So I am a big fan of Kandi and was excited to visit her restaurant during my trip to Atlanta. I ignored some of the bad reviews and made myself a reservation. As soon as I walked in my excitement died out, I stood by the door waiting for 10 mins for anyone from the staff to acknowledge me and when someone finally did speak to me it was to ask me to wait for the hostess which was another 10 mins. Once at my table the waitress was actually pretty nice and offered me some advise on what was top sellers on the menu which I must say was extremely limited. I settled for a OLG Sidecar and rib tips for starters. The drink tasted like medecine and the ribs were too salty. I ordered my entree shortly after, fried chicken with collard greens and fries. After an hour wait my food finally made it. The chicken was dry and tasteless, the greens tasted like canned greens and my fries did not make it out until 20 minutes later and was the best tasting thing I had ordered. I ended up taking everything to go which I gave away because I had no desire to eat anymore of the food. Since the waitress had recommended the house mojito I did order it and one sip into it sent it right back to the bar. Overall I am very disappointed and realized that the reviews were right. I do not recommend the restaurant nor will I return. Waste of money and time.
Food was absolutely delicious. Seasoned perfectly 😋😋
Visiting from Chicago. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. They welcomed us like we were family, especially Aunt Nora! Loved her!!!
Food was good. Prices extremely high. Definitely a good experience and a must do when visiting!
Overhyped. Food was plain. Decor was cheap. Disappointed. Won’t be going back. Only good thing was service....
Unfortunately, I had high expectations due to it being a celebrity restaurant. I took my mother visiting from Seattle whom is a big fan of RHOA. Our server was great and would love to give him props but none of the employees wore name tags & you really couldn’t tell who was employees or customers. There was a lot of of people hanging around the front door people going in & out the kitchen constantly. The food fried catfish strips were over cooked, macaroni & cheese was rubbery as if it had been reheated several times throughout the day. Overpriced. Do Not Go!!!! Please!!!
Mac and cheese was the best!!! Chicken was crispy..greens were amazing! We loved it
OLG has a cool atmosphere. It was nice seeing 2 memebers of OLG talking with guests. The drinks are really good. I look forward to checking out their Friday Night Live series.
Awesome!!!! It was my wifes birthday and it all was excellent...food, service, music. The server even sung happy birthday. My wife said it will be one of her favorite birthdays. Thank you OLG...
I Celebrating my birthday here and it was great. Drinks were good I will recommend it to my family and friends.
Over priced for appetizers portion. And entre menu is limited
The food was delicious! We were greeted as soon as we walked into the door. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely dine again when I visit Atlanta.
Food is good...not great...but good. Wait staff was very friendly. Food came out quickly. The bread in the peach cobbler bread pudding and the mini corn bread muffins that come with the chicken were both hard.
Provide better service, I traveled from Dallas, Tx to ATL and made the reservation 3 weeks in advance, and when I got there we had to wait for a table. They sat us in the bar area like we were there for happy hour. It took 15 minutes for the waiter to come over. Now the food was great.
I have been about three times now and everything I had was Delcious I would recommend OLG to everyone.
Even with reservations, the wait was very very very long. If it was any other restaurant we would have left. There was trash all over the floor downstairs and the bathroom was dirty. I can only give two stars for the overall service. If I was only rating the server I would give her five stars. She was great, she really tried to keep up with everything because we were a large group. The experience was very disappointing since we traveled all the way from Maryland; however, on the bright side...the best part of eating at the OLG restaurant was meeting aunt Nora, she saved day! She was awesome and very personable! I hope if and when we come back, that we have a better experience and all of the problems and kinks are worked out.
Great spot! Loved my food - parking is the worst though.
The food was excellent once it arrived. The only negative about the place is that the food took over an hour to come out.
When asked, Kandi told Andy Cohen Jr restaurant was doing well. THE LIES, THE LIES, THE LIES!!! The service is a -5 which hare a direct impact on the food. They definitely need Six Sigma to improve the business. The BEST part of the experience was Aunt Nora. When she left, concierge lost all professionalism. I'll be surprised if they last 2 more years with how things are operating.
