of the restaurant. Keep serving fresh/delicious food and providing exceptional customer service!

I had a reservation on a Sunday night mid-April and upon arrival was told it would be a bit of a wait since there were only two servers on the floor. After about 15-20 minutes, we were seated at our table. The restaurant is really big, so seemed very empty, and was a little too quiet (music?), but the decor was very tastefully done. After the slow start, I was impressed with how fast the server took our order. The food actually ended up arriving within 10-15 minutes, before our drinks, even. The spaghettis and fresh salad were both incredibly delicious and easily made up for the slow start! I would highly recommend Olive & Hay, especially to anyone staying at the Meritage.
