Old Lady Gang
Our first sisters trip and we were excited that we could have great food and service at such a beautiful place!! We will definitely be back 😊😊
Absolutely horrible - food was cold, server was not attentive, and everything took forever!
The food was amazing. Macaroni and cheese is the best. I definately recommend honey glazed salmon!! Service was awesome as well.
Overall we a had a good experience and the drinks and food were good.
My first time and my visit was awesome and so was my waitrrss
My sister and I first time traveling together so we wanted a full experience of Atlanta!! The food was great! The service was great! Made new connections because the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming!! We will definitely return 😊
Visiting from Jersey this was one of the places my friend wanted to go to & what a great choice the food was delicious I could have definitely went for a second serving of yams but I was so full. The hospitality of the staff was amazing as well.It was also a pleasant surprise to see Nora there & she was so nice and welcoming. Anyone visiting Atl this is a must
Food was excellent! Service wasn’t great! Ordered a couple drinks and it took forever to receive them.
The food was great, especially the mac and cheese, yams, fried salmon, crab cakes, and cornbread. Momma Joyce’s House Punch was pretty tasty also. Our server was great as well; Kadarian was very helpful, he made great recommendations to help us decide, so much that we ended up getting 3 appetizers and 3 entrees and it was only 2 of us! He was very friendly, personable, patient, and kept checking in on us even though he was very busy with other customers. He's the kind of person you want serving your customers.
My only complaint was that even though we had a reservation, we were sent to a waiting room to wait another 15 minutes past our reservation. Appreciative that the host unlocked the waiting room for us to sit, though its really weird that it can only be entered outside of the restaurant. This was essentially a hallway with chairs. It felt too closed in, so we ventured to this yummy gourmet popcorn place next door, so that was a plus! Even though we had to wait and a person with a reservation after ours walked right in a few minutes after their time and was seated immediately.... By the time we got to Kadarian, I had forgotten about the off kilter first impression. Kadarian, and the food of course, helped save this experience !
Overall I would recommend this place.
It was my first time visiting Old Lady Gang. I was so excited to see what all the hype was about but unfortunately the staff really dropped the ball. I ordered my appetizer(fried green tomatoes) and 2 entrees for me and my boyfriend. He got the lamb chops and I ordered the shrimp and grits all at one time. It took 30 minutes to receive the appetizer and an additional 45 minutes to receive one entree and after waiting that entire time they let us know that they did not have grilled shrimp. So we had to split one entree. The manager on duty did not come to the table and apologize and only took $2.70 off the bill. Very disappointed that this was my first experience.
Ewhile the food you service were good,Kandi really needs to reinvest back into the restaurant. There are a LOT of noticeable things that needs to be repaired, replaced or just cleaned. IJS
The food was very tasteful and delicious. I had Aunt Noras fish and grits.
Great meal! Thank you!
I’m from Detroit and couldn’t wait to eat here but was disappointed. Food was horrible. Sweet potatoes were burned, fried chicken was hard and crunchy, mac n cheese stiff. Greens DRY
The lamb chops were great, very cozy atmosphere. The atmosphere was great
Everything was great but the FOOD. We visited Atlanta from Chicago looking forward to good southern soul food and was highly disappointed. Greens and Yams lacked flavor. Cornbread was tough. Chicken was not flavorful and had way too much sage. All of the food seemed like it wasn't prepared fresh and was popped in the oven after being refrigerated a couple of days. The drinks were great! Music was way too loud.
The food was to amazing. My absolute favorite so far was the fried deviled eggs. Large potions I had the fried chicken. Greens, Mac and cheese and candied yams so much food was able to take home. For desert I had the peach cobbler my sister had the salmon, mash potatoes and green beans she loved it. And her desert was banana pudding very good. I am mad at myself that it took so long to finally get there. Food was so good already made reservation again. Only thing is felt bad for the people who had their children with them the restaurant is only missing a children’s menu but you can order a platter and children can share it’s that much food. Oh and I had the Rum lunch made to perfection 😊
This was definitely one of the best parts of my trip to Atlanta. The food was amazing and the server (I think her name was Lindsay) was amazing. We enjoyed talking with her. I ordered the rib tips with mac and cheese, candies yams, and collard greens as sides. Would definitely visit this place again.
MY EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT FROM THE FOOD, TO THE SERVICE, TO THE DRINKS. THE WAITRESS WA ON POINT AND VERY MUCH TO THE POINT & ON TIME WITH EVERYTHING.
The food was cold not fresh, mac n cheese was old. Yams were not cooked all the way. I have never been to a restaurant this bad before. Will never go back or recommend anyone.
Enjoyed my first time there celebrating my Founders Day
We went to OLG as a get together and because none of us had been before and had heard to was a good place. Upon arrival there was nowhere to park on the street without a good walk and we didn’t want to pay to park in the restaurant parking lot. The inside was very small, I expected something larger. The music was way too loud to have decent conversation without yelling. The food was just okay, not at all worth the hype that it has been given.
The food was very good. I really liked the chicken and fried deviled eggs.
Food was great! Will come back! Highly recommend! I had the turkey greens, Mac & Cheese, and Chicken. Husband had Steak, Mac & Cheese, and mashed potatoes..
