Old Lady Gang
We never made it to the restaurant. I received a notification stating they were closed for renovations. I tried calling but was able to reach anyone. I came all the way from Alabama and did want to waste a blanket trip to the venue if they were not open.
Very disappointed with Open Table. Old lady gang is closed for remodeling. We had our afternoon planned around our reservation and you messed that up
I made a reservation through Open Table at the current address listed two weeks ago (a week prior to my trip). Got there and OLG was closed with a sign in the door stating it was in another location, another 15 minutes away. My boyfriend calls to let them know and they say the table isn’t ready, and we still have time. We get there and they say they do not honor reservations at the location and they were packed and 3 hrs behind. They treated us as if they didn’t care and that WE, the guests, should have known better. We left. TERRIBLE way to treat customers. There was nothing on the site to suggest the one location was closed. Nor was there a message to let customers know. I took my money elsewhere. I wished I could have given one star.
For one... the location was not even open. We used to Uber get across town & had to stand in the cold once we arrived. Many people made reservations & had to go turn around as well. I booked & was not updated about the closing of the restaurant. Highly upset & would not recommend to anyone!
My friend and I sat at the bar and had two great bartenders, even though we didn't order liquor. I ordered Aunt Bertha's fried chicken with mac and cheese and greens, she ordered the blackened salmon with the same sides. I was NOT expecting the food to be so amazing! My chicken was juicy, hot, seasoned inside and out (breading) and they gave me plenty- great sized breast and two large wings. The greens didn't even need hot sauce and the mac and cheese was yummy. I had a taste of my friend's salmon and it was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ambiance was so nice. They played good music that wasn't explicit, so its a place I wouldn't mind taking my aunts, mom, or kids. The next time I visit the A, I WILL make it my business to be back.
Old Lady Gang was closed for renovation and failed to update their address on open table. We drove there just to find signs on the door. We drove 5-6 hours.
I made a reservation a month ago. The day before my scheduled reservation I received a phone call that the restaurant was under renovation. (Completely understand) I asked the hostess if I could be accommodated with another reservation at another location. She responded "no" and proceeded to tell me that if I wanted to go to another location there would more than likely be a 2-3 hour wait and I could not make a reservation. Overall I am sure the restaurant is great, but the customer service side needs some improvement. Maybe one day I'll get to experience the OLG, but for this trip it was not possible.
Not what expected. The food should have been hotter coming out of the kitchen. We had to ask for plates, silverware and napkins. The server wasn't attentive at all or accommodating, never came to check to see if we needed anything else or even to top off our water. We made reservations 1 month ago and we found out the day of the reservation that the restaurant on Peter's was closed and we needed to go to the Camp Creek location. We should have been notified long before we were scheduled to come that changes were being made.
Never got a chance to go. They canceled my reservation the day of. Called the other locate set reservation and they didn’t do reservation. The wait time was 2 hrs.
Food was average, it was like Sunday dinner at home. Not much catering to a vegan/vegetarian. My only issue with the whole experience was the fact that I was not notified that my reservations was cancelled due to renovations. My group and I were in town for a women's conference and at the last minute we had to find another location, the manager was nice enough to seat us due to the inconvenience from previous reservations. I would try it one more time to see if there's a different outcome.
The dining was a little crowded and the menu was very limited maybe due to the location or something. I would try another location as I've heard so many great things about the experience.
The manger was VERY rude !!!! When trying to find the restaurant our reservations was for couldn’t find the restaurant so had to go all the way to the one in east point .When arrived to the restaurant manger was very rude and unprofessional on how he was talking to me!! Service could have been better waited 20-25 minutes just for our drinks to come !! Food was cold and yams was freezing cold !! Music playlist was amazing!!!! Surprise the restaurant doesn’t have to go cups. The sitting was very close .
The location was closed for renovations although we had a reservation through open table. We went to their other location which took forever to get someone to serve us and over an hour for our food. We had to go fly out so we ended up taking out food to go.
I came to the restaurant and it had a sign that it was closed I was so disappointed that’s the reason I came to Atlanta I really want to eat there . I wish they would have sent me a email to let me know that it was closed so I could have come to the new one . I really want to support candie business
Unfortunately when we arrived at this location there was a sign on the door saying closed for renovations. There should have been better communication between Open Table and this restaurant to not allow people to reserve since closed for renovations. We went 30 minutes out of our way to get there.
First, the only positive remark I can say is the Mac n cheese was hot and a great taste. We had reservations at 1 pm at the Peter street location. Upon arriving there was a note on the front door that the location was closed for renovations, bug to visit the East Point location. So, we drove there. Upon arriving we were told that our reservations couldn’t be honored because they didn’t have anything to do with reservations for Peter St. I ask for the manager and Kim came out and immediately sat us, but was told that she wasn’t suppose to. Food came out cold and without proper serving etiquette., Our servers finger was inside the bowl of grits and shrimp and she didn’t take it away. I had to tell her to return it to the kitchen to be replaced. The rib tips was cold. Our lamb chops came to the table with a high covering of sauce and loaded baked potatoes that were ice cold and filled with a sweet sugar substance that was crunchy. The sweet tea and lemonade were both watered down. Horrible experience and would never revisit.. Save your money visit another location for soul food get Busy Bee
They cancelled my reservation the day before. I had a second reservation but they didn’t cancel that one. I found out when I went there and it was closed.
Me and family dined at the OLG on marketplace blvd. The atmosphere& service was great we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was okay. Shrimp and grits a bit underseasoned but the chicken, mac & cheese, collards & corn bread was good. I would go back because it wasn’t terrible.