My boyfriend and I drove from Augusta to get away and have a little fun.I suggest we try the restaurant. There was no good parking ,some other things we didn't like it was just okay.
Great customer service from the Bartender! Unfortunately, I didn't get his name but he wears a curly ponytail. Momma Joyce's house punch was great!
The macaroni and fried chicken was ok. The collard greens and green beans were horrible.
My friend and I had a great dining experience! The French toast and chicken was soooo good, along with the macaroni. We finished eating in time to still catch a good amount of the Friday Night Live set - great music! Leandria Johnson being present was a great treat, and we got a pic w/ Kandi...yay! We will definitely return soon
The food was so good I forgot about my wife cake for her birthday the restaurant dining area was a lil small but I would definitely go back
My sisters and I went to the restaurant to celebrate our birthdays last weekend. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice. It was a decent amount of food for the cost so no complaints from us.
I was visiting from out of town and a friend and I made reservations to visit the restaurant. Service, food and drinks were good so we would give good ratings overall. However, I would like to suggest offering more vegan options. I was only able to order a salad with limited topping offerings and fries. Nonetheless we still enjoyed our experience.
I had a great time at Old Lady Gang. Took about 10 minutes to get seated and our waitress Zoë was super sweet. Overall the food was ok, but that macaroni and cheese was AMAZING !
I love the atmosphere that was the best part! The food was ok, I wish there were more options for us Vegans, lol. But its cool, I love Kandi and wanted to support her restaurant! My family enjoyed their food, we wish there were bigger portions for us folk that like to experience left overs coming in from out of town. Oh and our waiter could've been a little more friendlier he had an attitude for what Im not sure maybe he was having a bad day, I wont hold that against the other good experiences we had. And we still tipped him, lol just because, we hope that brightened his day.
Overall experience was good. Not a fan of how the seating arrangements are set up but the most important thing is the food was great.
Carmella was awesome!! Actually everything was!! Drinks!! Good!! Even met one of the OLG!
Parking sucks! The lot is to small and tight. Parking should be free. I am pay to eat....
Not senior friendly....
Had reservations, waited over 45 minutes to be seated.......
Yams, were a souffle not candied.....
Chairs were not comfortable....
Fried shrimps were on menu, however they were salutee........
I was expecting more from OLG. The food was just Ok. Server, Ross, didn’t appear to have any knowledge or skill at waiting tables. Service was definitely lacking throughout the restaurant. It needs a good deep cleaning from top to bottom, staff retrained and ambiance enhanced. The chicken portion was very small, definitely wasn’t worth the price I paid.
We had a 6:15 reservation and were seated immediately in the lower area. The waiter was quick to take our order. The fried chicken, greens, and macaroni were great. My daughter had the French toast and chicken and she was pleased as well. We also had the fried devil eggs which were great. I would definitely recommend.
The only downside to the experience was having to pay $10 for parking. I’m not used to restaurants charging you to park - even higher end restaurants.
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT.I WILL BE BACK WHEN I COME BACK TO TOWN.
My wife and I always enjoy ourselves, cousin Kim is too funny - we always have a great time!
We really enjoyed our food. We did not have to wait ti be seated and it was a wonderful experience that each of us have been telling people about and recommending.
My mother and I were in ATL for a family wedding!..We went there bc we watch Housewives of ATL..The food was fair!..I had the Fried Fish appetizer and it had good flavor and was seasoned well!..In my opinion Mama Joyce’s punch was on the “weaker side”(tasted no alcohol)..I didn’t care for the greens(they tasted sweet)!..The buffalo wings had decent flavor but very little sauce and barely warm!..Would of liked them hot or atleast warmer w/sauce!..but the service was great!
The food was great!! The fried deviled eggs were a great appetizer! The catfish strips were tasty and served fresh and hot!! The fried chicken wings were seasoned better than I expected!! A must try is the macaroni and cheese it was so delicious!!! I really enjoyed my meal!!!
The food was beyond great! Aunt Bertha was at the door when my family and I arrived and was so nice and welcoming. The music selection was BOMB, making me feel like I was back in the 90's. Overall great experience!!!
Food was good. Takes a long time for food to come out with that been said the food should have been very hot but it wasn't. Waiter was not very friendly and food portion was small.
