Brunch was great and staff very friendly.
Food was excellent. Suggest serve lemon wedges with the trout dish. Seems that they’ve finally got their wine act together. For once every on the bottle was in fact available. But their decision to eliminate wine by the glass is unacceptable. The alternative is half bottles. What if you want 2 different glasses of wine? Get serious and bring back wine by the glass. And corona virus is no excuse.
Overall the atmosphere was comfortable and the food excellent However, The table was small for two. I ordered a veggie to replace mashed potatoes but that did not happen. I guess the chef wanted me to taste his mashed potatoes!
Lovely meal with our daughter & her boyfriend! First time there, our waitress - Kyla - was perfect! Food was delicious, from appetizers to dessert! Great cocktail too. After dinner we enjoyed a jazz duet in the attic. I will definitely return.
It was amazing. Everything, the food, the service, all of it. If you go, please request Dwany. He was absolutely wonderful and gave great recommendations. I took my best friend for a celebration lunch and it was divine. Definitely coming back.
We decided to try something local while we were visiting from south Mississippi and this place did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly, the food was great, and the overall environment was relaxing yet eloquent! We’ll be back next time we visit ATL!
We found the restaurant to be very old and dated. It had a somewhat musty smell inside and some very obvious wear and tear. The service was average, as sometimes the staff seemed somewhat disheveled. The redeeming quality was definitely the food. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, and we enjoyed the short rib entree a lot. They offer a delivery option through Door Dash, and I would recommend that option for most people.
Excellent service and food!! Love the quaint atmosphere in the upstairs bar. Especially great to see/hear the great live music duo of Judy Browne and Mike Orlin! We’ll be back!!!
We were a fan until last night. No longer sell wine by the glass! Only available in bottle or half bottle? Then the Wagyu steak (which was on the menu) was not available. So the NY strip was $7 more! To their credit, they did only charge for the price of the Wagyu only after I asked for the manager. To top it off…..it took over an hour to get our food, and it wasn’t that busy.
We have probably eaten there at least a dozen times in past year. Probably will be awhile now!
We had a group of 5 meet for lunch. The service was quick, helpful and friendly. We had Dwany as our server and he was great. Food was tasty, menu had good options and perfect portion size for lunch. We felt safe as it was spaced out effectively.
It is a great place to take a date. The minute you walk in you feel relaxed. Our dinners were delicious. Our server was delightful. Will return.
The food was wonderful!!! Service was great - and atmosphere very nice. I highland recommend it.
Dwany is the best server ever. Very informative on the menu and a very attentive server…. Top notch. We came to old vinnings inn more then a couple of times. Food is always delicious
Celebrated my 64 th birthday with my wife and two sons. Great food, excellent service, overall wonderful brunch experience.
Great food. Great service. Bartender was great as usual. Live music was really good as well.
Great lunch and service. We appreciated the server gave us time to talk business but didn’t slow service.
The Old Vinings Inn is an Atlanta institution. It was a busy lunch and for good reason - great food and professional service.
Great food and service. We were a table of 7 people and we sat on the porch. It was a bit hot (Atlanta in July!), and we asked if we could move inside and they moved us to our own private room.
Enjoyed sitting outside. Overall a good experience.
The “Brunch” was excellent with good variety of choices. Our selections were delicious with great presentation! Our server was friendly and attentive! Overall it was a great experience!
Really great food. We started with the charcuterie board, and really enjoyed the spinach dip, pimento cheese, and assorted other cheeses and meats. My wife loved her beets salad. Happy had the black one salmon which was great, and my wife loved her trout.
Excellent service. Delicious pecan crusted trout with vegetables.
Wonderful! It was a great experience! Highly recommend!
We really enjoy Old Vinings Inn and appreciate their attention to detail!
We arrived early for our reservation and it was pleasantly peaceful. Our waitress was very polite and knew the menu well. I would definitely recommend this little gem.
Great meal and prompt service
It was a little loud but otherwise a wonderful experience
Just had brunch at Old Vinings Inn today. It was our first time eating there, and everyone and everything was just perfect. Special kudos to the host Abi who checked on us more than once, and our server Fred, who was extremely polite and friendly, very helpful with recommendations, and on-time with service. The food was really excellent. One of us at the table is a very picky eater, but she ate two pieces of candied bacon and the entire plate of banana bread french toast. The country breakfast was great with a delicious biscuit, the shrimp and grits were cooked perfectly as was the poached egg on top, and the farmhouse burger was delicious. We can't wait to go back again to try other dishes.
My husband and I had a good experience at Old Vinings Inn last evening. We sat on the patio which was wonderful. Tables are spaced out. Temperature was great. We had a nice Pinot Grigio along with my Atlantic Salmon and my husband’s Shrimp and Grits. The dishes were flavored perfectly. The temperature was a bit off due to a few large parties they had in house. The hostess and server acknowledged and were appreciative of the feedback. We enjoyed our experience and will be back.
Food was under cook in some things and a little over cooked in other foods. Service was pleasant but very slow.
The staff is always professional and pleasant. The food is perfectly prepared and the ambience is friendly and calm. It makes for a delightful experience.
We so enjoyed our porch setting quiet enough to have conversation. Service was timely and food for four came out altogether on hot plates ready to enjoy. Excellent!
We had an excellent dining experience. I highly recommend the fried chicken, especially if you’ve never dined at the Inn before.
Had a lovely lunch in the Bear Room. Fantastic service from Khyla!
It's been a long time since I visited The Old Vinings Inn. The chicken I ordered was very tough and didn't seem fully cooked. My friend's Caesar salad appeared to have way too much dressing. I noticed that she only ate around the edges. Our server was terrific (Fred). None of us complained about our food but hope someone takes note of my message.
Consistently great food and service. This is a great go to for all things southern cuisine. Make sure to try the fried green tomatoes!
We had a good time!
The fried chicken and grits were excellent! As we’re the shrimp and grits! The service was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend eating here!