Birthday and employee of the month
I had to answer the questions so that I could get to the comments… I would not know how the old lady gang restaurant is because my reservation was canceled last minute. They said their restaurant was under construction. I made those reservations more than likely on the Friday prior to that Monday flew into Atlanta from Detroit. I would imagine they knew they were under construction on Friday when I made the reservations and to call me on Sunday afternoon is completely unacceptable. As someone from out of town that doesn’t live in Atlanta I am certainly not impressed by the way they do business I think I expected way more.
My friends and I traveled from Detroit Michigan . We made reservations at one of the locations 3weeks ago ,then we get a call saying our reservation was canceled do to Renovation . So we called the other location to make a new reservation to find out that it’s first come first served... wow Thank you kandi Todd and the rest of the crew stick to reality tv
We had a reservation for Saturday Night at 9 o’clock but when we arrived the facility was closed for renovations. There was nothing posted on the website nor on open table to inform the customers about that specific location was closed. We traveled from AL to visit the restaurant and was very disappointed about this incident. We called another location to express our grievance and they were not accommodating nor apologetic about our plight. I would never recommend this Restaurant to anyone!
Reservation was cancelled the day before and I had people in town from Miami highly anticipating to go there. However, I know the restaurant have great food and good customer service based on prior experience but they should block reservations if they are renovations.
I got a call cancelling the reservation bc of renovations
I booked a table a week in advance for my 2 year anniversary only to be advised 2days before we were scheduled to arrive the location was closed !! Advised to call alt location and they advised walk ins only Oh ok Kandi arrived attempted to do walk in and Well EPIC FAIL 🤦🏽♀️
Food was amazing. .. Definitely a great place to go if u want soul food.. I will definitely be back.
They were closed. And didn’t let us know. We weren’t informed and had reservations we came from out of town just to come to the restaurant. But we were turned away. It was my friend birthday she was annoyed and just over it.
I made a reservation one week prior to my visit for March 1st at 6:45 pm. My boyfriend and I arrived on time after dealing with heavy, frustrating downtown Atlanta traffic. He let me out at the door of the address provided from the reservation and main website. I noticed it was rather dark so I entered the store next door to Old Lady Gang to inquire if I had the correct address.... come to find out, the location was closed down for renovations. This made no sense because I received a follow up email for me to confirm my reservation. It said nothing about a location change. My boyfriend and I were very disappointed and were inconvenienced because of this very unprofessional notice. I’m not sure if we will ever try dining there again
Upon arrival at OLG, we discovered they were closed for renovations.
We’re from Virginia and this dinner was the highlight of a very busy weekend.
We called the other location and the staff member was rude and of no help.
Please take this location off the app if the restaurant is closed.
Myself and my daughter were very disappointed!
I was allowed to make reservations and this location was closed for renovations. Very annoyed
Made a reservation 5 days in advance no one called to tell me business closed due renovations. So unprofessional...unreal
I had my birthday celebration at The Old Lady Gang and everyone for the receptionist to the server was very nice. The food is very good. My only complaint was the mashed yams, they had too many strings it them. I love yams but was disappointed with those yams. Besides that everything else was awesome!
I had confirmed reservations at the Peters st location only to find it they were closed for renovations. The camp creek location reassured us that we could still be seated at their location, which we were. Food was amazing and the manager quickly fixed our food order with an entirely new order. I would definitely go back!
The reservation was made weeks in advance. The location had since closed for renovations. We arrived to find out the restaurant was closed.
Very upset that I made a reservation months ago only to show up to the restaurant to find out that they were closed. Poor customer service.
I booked for one location, arrived to find that the location was closed for renovations. A little confused as to why I was able to book for that closed location in the first place...Drove 30 minutes to the Camp Creek location and luckily, they were quick to seat my party. Service was friendly but slow. I had the salmon which was tasty. Most other items I tried from my friends' plates were good, but a bit salty. But it's soul food, so as expected! Glad to also see 1/3 of the OLG greeting customers at the door. Nice touch.
I am very disappointed to find out that this location was closed! But this website not only take my reservation they also confirmed, poor customer service
Besides letting me make a reservation at the Peters location and me and my guess gets there and they where closed for Renovation. So then me and my guess had to go to the new location at marketplace, which then they couldn’t accommodate us because I made a reservation and me and my guess had to wait 45mins for a table. The food was good and the staff was very nice, we had a good time. I just did not appreciate them letting us set a reservation at a location and then I have to go out of our way to another location.
Old Lady Gang is really the best soul food experience I’ve had. Ms Nora, made our party feel welcome as if we were having dinner at her home. Don’t change a thing, other than getting a bigger space. I’m proud of this black family and the love they brought to Black Hollywood- aka- ATL. Yours truly

I had a Birthday reservation at the Old Lady Gang and when I arrived to the location with confirmation of my reservation! To my surprise, the building was closed for renovations!!! WOW! However, the Internet allowed me to make a reservation!! I went to the second location and was told by your aunt "everybody knows that location is being renovated" every body being who Atl resident? I'm a Alabama residents. I was amazed that "OLG" second location would not honor my reservations after I told them about the situation due to and error of their own! I was offered to be put on a 1 1/2 waiting list. I must say I tried to call restaurant earlier that day just to confirm my reservation. NOTHING , I MEAN NOTHING, on the Internet let me know that the building was being renovated. I was only allowed to leave a message for lost and found / other option was to go to the internet for reservations! (which allows you to make reservation to a closed restaurant). I ended up at "The Juicy Crab" we only had a 40 min wait. I was very disappointed of the "OLG "due to the fact my husband had made reservation for my Birthday Celebrations! which I told him that is where I would like to celebrate my special day! I LEFT 2 MESSAGES WITH THE LOST AND FOUND AND NEVER GOT A RETURN CALL AND TODAY IT HAS BEEN 4 DAYS AND STILL NO RESPONSE.
