Good appetizers. Everything else was average.
First time here and the Fillet was impeccable.
They also have very good cocktails.
We had the duck wings and Brussel Sprouts for appetizers, and I had the chicken schnitzel. All were wonderful.
I have not been there since Covid started in March, we had a great time, the food was excellent and great staff.
Given the pandemic, Olea has a great setup that provided ambience in the parking lot with some indoor dining as well. We had a party of 5 and each one of us ordered a different dish and each dish was AMAZING. The brussel sprouts and pork belly was very delicious. My hats off to the chef and the service as our waiter was very attentive with a great personality. The service all around was 5 star!!! It can be a bit pricey with an average of $80pp with 5 entree's, 2 drinks each, raw oyster appetizer and tip, but well worth the price for us. You can look at their menu online to get an idea. We will be going back and highly recommended.
The food was delicious and well portioned. A little on the pricey side of things.
Great for a date night! Had a lead up three year anniversary with my babe here.
So good!! Best food and cocktails in OC. Atmosphere is upbeat and fun. Great servers.
Solid overall. Good food, good service.
ALWAYS THE BEST and the Crab Legs were superb‼️❣️ Love tou all and see u soon‼️❣️
Amazing food and amazing service! Loved everything about it.
This was our first time at Olea and we overall enjoyed our experience. The food was tasty and the ambiance was nice. Really delicious cocktails and wine as well. They also gave us free dessert for our anniversary. We will be back(:
Great food with great service
Food was fantastic! Music left a lot to be desired. Looking forward to indoor dining and not sitting in the parking lot after COVID-19. Would definitely return and recommend!
The food and service were amazing. We sat outside so the ambiance was good but not the best. Will definitely be coming back here!
We are regular customers and love love love this place ! Food is amazing , service is great snd the outdoor area is super nice and tables distanced from each other , we feel so safe . They are amazing .
Great time a little busy but still good!
Fantastic food! Outside popup dining is marginal, but it's Covid after all. Their actual patio is nice.
Get the duck wings, they form the menu around the drinks, everything is incredible
Great place super friendly staff! Loe the rib eye!
Wonderful artisan farm-to-table style beautifully appointed restaurant. We all loved it.
Covid-19 times are weird times for sure.... but our dinner at Olea was fantastic. The food, for starters , was absolutely out of this world. We've been before for a couple happy hours at the bar about a year ago, but it would seem their level of cuisine has frozen even further. Apps had its nearly lucking the plates, and our entreès were truly exceptional. I got the seabass which was perfect, and wife got the special - New England diver scallops - delicious!! But only complaint would be there was ONLY 3 scallops, a special entreè at that price range really felt like it should be 4 Scallops. Cocktails are playful, but wish they would carry at least ONE hazy IPA/New England IPA -- easy for a local like Offshoot beer to show in there with Relax (single hazy ipa) or Retreat (double hazy ipa) .... desert was over the top, a great finish to a spectacular meal. Only "physical" complaint is the tent where we were seated, could use some atmosphere -- maybe large plants/planters, some portable wood shelves, etc (that would match the interior/ exterior of main restaurant) or something to fill in the open void of separated tables
Not a great ambience, but it’s a world of covid. Food was good and service was good!
We ordered the scallop special. They were delicious! However, they were served with raw chopped broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, grains, soaked in vinegar, literally. Awful!!! And raw veggies? Yuck!
The scene was vibrant and the servers worked hard to take care of every table in a team effort. The special was Scallops that night and they were delicious. Love our neighborhood restaurant.
Very good food and nice atmosphere. We sat inside and it was a bit loud but the vibe was energetic. Everyone in our group of 6 remarked how good their food was. We will definitely go back.
We shared scrumptious grilled cauliflower & truffle fries appetizer. (Usually the truffle fries are drained & not greasy, but this time they were too greasy.) One of our favorite go-to’s: Chilean Sea Bass — grilled to perfection w/ seasonal vegetables & fingerling potatoes. Whomever was bar tending on Sat, 10/3/20 made THE best ‘Pinkies Out’ & ‘Rich Girl’ martinis. I wish they used true tall martini glasses vs stubby ones, though. Martinis taste better in classy tall & chilled martini glasses. We love Olea & are happy to have a 5-star nice restaurant in Eastside Costa Mesa/Newport Beach.
always great food and service! Outside areas are lovely.
Still one of the best restaurants in Newport Beach. Great value for your money and amazing food.
We get the food to go as well sometimes which is equally nice.
Be sure to try the fried green tomatoes. The short rib and lamb shank special were very good.
Amazingly yummy! The baked oysters is a must... the fried green tomatoes also a must... I had Black Cod; simply delicious!
I have eaten here on three occasions. It is a consistently flavorful meal. Good cocktails and ample wine list. I recommend it for any occasion.
Great place to enjoy good company and food. Loved the short-ribs.
Food was just ok.... but Diane was amazing. She went above and beyond
We had a pretty nice time at Olea last week. Our server was great. We are on the patio that had been formerly a parking lot. Tables were spaced out well. Our drinks were delicious but we had to order our first round from the waiting area... as our table wasn't ready at the time of our reservation. But, everything else was a delight except for the random folks at the adjacent tables... but their weird behavior wasn't Olea's fault. We had a ribeye steak and a lamb shake. Both were cooked well and then we had dessert! Everything tasted great. We definitely plan to come back someday.
Will definitely be back, Loved it!
Great food & atmosphere.. Service was fantastic!
We love the food. We’ve been several times outside and can’t wait to go again. The service last time was not so good. Long wait for server to take our drink order then dinner order and the fellow who brought that food sort of threw it at us. But we will be back.
I wasn’t impressed with the food
We were rather late to try this place out. We had appetizers which proved to be more than enough for each of us. The Fried Green Tomatoes, the Duck Wings and the cheese plate. There was no room for an entrée but next time, we will order that alone and maybe split that as we saw what others ordered and the portions were huge. Although those Duck Wings would be hard to pass up. The cocktails were outstanding, we had a hard trying to decide as they all sounded great. Its a good thing we asked the bartender (Mike) as he gave us the straight scoop on our choices and he was right each time.
They have a very nice, safe outdoor setting with some tent space. The menu is a little limited but the food is tasty and nicely presented. Service is very friendly.
