Whew, I can't begin to explain how overpriced this restaurant is. On New Year's Eve, my husband and I had a very mediocre 3 course meal with one cocktail and a lemonade that cost us $393. I can't believe we paid this much for such an awful meal. I would have had a better meal at a chain restaurant like the Cheesecake Factory and saved $300!
The ambiance and setting of this restaurant is absolutely adorable. However, I expected more from the food. When eating fine dining you expect more.
It was an experience, but, not one I will do again.
You had a great set menu, the wine was fabulous the food was great and of course we had the lovely Claudia as our waitress! Not much more you can ask for. Thanks
The service was amazing. The food was fair. Due to New Year’s Eve and the fixed menu, $99 person/plate not including any drinks vs. quality of actual food- 2 stars for value. Great service and nice atmosphere, recommend going on a night when the menu is not fixed!
Very disappointing, food was average, service was terrible. For the prices they charge you will have a much better experience at Flemings or Maestros.
Very pricey but great food!
Great food and drinks! The hangar steak was the best!
Took a little while, but great ambiance, service and food.
Food was so so. Service left a lot to be desired. Seems like seating inside has better service
One of the bar tenders who had just gotten off her shift met up with a bunch of her friends for dinner. They were extremely loud and obnoxious. Throwing the middle finger around, yelling f*** you to each other, and not wearing a mask when walking back and forth from table to the bar. I’ve eaten here before and had absolutely incredible dining experience. This one felt different. On top of that the server was removing the plate before I was even able to finish the food on the plate. When removing the plates she would hold the dirty plates right in front of my nose as I was trying to eat. Usually waiters politely say pardon my reach. The staff this evening in some ways shocked me with their lack of awareness.
While the physical location is beautiful, the ala carte prices are - for the most part - ridiculous! $70 for a steak? C’mon! $8.00 for bread & butter? C’mon! That being said … our shared Salmon was very good, as was their version of a Caesar Salad. Overall, despite the noise, we enjoyed it and will probably go back … just not as often as we’d like.
Amazing food and amazing setting. Highly recommend.
Very good . Xmas gathering
The brunch is my favorite and will continue to dine here with family and friends
Olive and Citrus is one of my favorite places to be. The good is exceptional, drinks are great, service always fantastic. Very well treated when I am there. Highly recommended.
Food was awesome! My date enjoyed it as well. Will definitely be back.
My husband and I took our dear friends out to brunch to thank them for allowing us to use their beautiful home for our wedding venue. They were so impressed by the foot and atmosphere. Being locals, they didn’t even know the restaurant existed. They were thrilled and we had a great time. The menu was perfect, they even offered a delicious breakfast salad that worked out great since one of them has very limited eating restrictions at the time. Will be back very soon.
Wonderful service and wonderful food! Highly recommend.
Food and drinks pretty slow coming out of the kitchen but that seems to be the case a lot of places these days. Most of our food was cold. I had heard good things about the short rib but it was mostly fat and lacked flavor. I understand that short ribs are fattier to begin with but if I put a bite into my mouth and the entire thing is fat, that’s not appetizing. Especially for how much was paid for the dish. The pasta dish and the tomato soup were delicious. Sat outside on a cold night but the heated lamp next to us wasn’t working. Not the greatest first impression.
Our waitress was, apparently, new and served us linguini instead of tagliatelle which was a disappointment. After a too long wait for the food we did not want to make a change. The food was excellent, however, except a tad on the salty side. We ate on the patio and it was too dark to read the menu or see the food well. The heaters worked well and kept us comfortable on a cold December evening. On the whole, it was an OK but not great evening.
They accommodated us earlier than our reservation. Thank you! Not too crowded or noisy. Thank you! Indicated which food selections were gluten free. Thank you! All of a selections were fresh, tasty and well executed. We were hoping for a few dishes that were unusual or had a different approach. Only a couple of choices fell into that category such a presentation of turn sushimi with a citrus sauces that was offered as an appetizer. We are glad that we selected it as it was excellent! The Salt Springs mussels from British Columbia in a chorizo broth was also excellent. Our shrimp, salmon and barramundi well prepared but boarded on the ordinary. Everyone enjoyed the asparagus but would not order the duck fat prepared potatoes again as we were hoping for something crispy and these were not. Plus, a little seasoning would have brightened the taste. My husband really enjoyed his butterscotch pudding while the commercial gelato was well portioned and tasty to finish the meal. We would have wished for a site prepared ice cream or sorbet. Service was prompt and attentive.
