The arancini were ok. If you like cheesy arancini there is nothing to complain. My brodetto de pesce was not good at all. It was not like the Bouillabaisse, the French fish stew enriched with saffron and tomatoes, or even the Cioppino, the modified Italian style fish stew that originated in the San Francisco North Shore. In those fish stew the broth was subtle so as not to overpower the delicate seafood. Here we have clams and shrimp and scallops drowned in a tomato soup (not a broth). I might as well get some seafood myself and dump that in a canned tomato soup. My partner's Pappardelle pasta with duck ragu was very good. Noise level was high so for me not worth the price we paid.

The restaurant itself felt cold not high end, the food was really really good! Wish the whipped ricotta was not goat cheese (personal preference). The service seemed really slow like we ordered something and the server walked away before we could continue ordering, it was odd. The arancini was the best we have had to date. And the espresso martini was top notch

The appetizers and pasta dishes we tried were delicious. However, I would caution anyone who orders the steak to ask for the cost prior to ordering. It just says market value on the menu, we didn’t think much of it and then were quite shocked when we got our bill. $185… for one piece of meat. It did not taste like $185.

We sat at the bar and enjoyed the entire experience from start to end. The dishes were perfectly paced. The aperol spritz and old fashioned, so tasty. Highly recommend the delicious steak tartare with truffle and rye crackers, whipped goat ricotta- heavenly and plated like two perfect clouds, and castelfranco salad with honey crisp apples and hazelnuts - Every bite was angelic. That's the only way I can truly describe that delicious salad. The all-female team behind the bar were wholesale, intelligent, grounded and had the right vibe. Refreshing. Our server was fantastic- I wish we caught her name. Ambiance is so clean and elevated. The Gnocchi is ricotta-based, not potato-based, and absolutely MELTS in your mouth, a masterpiece. Hard to find it that good in Italy, never mind Edmonton. We've already made our next reso. Can't wait to return and experience MIMI Bar as well. Daniel and team- what would we do without you? CRY. We would cry. Thank you for creating an exceptional dining experience to make memories in Edmonton.

If it's your first time going, you must try the ricotta. It is to die for. You can't go wrong with any of the pasta dishes either. Our waitress was extremely engaging as well!

We absolutely loved our dining experience at Olia! We booked our reservation a month in advance and it was well worth it. Our favourite dish was the TALEGGIO AGNOLOTTI, a close second was the CASTELFRANCO SALAD (shocking, I know — a salad!!). 10/10 experience all around. Couldn’t recommend it more.

My only negative was the potato crab raviolini, it tasted a bit fishy. I’d give it a “okay” at best but all other dishes Ive had there have been some of the best tasting food I’ve ever had. The whipped goat ricotta, and the beef tartare are incredible dishes and would return just for those. Highly recommend everyone to go for an incredible dinning experience.
