Old Homestead - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
A bit of East Coast steakhouse tradition is reinvented at Caesars Palace with the Las Vegas outpost of New York City landmark Old Homestead. Brothers Marc and Greg Sherry, whose family has been associated with the original Old Homestead (est. 1868) for decades, let Vegas get a taste of its fine cuts and legendary history.
Many beloved American favorites are featured here, such as applewood smoked bacon, calamari, Kobe meatballs, warm doughnut bread pudding and New York-style classic cheesecake. Ranging from the New York Strip to Porterhouse for Two, its standout are the famous cuts of meat, selected and butchered with attention to detail that made the original so famous.

I mentioned that it was my husbands birthday in the reservation and nobody acknowledged it. Also, my steak was raw when I ordered medium. Our server also disappeared for long periods of time making it hard to get our check and to correct the things that were wrong.
First time eating here and the food was amazing! Our waiter Rocky was the best, very attentive and friendly! The steak was excellent and the Brussel sprouts are a must!
Had reservations, seated right away, masks worn by all employees, customers required to wear masks until seated at table and beverage served. Water glasses were filled as soon as we were seated so masks could be removed. Food was excellant. Onion soup was a bit salty, but great flavor. Steaks cooked perfectly, lobster mac and cheese, delicious, table next to us, ordered a baked potato, huge, easily big enough for 2. Will certainly return on our next trip to Vegas.
It was wonderful. Food is outstanding. Four stars for ambiance because of covid restrictions.
My waiter I had act as if he didn’t want to talk to us he didn’t even tell us about the menu he was intimidated by us being African American the waiter also delivered our food and explained to us how to properly eat a lobster it was very insulting to us and our intelligence I will not recommend anyone of minority to go especially if they have him serving them
Both my sister and I were sick after eating the crab cake
Outstanding food & service. Obviously adjusted to COVID seating, so effects the setting/environment, but thought they did the best they could to still make it a 5 star experience. We’ll be back for sure
Excellent!! All parts of the meal were great. I’ve been before and will continue to dine there
Food and service were great! Only thing missing was the bread basket.
Side dish was served cold.
The tomahawk ribeye was the most expensive in the U. S. And was tasteless.
The cheapest side of mashed potatoes was $18
Never again will we dine at this shabby restaurant
20th year anniversary we went there and had a limited menu and none of the online menu that I was planning on ordering. Food was good but not as exceptional as you would have thought considering the price point.
The service was amazing! Our waiter was kind, polite and very helpful with recommendations.
Great food. Pace of service was a little slow for a hungry guy, but the vibe was great and the food was even better!
Definitely a little pricey but very good. Quick service
The food and atmosphere was amazing, steak was perfect, mash and spinach was the bomb... would definitely come back to this place.
Always a true pleasure going to Vegas. During COVID times we were not sure what to expect but really noticed all restaurants and stores making the accommodations to ensure safety of the people. Thanks for all that you do. We appreciate the people who serve us.
good food and service....there were booths on the aisle but somebody decided to take them out and revert to a dennys seating selection...BIG MISTAKE....now that area (when no coved 19) is tight...just what you want when you spending $150.00 a person or more.....As far as my seating the other day,I avoided that area...Again, Food and service is very good to excellant
I am not typically one to leave negative reviews; however, I have eaten much better steaks at a more reasonable price. For this price-point, I expect really good to fabulous food, and it just missed the mark. I ordered the filet medium rare, and it was a bit dry and not incredibly flavorful. The sautéed mushrooms and baked potato were okay - nothing to write home about. Cheesecake, again, was okay but not great. My husband ordered the surf and turf that was served with lobster tail, and his lobster tail was also dry.
Food was OK, steaks were OK. Not very good value for the prices. The wife and I visited on a Saturday night. It was very packed and very very loud. Wasn't the best choice for a romantic dinner with the wife. Won't be returning.
Seated 25 minutes after reservation time, but service was good and food was delicious.
Great 16oz ribeye, very tasty. (No bone.)
Service great, restaurant procedures and distancing appeared safe.
Our service was poor. The music wasn’t great and there was not a great. Our waiter forgot about our bar drinks and the disappeared for 30 minutes. The steaks were ok . The duck fries were good but later in the evening we both spent time in the restroom with upset stomachs. We have had many great meals in Las Vegas. This was not one of them!
Best steak I have had. Great atmosphere. The creme brûlée was outstanding
Outstanding every time!!
Very good and worth the price, had the pan seared chicken and my wife had the surf and turf. Everything was really good.
Kim is amazing server!
