The ambiance in Olde Dominion is 100%. You completely forget you are in a shopping center, it feels like a hole in the wall, yet upscale tavern in a charming old town. The seating area to the left when you walk in is my personal favorite. The perfect spot for a cup of coffee and delicious weekend brunch!

We were running late but no problem with staff. Food was excellent. It was a little slow coming out but we enjoyed the relaxed pace. The drinks were very good. The waitress was spot on. Will definitely visit again.

The food at brunch was delicious. My steak and eggs were cooked perfectly. My other guests enjoyed their dishes as well. BUT WHO DOESN’T HAVE COFFEE DURING A BRUNCH??? You would think you’d have coffee available by the gallon.

When Olde Dominion first opened, the service was exceptional. Sadly, in the last six months or so, the service has gone significantly downhill. The servers are very nice but it is clear that they are understaffed as the service is so slow.

The only thing I did not like about this place was that I did not try it sooner. Both the food and the service was outstanding, went there for brunch but found myself wanting to try much more than I could in a single sitting, can't wait to go back!

We had a very nice time and an enjoyable meal. The service was good. The server checked in on us periodically and was attentive without being intrusive. The meals were good although slightly salty probably from the capers. We will definitely return. The bread pudding was my favorite.

Appetizers and main meal were pretty good; waitress was attentive and pleasant. However I think improving indoor and esp outdoor ambience, which is where we sat, would make it a more appealing dinner destination. Some soft lighting and more comfortable seating on the patio are some suggestions.

This was another attempt at giving them the benefit of the doubt. The overall service/ experience has declined since they opened. We arrived on time for our reservation,but it took 10 minutes to be seated. The hostess was inexperienced in the seating process and had to seek help in seating the family in front of us. Once we were seated, the hostess advised that she would have to bring us our menus once she could find them. All the menus had been misplaced. We had to ask our waitress for the menus after waiting 15 minutes. Now, we are seated at a small table next to the window at the front of the restaurant. The table is too small to handle a menu that requires shareable sides , plus appetizers and main course. The table base was not level and caused our plates and drinks to slide. The window ledges were filled with cobwebs, dirt and dust. Now mind you our table is pushed against the window front and our food would also be close to them as well. Very unsanitary and didn’t help with the wobbly undersized table. These small tables were the wrong choice. We ordered dinner( our waitress was great) and had the brown butter chicken and fried chicken with a side of Brussel sprouts. For appetizer we had the baked Brie. The appetizer and Brussel sprouts were delicious, but the brown butter chicken was over cooked and difficult to chew. Although, the butter sauce was delicious. The fried chicken was tender, but lacked the true crunch you would expect with fried chicken. The macaroni was bland and lacked salt across the board. This was a ton of feedback in one post, but it needed to be said. Especially after our last experience. We were there during lunch and seated outside. Once we were seated, we waited 30 minutes for a server to come to our table, and no one ever arrived. They appeared understaffed and disorganized. We did speak with the manager to let her know, before we walked out and went to Taco’s and Tequila. We want them to succeed, we truly do.

The food was delicious (pulled pork sandwich was the best I've had). However, we sat for 15 minutes before anyone even came to the table. Service was very very slow (they might be short-staffed), and the server, while very pleasant, must have been new. He had to be asked to remove the appetizer dishes well after our main meals were served, rarely checked to see if we needed more beverages, etc. The noise level in this restaurant (at least at brunch time on Sundays) is pretty unbearable. It was our second visit for brunch, and likely our last. Don't expect to hold a conversation at your table for the noise. So a very mixed review; delicious food, friendly, but very slow service. If you're young and have lots of time, and don't mind a very loud environment, this restaurant is for you.

Overall, experience was good. Food was very good - service was polite and friendly - however, painfully slow (even though restaurant had very few customers at the time). We will continue to visit the restaurant and hope that they figure out the consistency of the service.

We reserved our table for dinner on June 16. It was a party of four. We were on time and were seated promptly. We ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were average in flavor and presentation. The ladies of our party shared the stuffed flounder. The kitchen had split it along with the four pieces of asparagus - two pieces each - even if the flounder was served in one piece, it would have been a small portion, given my expectations and experience with stuffed flounder - especially for the for the price of this entrée. My friend ordered their fried chicken. He shared some with me. It was served hot. It wasn’t notable in flavor or presentation. I ordered the scallop entrée for $38. It was served with pasta. I received four scallops. Very disappointing for the price. The scallops were hot and flavorful; however, the accompanying pasta was too greasy and lukewarm. We ordered a bottle of wine. Our server, who was attentive and pleasant, struggled with opening the seal and uncorking it. She appreciated my assistance. This was not a big deal. I think they just need some more training in serving wine. Overall, we were not impressed with Olde Dominion. We would not recommend this restaurant, and we won’t be back.

Lemonade with no sugar, drinks brought out after dinner, no attention from waitstaff. Might be a good place to eat wings and drink canned beer but not a good place to bring guests to dinner. Price did not reflect the service.

What happened? We have eaten here multiple times, and this experience was a major fail. The drinks took forever, my husband went and got our own side plates, the server asked if we were done with our menu before we ordered entrees, no check back, check was wrong, I could go on. This was a major disappointment. I don't have anything positive to say about this experience. We wanted another drink but didn't want to wait 20 minutes, so we went somewhere else.

We were seated right away and I’m assuming because we were a large party with kids, were seated towards the back patio door with not a great viewpoint/ambiance. The table was marble and looked spotted and not well cleaned. Took a wile to get drinks once we sat down. The waitress knew we were short one water, but still took a while to bring drinks. A spilled drink that I notified her of was only cleaned up when it started to migrate to the table next to us, even though I asked for napkins to assist with the spill when it happened (she was still taking our orders at that point). We didn’t order an appetizer but the main entrees took a LONG time to come out, even though 5 of them were basic kids meals and the other meals were sandwiches. I felt like tables around us that were seated after us got food faster than we did-not sure why. My sandwich was very good, but the ‘truffle fries’ served with it looked reheated and burnt, many of them in bits and pieces. Overall experience was just alright-would maybe try to dine in again. I felt like I had a better experience at the wine event I attended than when dining in.

Young server was obviously new to the job. Very nice and personable but needs training. Manager was very receptive to some constructive input. Food was very good albeit a bit pricey considering the location and overall ambiance (more sports bar than fine dining). Overall a nice evening and we'd consider going back again.

The staff was very attentive and we had a great waitress. I ordered the salmon cooked mid rare. Usually when I order it comes out cooked way too much. Here, It was pink and juicy. The carrot and potato swirls were pure flavor. First class salmon. My husband had the crab cake sandwich and it was huge and wonderful. We will be back.

The food was good, but not worth the price. One person at the table ordered the lamb shank, and it came out cold-The waiter was terrible. Made lots of mistakes, and just had a bad attitude. We asked for a table for five, and they jammed us into a table for four -it was a Tuesday night. It wasn’t like the restaurant was busy or full.

Stopped in late night to grab a bite. This location has changed hands a couple of times, and this new venture seems to be quite promising. We only had the spicy burger, the French onion soup, a couple, beers and glasses of wine. Food was outstanding, service was excellent, we will be back. I think you should give it a try.
