   Food was superb with beautiful presentation. Chef does an incredible job! The halibut, tenderloin medallions and lump crab cakes were cooked t perfection. Chloe was extremely professional and so friendly. We look forward to a return visit!

   My wife and I dined at Old North State last year. It was a memorable experience then and last night was no exception. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A very unique presentation of flavor that will bring us back soon. The service was excellent. Keep up the good work. See you all soon.

   This was my second time at Old North State Winery. It’s spacious and beautiful. Our server was very personable and attentive. The food was great. Everyone in our party was pleased and would return again. They also have a nice wine selection and live music at times. Highly recommend!

   I haven't been to Old North State Winery in a while so I took a drive to Mt. Airy. I noticed several upgrades since I was last there, more tables and a Chef's table for special dinners. I was able to have a tasting and lunch at the bar. I had the fish of the day, tile, with collards and polenta. Yummy. I enjoyed the wine tasting too. I had strawberry shortcake cheesecake for dessert, very decadent. The servers were personable and knowledgeable. I had a very nice time there and will be back.

   We had a lovely mid-week lunch at ONSW. The salmon salad was fabulous, and my husband really enjoyed the jambalaya special. The service at ONSW is always so friendly and professional.

    This restaurant is perfect for date night. The wine list was extensive and we did a wine flight along with our dinner. I had the crab cakes and they were perfect all crab meat no fillers. Very moist, succulent, and sweet.

    Surprised by the number of seafood items. Salmon salad was very good. Spouse was ok with lamb kabobs. I would definitely come back here.

    The food was absolutely fantastic and so was the service! The steak was delicious, the botanist bitters cocktail was amazing with fresh sprig of rosemary in it, and the chocolate ganache tort was incredible ( my wife said...I didn't even try a bite because she was enjoying it so much!) I highly recommend dining here, it is more than worth the cost.

    Our server was great! We normally go to JoLo but wanted to try something different big mistake. The wings were delicious but my steak literally has no flavor no seasoning at all. I was sad because it looked great but looks can be deceiving! My husband got the mahi his too was flavorless. The manger seemed upset that we didn’t want to try anything else. We just didn’t want to waste our time and there’s. I brought a bottle of fish hope the wine again couldn’t compare to JoLo wine so we won’t be back.

    The food was great quality even in comparison to many of the places I have eaten in Chicago, Charlotte, D.C. but we waited about an hour and 20 minutes from the time we ordered until our food was served. No explanation was provided (new kitchen staff, extra time needed to prepare order). Some of our food may have been sitting a while because it was cold when served. Alough the food was good I would not go back due to the lack of care or acklowlegldgement for how long we waited. There was a table of 2 behind our table of 4 that was seated after us and left before our food came. If we had been told there would be a long wait for our food we could have ordered more than the 1 appetizer the 4 of us shared. This restaurant does not provide bread or anything to eat while waiting.

    We totally enjoyed our lunch. The fried oyster salad and salmon salad were delicious, very beautifully prepared and presented. And our server was delightful. Music was also good, added a nice touch to the ambiance but could have been a tad softer to allow easier conversation, but all in all it was an outstanding lunch and welcome addition to Mt. Airy! Well done!

    I received cold food and didn’t complain at first. Had lobster ravioli and bit down on the ravioli to kill a filling with a piece of shell from the lobster. I told the server and she did absolutely nothing about it. I asked her to please tell the chef for fear it might happen to others. She said she would. No apology from Chef or Manager at all. The wine was not very good but that’s always hit or miss so I didn’t care about that especially since the wine wasn’t pricey. It’s a shame that they didn’t care and the place was not at all busy, which is understandable.

    Always a come back favorite, great food, service and wine choices. Desserts are awesome also. Location is great with lots of parking nearby. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

    This place is fantastic! We found this restaurant when looking for one between us in Charlotte, SC and our friends in Blue Ridge, VA. It was the perfect place to meet. The ambience is very very nice - spacious but quaint at the same time. The people were very friendly, and the food was great (the only reason I only gave 4 stars for the food is that our friend's burger came out well done when he had asked for medium rare). We enjoyed our lunch so much that the four of us have decided to make it a monthly get-together. I highly recommend Old North State Winery (and I also recommend taking a small tour of "Mayberry" if you've never seen it - you will love it if you loved the Andy Griffith show like I did).

    We really enjoyed our meal at Old North State Winery. It was a lovely place to spend our 28th anniversary. The tuna and fried green tomatoes were excellent appetizers, and the spinach salads were so much better than we expected. The creme brulee cheesecake was the piece de resistance!! We look forward to returning!

    We love Old North State, food and service always good. Convenient location with public parking close by. We always make a reservation when going to Mount Airy to eat here. You can also eat outside on their deck if you prefer.

    Steak was tough, Manager gave us a free dessert for that! Cosmopolitan was awful! Was given a menu and not all items were on that menu, so we were overcharged and had to have the Server remove the wrong amount. Very disappointed!

    Hope was our waitress, she did a great job!! The courses were tasty thru desert. It was a bit chilly in the room with an occasional cold blast even though we were in the back. Overall a great night with my wife for Valentines day!! We will be back!

    Well where would I start we didn’t realize that you didn’t have the Regular menu as we have eaten here before while in Town. As someone who has had gastric bypass can not eat a lot of food. And digest certain ways foods are cooked. But I feel We should have been warned that the menu wasn’t the normal menu. But we stay anyway and eat dinner since I did reserve a table. The soup was ok . But the asparagus and the potato winter black truffle were hard and was like it had not been cooked. The tart of lobster was misleading as when ordering it I asked the waitress was it lobster tail and she replied yes. The Angus beef tenderloin was supposed to be pink inside not with blood still coming out . Was very disappointed but pretty much a waste of my money and time. As I believe you should had made things clear that the only thing served for the evening was on the pre planned menu before you get to a table that you reserved. I have been pleased in the past with your normal menu . I had actually had booked tonight and tomorrow evening dine in with the restaurant. But canceled tomorrow evening reservations as the same pre planned menu you are serving. No Thank you..
