Old Street is a modern neighbourhood restaurant situated in the heart of historic Malahide, County Dublin. Local couple Mark and Adriana Fitzpatrick have lovingly restored two of the oldest buildings in the village to offer a comfortable and casual dining experience, along with a contemporary cocktail selection and award-winning wine list. Old Street's Head Chef, Mario Simic, creates dishes of modern Irish food that combine robust flavours and the warmth and generosity of traditional comfort food. The menus are designed to showcase the best of the season from Irish farmers, fishermen, and producers. Old Street is dedicated to providing guests of all ages with a memorable dining experience; featuring house-made charcuterie and Higgins Master Butchers' dry-aged beef.

    We were a part of six and had the early bird menu, the food was beautiful and very well presented with decent portions. We had several bottles of very nice Spanish white wine which was nicely chilled (a lot of restaurants can’t get this simple thing right )Our server was very attentive, the surroundings are beautiful. We will definitely return, highly recommend

    We had a lovely experience at Old Street.We ate from the early bird menu which had quite an array of choices.The pea risotto was superb and the fish and chips was one of best I have ever had.On Wednesdays wines were half price which made the meal even more enjoyable. The service was excellent and the rest has a really lively vibe.We will definitely return.

    Delicious Sunday lunch with the group have the charcuterie board to start followed by the roast beef. The charcuterie board was laden with delicious home smoked meats, and a cheese fondue with garlic bread slices. 2 boards for 3 people were more than enough for a starter. The roast beef was tasty, the chef found a pinker slices for those that requested them, there was Yorkshire puds, roast potatoes, veg and lashings of gravy. Again portion sizes were generous. The veg was al dente, not mushy, the potatoes crispy and the pud was light and fluffy (until drowned in gravy). We sadly couldn't find space for desert, but the tasty mocktails to start made up for that. The service was excellent with knowledgeable and helpful staff who explained about the home smoking and provenance of the meats. The restaurant was nicely decorated and well laid out with space between the tables, quiet, the air con was on (which was great for the hot day!) but could be adjusted if we were too cold. Overall, a lovely lunch, at a very reasonable price, highly recommended and we are planning to return for dinner at some point.

    I went here for my birthday dinner and it was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious – every dish was cooked perfectly, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The service was excellent too; the staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect for our celebration. They even surprised me with a birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.

    Looking for somewhere new & exciting you must try Old Street Malahide, food , service terrific staff very friendly and atmosphere busy but now over overpowering ...really enjoyable once again