The service and food was great. Definitely going back soon.
I wasn’t crazy about the yams or collard greens but the macaroni and cheese was amazing as well as the fried chicken. We also tried the fried salmon which was delicious! Definitely would go back to try other dishes.
I was beyond disappointed in the service and food. I was so excited to visit OLG and so wanted to enjoy the experience. I made reservations for a table for two and arrived on time and was seated at a bar table- which I can live with. We ordered apps (deviled eggs and catfish) the deviled eggs were cold..but taste was good, catfish was ok. After the apps arrived I asked the waitress for utensils and app plates because we didn't have either, she brought appetizer plates but came back with plastic utensils as they " ran out." How is that even possible? Then after placing our order we waited almost 45 minutes for food to arrive before the waitress came back to tell us that the kitchen lost our order and it would be right out. I ordered fried chicken with mac and my friend got the lamb medium well. After another 20 minuted the food came, my chicken was luke warm, mac and cheese was strong, greens also luke warm and my friend's lamb chops were charred- like SUPER well done. My friend asked for cider from the bar and was told they ran out of that too, when he asked for Ginger Beer, the waitress said they ran out. This was two minutes after I saw a man carrying a flat of goslings into the kitchen. So I let her know I just saw them bring in ginger beer and she came back 5 min later with it. I was willing to be patient because I wanted to give this restaurant a chance. What shocked me most was there was NO concession on the check for having to wait so long and the overall service and attention to detail and professionalism was lacking. We didn't get any visit from the manager or anyone checking in our food for us to give feedback to. The only reason I paid the full bill was because I didn't want to wait another 15 min to speak to someone and the poor waitress seemed genuinely embarrassed and apologetic. Next time, I'll save my money and time and go to Popeyes.
After making reservations a week in advance, we’re still stuck downstairs at the high top bar and a very noisy section
Very bad! From the time we arrived and up until asking for check after deciding no to eat dried and not cooked all the way food.
The best shrimp and grits ever. Absolutely all the food was delicious and beyond excellent. Decor and ambiance could be ramped up but the food made up for it!!!
We must have came on a bad day. We had rib tips as an appetizer which very good. I had chicken Mac n cheese and greens. I did NOT enjoy the greens at all (taste like they were burnt) and had to send them back which is something I don’t normally good. They were replaced with yams which decent. My Mac n cheese was okay. It wasn’t cheesy through out. Finally, the chicken was very greasy and had an unfamiliar seasoning that my pallet didn’t quite like. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The ambience was nice. The location is not good due to the limited parking available...even in the lot.
The food was cold and salty. The decor was not the best. Not sure why a picture of her husband is in ladies restroom. Bartender was loud and found it necessary to vocalize her disdain about my order to the point that several sitting at bar turned to my table. The tables were close. Also, we had to pay $10 to park. D-
The food was not good!!! I was part of a large group and had a taste of pretty much everything on the menu. Nothing was fresh. Everything seemed heated to order. The hype is only due to the owner but the food was nothing to return for.
Everything was AMAZING from the food to the great customer service we received from a waitress by the name of Caroline. Caroline was very nice and attentive to everyone at my table. The only thing that was a tad bit bothersome was how small the place actually was; I felt like we were practically sitting on top of the group of people that were sitting behind us. With everything else being so great, I honestly overlooked that minor detail. I’m sure the size of the restaurant will expand in the future. Other than that, everything else was truly awesome...keep up the good work!
Everything was AMAZING! From the strong drinks to the great service! I love this place!
I really enjoyed the restaurant. I live in Alabama but was there in Atlanta due to reconstruction after my breast cancer surgery . I wanted to enjoy it with friends and I did. Kandi and Todd , Great Resturant
We throughly enjoyed this restaurant. It was a pre-concert dinner for us. Rarely can my husband and I both say every item we ordered was excellent. I had the salmon with green beans and mashed sweet potatoes. If I could make green beans like that I’d eat more veggies. The salmon was great and the sweet potatoes were just right. My husband had the ribeye with spinach and fries. The steak was super tender and well seasoned, no steak sauce needed. The spinach was awesome!! I seriously considered asking if I could ask the chef how he cooked his veggies. The finally was the banana pudding. OMGOODNESS, I don’t know what they did but it was phenomenal. I should’ve had that first because I was too full to each as much of it as I wanted. All in all, it was a great dinner. I’m glad this place isn’t close to me because I would pack on the pounds.
We had a party of 8 from Alabama and we were in ATL for the Justin Timberlake concert. I chose this location because I watch Real Housewives of ATL. The food was amazing. We all ordered different menu items and they were all delicious. The cocktails were delicious and definitely worth it. We were so lucky Aunt Nora was there and came over to our table and spoke with us. AND made our night by posing in a few photos with us. If you’re in ATL you must go!
Opentable made it super easy to make reservations.
Really fun, great service! Clean fast and accurate! Server was friendly and sweet
The food was great and delicious, the restaurant have great scenery and the chef in charge was present and we spoke to him he was nice. My party also meet the cook chef on duty he was great. But very pricey. But will come again because of the service, our server was Caroline she was very nice and pleasant. Thank you again Caroline
