Old Lady Gang
The wait time for food was extremely long BUT the food was off the charts. The food was very good! Big portions and fresh. Wasn’t expecting food to be that good.
Food was good but not overwhelmingly delicious. I found some of the vegetables to be a little under seasoned, however the fried chicken was pretty good. Annoyed that they charge $10 for parking in a small lot.
Made reservations for my mothers birthday and didn't even get to eat. Drove a hour and a half for nothing.
Wonderful food and good atmosphere. Will return.
The food was wonderful. Customer service was great and the atmosphere was great. We will be back again the next time we visit Atlanta thank you so much
Great food and awesome service! And the Stubborn Mule is EVERYTHING! Will definitely go again when I'm in Atlanta!
The experience at Old Lady Gang was good from beginning to end. We first walked in to the hostess where we greeted with a smiling face. An employee whom was ending there day recommended we go downstairs to eat and enjoy music and that was where the party started. The manager and hostess ensured we were sat quickly and our server was there to greet us and take our drink orders. The music was a little loud but the server asked that it be turned down a bit and that was perfect. The food was amazing I ordered the fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits. The rest of the table ordered salmon dinners and fish and grits. We all definitely enjoyed our meals. I’ll definitely be back again and will recommend to friends and family visiting from out of town.
Awesome server, fabulous food. Comfort and decor could be improved but the food and service are already perfection.
But ur staff needs do a lil better on checking back at the tables making sure the out of town guest doesn't need anything plus food was good but the server took a long time bringing food out but I was hoping I saw Kandy or her peps or Todd ok I will be back coming from the Stl
Food was great, took a bit long for our order but it was delicious and the drinks were on point too!
Food was delicious, atmosphere was great! Will be returning soon!!
After waiting a long time to get food my food the mac and cheese wasn't hot the greens were cold the cornbread was hard and the chicken wasn't even freshly cooked I was very disappointed the only thing that didn't make the experience bad was the service was great
They only thing good that we tried was the deviled eggs. They were vet unique. Otherwise, the Mac and cheese and too thick and dry . The fried chicken was average typical chicken. Over priced and nothing special about it. Not even really seasoned, could make it at home. I had the salmon which was actually good, moist and flavored. I’d recommend that along with the deviled eggs. My mom had the catfish and grits which was good also. The spare ribs appetizer were salty and wouldn’t recommend those. I think the restaurant is overhyped.
I would definitely recommend this eatery to friends.
This was my first time to Atlanta and this restaurant. My friends and I had a great time. We had the Best Fried Chicken with Collard greens, Sweet potato soufflé, and mac and cheese. Just delicious!
It was amazing
Our waiter Nhandi was so sweet! She told us about the menu and recommended some great options. Food came out fast and everything was delicious! Definitely can’t wait to come back. I loved the honey glazed salmon, Mac and cheese, greens and yams!!
Yes for the food! The salmon was good and the mac was amazing. The portion sizes could be better but the food was really delicious. NO for the service! We were there for 1.5hrs before we even got our food. Waitress was very nonchalant about our concerns which added fuel to the fire. When asked about the food, she said there was a 45min wait. We were livid considering she made us wait at least 30mins just to take our order due to her "trying to get rid of customers from another table first". It was very unprofessional and showed her lack of multitasking skills.
The camp creek location might be better but I did not like the downtown one. The hostesses were not welcoming nor did they speak. We had a reservation at 6 and she told us to wait when we arrived. There were plenty of open tables for 2 people downstairs and in front of us. After waiting 25 minutes I went and asked another hostess how long was the wait because we reserved. She picked up menus, said follow her and placed us at a table that had been empty the whole time. If I wouldn't have asked we would still be waiting. Why didnt the first hostess seat us. The table we were placed was extremely cramped ( elbow to elbow)for my long legs and I couldn't hardly sit comfortably, I get Charlie horse cramps quick. I asked our nice waitress if I could move to one of the other empty tables with more leg room or downstairs at one of the empty stool tables, she came back and said the hostess said no....?????? I've never been to a restaurant where we couldn't move to another table. I was cramped. I couldn't enjoy myself. I would've left but it was my daughter's birthday and she wanted to try the food. I'm very easy breezy but I believe in great customer service because word of mouth grows your business.
1. The seating arrangement upstairs is to tight/close for two people. I asked if we could change our seat to another two table seating with more space.
2. I was told the other seat was reserved. The waitresses had tables up and downstairs which cause a problem with service. It was difficult for her work up and downstairs.