Great service food was excellent
Olive & Citrus was one of the best meals I've had in a while. Although a bit on the pricy side, it was still worth the meal.
For a party of 3 getting getting 2 alcoholic drinks, 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and 3 deserts the total was around 330 including tax.
My only issue was the music, it felt slightly too loud for my liking, but was still an excellent experience.
I would happily return to enjoy any meal present at the restaurant.
The ambience was great, staff were extremely nice. My family member on wheelchair had no problem with coming up to the restaurant using the lift (a staff came out and helped us to use it).
However, we thought food was overpriced for what it was. We were party of 7 including 2 kids, only 3 of us had alcohol. We ended up paying almost $800 total.
Raw oysters were fresh, we were very happy about that. However, Hamachi dish we ordered as an appetizer was obviously NOT Hamachi. It looked and tasted like a farm raised salmon or red trout. It was clearly pink-colored fish, not yellowtail (Hamachi) which supposed to be brownish white. We were not happy about that they probably thought we wouldn’t know the difference and still charged same amount.
It was a bit noisy, our server was not able to hear a dessert order correctly, brought a different dish. She left the one without charging and brought the correct one. That was very nice of her.
Overall, great environment and staff, but the food was disappointing for the price.
Outstanding as always.
Really good food, though took some time to come out, otherwise excellent service.
So happy Olive & Citrus is surviving this pandemic! Food us exceptional ... flavors like this not found anywhere else! The chef(s) are amazing, snd their creativity keeps us coming back!
Food was horrible. We had the branzino fish and it was mushy and tasteless.
The overall experience was great! Excellent food, though very-very pricey- only for special occasions. We ate on the patio which was perfect. The Linguine Rustichella was superb and service was excellent!
First of all half the flowers in the vase on our table were dead….not a good first impression. The bread seemed tough and the butter was wayyy too salty. The salmon was excellent after I pulled off the burnt topping. Our waiter was helpful.
$17.00 Gin and Tonic! The drink menu said Gin was $12.00, they did not have Tanqueray Gin, but had Hendricks which is fine. When the bill came, they had charged me $17.00 each for two Gin & Tonics, $14.00 for the gin + $3.00 for the tonic. The manager made it right after I complained, but it really ruined the mood of the evening. The service was good, the food was good, but over priced, $14.00 for a side of potatoes for a $69.00 steak. The octopus was fantastic. The craft cocktails @$15.00 each my wife, daughter and son-in-law had were well made, looked and tasted excellent.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for the food and value is that it is somewhat overpriced... I would definately go back again.
Food is excellent but service were quite slow even though the restaurant was not busy.
The glass of Cabernet was perfect. The Celery Root purée soup wonderful. The wood fired salmon perfectly seasoned was crispy skinned and deliciously moist. A great meal to enjoy.
Overall very nice ambience and tasty food. No high hairs or booster seats made us feel a bit unwelcome for our Thanksgiving meal with our one year old.
Limited menu, service ok, nice ambience
Great place for a special evening out. Service and food were terrific. Great variety of wine and drinks, too.
The only negative is that they do not enforce their dress code. I don't appreciate speninding $$$$ on a meal while sitting next someone in ripped jeans and a t-shirt or dirty shorts and flip flops
your food was tasty but the portions are too small for the high prices you charge
I have been consistently disappointed with the menu and food preparation at Olive and Citrus. The ambiance is the main draw. The menu leans heavily toward meat, but there are pasta options for the vegetarians and one or two fish selections. My wife thought the salmon was not well prepared and compared it unfavorably to Caprice Cafe where we recently ate. My son had the Wagyu flank steak, 10 oz for $49 and thought my order of braised short ribs was better. They were good, and probably the single best item I've had there after 3 prior visits, but they weren't great. The vegetable sides were very good, but very small portions for $14. I keep going back because I want the local businesses to succeed, and it is showing signs of some improvement.
