Old Lady Gang
Our food was average at best. Not as good as I wanted it to be. Our service was outstanding. Great server.
The food wasn’t it’s best ; However, the manager AD was amazing and accommodating with fixing the wrong orders and was professional and courteous
I would say yes and no. The food was good but the way the manager and server handled our issue causes me to say no. We had a reservation and did not get all our food until an hour and half later. We flew to Atlanta to celebrate my birthday and because of great reviews from others picked this restaurant as the Birthday dinner location. We would have been fine had they kept us notified of what was going on but we kept getting bad information that eventually left a bad taste in our mouth. Again, the food is great but the manager and server were a disappointment.
The food was excellent, and the waitress Meme had great customer service!! She rocked!
This place is absolutely HORRIBLE! The location is horrible and congested. It took me 20 mins to figure out the parking was in the back. There were no signs or anything to help. I had to pay $12 for parking in the restaurant’s lot that wasn’t even valet. The parking attendant was rude and walked away after taking my money without helping me park. Once inside, I had to find my way upstairs through the front. The then hostess tried to keep us waiting in a whole other side of the building, which I refused because what was the purpose of reservations? Even as I stood in line to be seated, there were multiple people coming through the door in front of me and being helped. Once seated we received dirty silverware. The food was totally disgusting and bland. My sister and I ordered the same exact food but I received half the serving than her. Everything that could be wrong, was wrong. I did however have a waitress, Raven, who did the best she could to satisfy us. She was the only good thing about this establishment . I wish I could get my time and money back
I love my visit but my dream was to meet Kandi 😍😍😍😍😍😍in pperson.i came2 hours hoping she would be there .I love the way her and Todd has built together
Love this restaurant! I plan on visiting everytime I visit Atlanta!
The service was less than average. The seating was too tight. The food was average overall. The best thing was the fried devil eggs.
Food was very good. I’m from Memphis, TN anytime I come to Atlanta OLG will be on my list. Very good food especially the Salmon
Enjoyed it as always. Made reservations & was seated immediately. Always love the music & ambiance. I had the honey glazed salmon with collard greens & green beans.
The restaurant was okay. It wasn't what I anticipated. We booked reservations at least two weeks in advance but were initially given horrible seats After asking to be re-seated, we were moved downstairs. The young lady who we checked in with was extremely friendly. Our waiter on the other hand was horrible. He was not friendly, did not check on us after he bought our food, and seemed more interested hanging out with the other waiters, whom I must say were very attentive to their tables.
We won't visit again, but I would recommend the spot, at least for a one time visit.
Everything was good beside the wait time for our food to come .
Good food, music, and service. I love the casual uniform. However, one concern I notice some touching their hair/makeup and then serving food.
Had a very wonderful time, Asia was our waitress. She gave awesome suggestions
Made a reservation for 9pm arrived before that time, but I didn’t get to a table until 9:30. Waited to be greeted by the waitress but my family waited another 20 minutes to give the waitress any orders we had especially since the restaurant closes at 10pm. Since it was our first time there we wanted to try a little of everything including the alcoholic beverages, well we thought we would try it we ordered the drinks waited 40 minutes for our waitress to tell us the bartender “lost” our ticket. Finally after waiting almost a hour for food we refined our food we noticed we were missing cornbread muffins which are complimentary, we told the waitress she told us that the kitchen was closed since it was past 10. We asked for the manager since we were still waiting on drinks and didn’t receive all of the food that came with our order. The manager comes over and ask what’s going on so we proceed to tell him about waiting for our drinks since our airless said the bartender lost our tickets, he decides to tell us that the bartender didn’t misplace our tickets but that since it was past the 10 they couldn’t serve us alcohol. Now if you remember we didn’t get to a table until 9:50 and waited more time to see our waitress. This policy was not announced to my family before we ordered. I am very disappointed in the service at this place I would recommend eating at the local McDonald’s with upfront issues and way better service.
We had reservations for 8:30 and weren’t seated until 9:45. We came all the way from Philly and were so excited to try it we refused to leave. Once seated, we were greeted by the most professional and polite host. I believe her name was Ivane. The drinks were good as well as the food. It definitely made the wait worth it
From us waiting over an hour outside in the cold because they weren’t keeping up to the damn waiting list! To some of our food being over cooked and others’ was actually good...overall experience, WE’LL NEVER BE BACK!!
Our waitress was nice but the food came out awfully quick. Turns out the food was cold and they had no to-go cups. The atmosphere was okay.
Great food, strong drinks and friendly staff.
The atmosphere was great. The appetizers gave the word a whole new meaning! Will definitely be a go to spot, especially when family comes into town!