3. The grill wing wasn’t completely done.
4. The crab cakes was AWESOME.
The restaurant didn’t meet my expectations....My daughter attends Spelman and we will look for another restaurant to have lunch or dinner when I visit.
Thanks for asking...
This was a great place to eat. Very tasteful and gresr prices. Food took a lil long coming out but that’s fine.
The service could have been a lot better, our waitress barely serviced us we kept asking for refills with drinks or green beans she never brought them we were looking for her but we saw her going to other tables but our, I really wanted devil eggs which they ran out my chicken was I feel over cooked it was fried to hard but the atmosphere was really nice I love seeing the pictures on the wall and the whole vibe but the waitress just killed the whole vibe
They were out of fried deviled eggs at noon. It took 80 minutes to get our food. The Diet Coke didn’t work downstairs. The male servers nails were very long and gross. They have fake ivy in the room we sat in downstairs, no ambience Longest I’ve ever waited for food. Very disappointed
Music and vibe in the restaurant were great. The waitress was fun and friendly. Drinks and food were outstanding.
I love Kandi and I came here super excited to try the food. I got the french toast and chicken which was delicious, but this restaurant has extremely poor service. The hostess was rude and unprofessional and so was our waitress.
The food was awesome and the waitress was really nice overall I had a great time and can’t wait to go again!
I loved the deep fried devil eggs. First time having them.
Food was outstanding!!!
So this restaurant didn’t really live up to its hype! Food was mediocre at best and the ambiance left more to be desired. I order the crab cakes with mango salsa which came in a plastic dish. Not bad if your a fast food joint but I would expect better presentation, after all its Kandis restaurant! The flavor was ok but they’re definitely were not homemade. The fried green tomatoes had a bbq sauce which tasted more like curry than bbq.. the drinks were very good and my hats off to the bartender.. I would say if you want to go to say you have gone, go. However if your looking for a culinary experience skip it.
Food was good. Aunt Nora was vert friendly and sweet.
The seating area was kind of cool in temperature for my liking and the waitress made an unacceptable comment about accepting change (coins) for the payment of the bill.
I was so disappointed with the food. My daughter’s shrimp and grits were undercooked and no flavor to it. She ate two bites and was done. My mom and I ordered the chicken plates with Mac and cheese and collards with cornbread. The cornbread had no flavor, the mac was so dry, and the collards were so stalky you couldn’t enjoy the greens. I ordered a sweet potato soufflé, and it was so stringy and over seasoned with nutmeg. The server didn’t offer to rake my daughter’s food off the check, seeing that she didn’t eat it and it wasn’t edible. Very disappointing. Will never recommend to anyone back home in DC. There was a shady guy taking payments for parking. Nothing said he worked for the establishment. We were a bit nervous when driving to the parking lot.
We really enjoyed our experience. Aunt Nora was very sweet, and Julia (our server), and Corrina were friendly, and efficient.
Aunt Bertha’s Fried Chicken was delicious, and the Sneaky Georgia Peach cocktail was perfection—light, refreshing, and very yummy. Kandi’s Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding was also very good.
We had gone on a Monday night, with a reservation, and were seated immediately. But, we’re told we were lucky because it’s usually very crowded, with a wait.
Would definitely return for more of Aunt Bertha’s Fried Chicken!
The chicken and French toast was delicious, as was the shrimp and grits. Very much enjoyed the sweet potato soufflé and loaded smashed potatoes. The peach bread pudding did not disappoint at all. We did not have any celebrity sightings. We went to the location on Peters Street and it was a little smaller than I expected. Nice vibe to it. Somebody is there to guide you behind the building to park for five dollars. Look on the street first.
Waiter was very nice, food was great and the it did not take long to receive our meal.
An employee, (I’m assuming maybe a manager) was ordering product via phone in the dining area. He was rather loud and kind of annoying. Also, a couple of employees were going outside ( I was sitting in the lower level) and kept leaving the door open, as it was cold outside. I traveled from Texas for my birthday, overall I enjoyed the food & my server, Raven was THE BOMB!
We had a reservation so we didn’t have to wait that long to be seated. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we were accommodated. The food took a little while to come out because the restaurant was busy but our waitress did check in and let us know. When the food was brought to our table it was hot and delicious!
Cool menu. Great food. Music selections were on point!
I went on January 3,2020 for my birthday and when I tell you I lived the atmosphere omg. The music was on point and the service was excellent, got to meet her aunt who was so pleasant and wished me happy birthday. There was no extras for you Birthday like songs or free dessert but the overall experience was amazing. I really enjoyed it
