Here's the tea., let's start with the good ...the chicken and waffles are on point , the portion is large enough to share . The Poutine was not a hit the fries were rubbery the gravey was chunky. The beer was not cold . The atmosphere is energetic and our server was pleasant and organized.
Host on the phone was rude. Waiter had a poor crummy attitude. We had to ask for the waiter to take our order after 20 minutes of waiting at 345 (not busy at all!) food was ok, but spending money at a restaurant during covid should be enjoyable. Never going back, tried this place twice.
Great spot loved the mac and cheese and burger
Easy brunch option with a great patio, tasty food and friendly service.
Any restaurant working during COVID deserves 5 stars. Old school is great. You want good brunch, they serve great brunch. Lots of options, food was hot, server was attentive, finished in a timely fashion. What more could you want?
Sunday menu is very limited. Just finger food and no choice
We had a great experience! The food was good and the vibe was amazing. Would definitely come again
The pancakes were amazing!
The pancakes were unreal 😍
The wait to get our food served was approximately 40 mins. It definitely was busy when we went. I just wish they gave our nachos first.
Great service and great food. Portions and big and very tasty. Staff is very friendly especially John.
We had a great time! The patio is excellent and the service was good! Food was fine - not spectacular, but we still enjoyed!
Went for lunch. I think it’s a better breakfast place. Our platter was average.
Great find! Attentive staff and the restaurant follows all protocols. Felt very safe!
Chicken was dry and overcooked.
I tried the Blueberry pancakes and soo tasty! Definitely would come back!
Service was slow but it was because they were short staffed. Our waitress was great nonetheless!
had such a nice and funny waitress who served me and my two friends, chatting with her made our brunch more enjoyable! food was great as well - love the Mac and Cheese!
Food was great
Loved the atmosphere and amazing staff! I had the French toast which was amazing and my friend had Mac and cheese which he said was really good too!
Amazing as always!!
Food was quite greas and bland. I expected better from this popular place.
Very good food just could have been a bit warmer. Foods taste was over all amazing I would definitely go back!!
brunch with the girls
The patio is really pretty! Get the sangria - it's really good
All three of us got sick after eating at old school.
Amazing service, food, and energy.
I made reservations a week ahead and server kept me waiting additional 30 minutes in line in 30 degree weather.
Make sure to make a reservation! Great service, nice food, excellent spot!
Food was amazing and the service was great
Amazing service! Amazing food! And an amazing experience at this patio over all! I will definitely be back!
Good food and service. Worth a visit for sure if you’re in the city. Would definitely go back
Gorgeous place with comfort food, and a trendy atmosphere.
The food was great, the tall server with the ginger hair was very polite. When we raised a concern (we do not eat pork in our diet) with the pancakes having bacon on it, we were rudely interrogated with what was said on the menu, from my memory it was listed as fluffy buttermilk pancakes with blueberries, however when we went to double check the menu, to see if bacon was actually listed the menu had closed, fair thats fine. It was HOW the situation was handled by the other gentleman, he was bald, and his tone for customer service was all the way wrong. When a customer complains an apology should come first, we received nothing but aggressive tones and offensive questions like “oh you cant just scrape it off? no? are you sure?” if it wasnt an issue we wouldve scraped it off, the whole reason why we brought it up because scraping it off doesnt cut it once the pork has touched the pancakes. He was huffing and puffing as how stupid it was that it wasnt listed on the menu, asked to see my friends phone, and kept assuring us that he believed us and wasnt doubting us, but his tone and demeanour said otherwise. Then he proceeded to say the kitchen is closed, went to double check, said they would make another batch itll take some time. To be completely honest the whole “cant you just scrape it off” comment, feeling pressured to not bother the servers because clearly from his tone we were inconveniencing him (again the ginger server was lovely, im speaking about the bald one) made me lose trust that a new batch was being made. So my friend went up to the bald server asked for the check, he then insisted the pancakes are being made but she politely asked to cancel and get the check. It took forever, as in we did not hear or see back from the bald server for what felt like 10min or so, so then we asked the polite ginger and instantly he brought the check. I would encourage some roleplay activities for that individual because they need a refresher on how to talk to customers.
Even though we made reservation before, we had been waiting for 40 minutes to be seated. The service and food are good. Benny & the jets is recommended.
Favourite brunch in Toronto! Great food -- savoury and sweet -- and consistently strong service.
I had a great time with my friends. The food was incredible and i can’t wait to go back!!
Over hyped bar food. I would go there if I was looking for drinks.
Service was great, our server was amazing. We went to Old School in hopes of maybe eating to Old School music, but there was no music at all. Food was good, nothing to rave about. Otherwise, good overall.
