   You all did a fantastic job working with my girlfriend to set up a really special night for us. Thank you especially to your manager who brought us a wonderful bottle of champagne to celebrate our engagement. Thank you!

   I chose Old Port Sea Grill based on Trip Advisor Reviews. We were not disappointed by our delicious lobster dinner. Cosmos were a great addition. I would definitely recommend that restaurant.

   Nice., light airy place for a pleasant lunch with a friend. Relatively quiet... and therefore easy to hear yourself think.. unlike many similar nice places!

   Old Port Sea Grill was recommended to us, so we gave it a try. The online menu was different than the actual menu, which was unfortunate, and we didn't realize our mistake until after we received our food. We told our waitress, and her response was that the online menu might not be the same. Still, we could have flexed but the dish was really not good at all. It was the Lobster Pasta. The sauce was very strong and overtook the flavor of the lobster completely. Besides that, there was meant to be a specific amount of lobster in this dish, which was not the case. That said, the steak was good.

   The only difference in the dish is that we have started using orecchiette instead of linguine. We note on our website that the online menu is a sample due to frequent menu changes. Every dish is served with the meat from an entire 1 1/4 lb lobster - utilizing all the claw, knuckle, and tail meat. I assure you that you received the same amount of lobster that we advertise. I do apologize that it was not to your liking, and I will speak to your server about bringing these matters to my attention.

   Food and service were fantastic, but the noise level was unbearably loud for my eldery in-laws. (On the plus side, I couldn’t hear them either.)

   It can get pretty lively in here on busy nights. We are at the mercy of the space and other guests when it comes to accoustics. But you will be happy to hear that we recently had a sound engineer evaluate the space and are in the process of constructing sound baffling, which should help a bit. I hope you will notice the improvement upon your next visit.

    A friend and I made a reservation for that evening. I arrived earlier than my friend and was greeted by the blonde hostess. I told her that my reservation, under Perkins, was for 6 p.m. and that I was about 15 minutes early. Instead of making me wait, she gave me a choice of tables, (nice) and asked who I was waiting for. I told her a woman, and she said, "shouldn't be a problem, I'll look for a woman alone". I saw a few people getting seated, got my beverage, perused the menu. I was seated facing the side of the restaurant and saw my friend walking down the hill, and figured she'd be inside soon enough. The waitress approached me and I said, "oh i just saw her, she'll be here any minute" and the waitress informed me she had left and was now on the sidewalk. I went around the fish tank opened the front door and called her name, she had been texting me. I escorted her in, and this is where it gets freaky. Apparently she walked in while the hostess and the manager were at the front desk. And they couldn't find the reservation. The manager said something to the effect, "well it's Saturday night, we're fully booked, we can't just let you in without a reservation.....blah, blah, blah. My friend said, yes, we did have a reservation, and he really shouldn't lecture her, and he said he wasn't lecturing her. And she said, "Well yeah, you kinda are." And it went downhill from there. The hostess kept looking straight down, not engaging. There were no other groups coming in behind her. He kept calling her ma'am, she said don't call me ma'am and then he was opening the door, escorting her out. It was at that point that I was told something was going on by the waitress, and went out and got her. How, in the span of TEN MINUTES did the hostess forget she was looking for a single woman? Why didn't the manager say, go in and look around, see if your party is here? You think you're the only restaurant in Portland? Ha! Weird.