Great place to go and enjoy with your friends. The food is awesome (well, my friend and I had the Fried Chicken -- da bomb!). You won't be disappointed.
Horrible food and service. Very disappointed. Over cooked macaroni and over seasoned collard greens. Fish and chicken wasn’t good.
Anniversary dinner! Food was delicious!!
It was a kool spot for dinner, when we got there we waited a few mins to be seated, we did have reservations. They took us downstairs to be seated. Our server was awesome
! She advised us from the start, there was no crab cakes or devils eggs and no dessert!! Rather disappointing for that!! Grilled shrimp was good!! The bbq chicken from the appetizer menu was a bit salty to my liking!! For main dining i got the fried chicken with collard greens and Mac n cheese!! The sides was ok!! I eventually switched out tje greens for the candied yams!! The fried chicken was very crispy but it was not seasoned at all!! Very bland!!
Fried chicken was amazing along with the corn bread
I had the French toast and chicken wings. Some of the best French toast I’ve had! Comes with a sweet cream sauce and syrup. The fried chicken is pretty standard. Nothing special but goes well with the French toast.
We (Party of 6 with two little kids) were visiting from Dallas and decided to try OLG. We arrived at opening on Sunday. Paid $10 to park in the parking lot in the back of the Restaurant. When we got inside we were told to go upstairs to wait for our seats. Once our seats were ready they brought us back downstairs. Took about 40 mins to get our food and it was not warm. The taste was great but it felt like they forgot to warm up the food during morning preparation. I spoke to a manager (who I overheard was from Chicago) with our complaint about cool food and she apologized and but did not provide a resolution or offer any comp. Also the high chairs are not safe. Someone assembled them incorrectly so there is no middle piece to stop the children from sliding out of the high chair. When we asked for replacements we were told there were only 3 and 2 were incorrectly assembled. This was Money down the drain and a bad experience...
This venue is not what you would expect from an A List celebrity. My two sisters and I had reservations on a Saturday night. There were seats available but I had to suggest the table. The server was not "on" and did not present well. Her energy was lackluster. We did not receive water or cutlery when we were seated/had been seated for quite some time. We received a plastic spoon to eat shrimp and grits. The fried green tomatoes were cold. The crabcakes were standard and not jumbo lump as indicated on the menu.
Chicken was cold and greens was too salty....thought it would be better than it was!
The service was extremely slow the day of our visit which was for our cousin's birthday. The young lady who sat us rarely came to check on us; however, served others who were seated after us first. She told us there was a back up with the dishes and it took nearly 45 minutes to get out drinks. When the food finally came nearly an hour later it was lukewarm at best. The bright spot was one of the aunts who was there who stepped in to assist to try to salvage our dinner. She was delightful.
I would not be a return customer.
This place is horrible. It has a funny smell and the rug was so nasty. It was so nasty I was afraid to eat from the kitchen. It is super small and its not worth going. Please do not go ,you will be disappointed.
My wife and I really enjoyed the food. We are planning another trip and The OLG will be visited again. We will try them for the late evening to sew if its a difference. But overall it was nice. Seen and hugged aunt Nora. Very beautiful in person.
the temp got very cold inside. There are not enough food selections on the menu. Also the food is not tasty. I will not be going back again. It's too small. The chairs and tables are too small as well. I was very disappointed. However, l did enjoy taking pictures with one of the Aunt's and my friends.
Atmosphere was pleasant and food was delicious. I can't wait to visit Atlanta again to go back for dinner. The fried deviled eggs...oh my😋
Had to wait an hour to be seated and I had reservations, my Mac and cheese was terrible my lamb chops were burnt, my husband didn’t eat his mac and cheese and his sister didn’t eat any of her food because it was cold, I came all the way from Detroit and choose kandi Burrus restaurant and I was highly dissatisfied, I will never dine in at any old lady gang, you guys can’t possibly be a soul food restaurant serving Mac and cheese like that.
Service was very slow. It felt like we were sitting on top of other guess.
This was my 2nd time coming. I'm from North Carolina the food was great; the portions were plentiful! I hope you eventually franchise this brand. Thank you for blessing us. (Sidebar: Kandi, I have another business idea for you; it's quite unique and no one is doing it; call me, 704-433-8566.)
My 11 year old daughter loved the serviced, and the food. OLG has the feel of a Southern/New York style comfort.
The art work was very unique and felt like home.
Can't wait to try the entire menu and bring my mother from Miami to the OLG.
Food was great! Those deviled eggs were sooooooo good!
I was greeted with a smile. My waitress was the best. It was no need for a carry out box because the food was delicious and I cleaned my plate.
The food is so flavorful.
