Old Homestead - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
Complemented by sultry décor, dark woods and burgundy leather booths, Old Homestead's urban dining room and bar feels like a familiar favorite. (The glass wine cellar holding 15,000 bottles doesn't hurt, either.)
Many beloved American favorites are featured here, such as applewood smoked bacon, calamari, Kobe meatballs, warm doughnut bread pudding and New York-style classic cheesecake. Ranging from the New York Strip to Porterhouse for Two, its standout are the famous cuts of meat, selected and butchered with attention to detail that made the original so famous.
I expected a good meal which we got, but what made the meal better was the friendliness and helpfulness of our waiter
Dinner and service was excellent? Recommend the Lobster Bisque, Cesar Salad and of course the Steaks!
Over hyped, over priced and over it. The music from the casino overwhelmed the restaurant and it was bad. The service started ok but then yanked towards the end.
Great steaks and sides. Waited at the bar for our table, staff was very attentive and mixed one of the best martinis that I had in Vegas. We will definitely go back. The name is deceiving, nothing "Old" about the place. Very upbeat and cool.
Quite crowded and tight seating so noisy. Service good, and food good - ungodly expensive (food, drinks, sides - everything). Aa I recall now, 10 oz filet (which was good) $62; half bottles of wine $70; martini $22. See menu on line for exact and current prices but not worth the money to me.
Good food, great service. We had a good time. Been there before and will definitely go back.
36 oz rib eye for two was 2 1/2 pounds of cow bone and about 10 oz of meat. Rip off.
The meats were so tender and juicy. We enjoyed the jumbo shrimp cocktai, oysters for appetizers. Filet minion with roasted mushrooms and gratin potatoes be sure to get the sauce flights! Excellent meal and wonderful service.
Wine, oysters and a great steak. What else do you really need to know? It is pricey but should be expected from a high end steak house. Between my wife and I, I dropped just North of $300 on dinner. I can easily lose that amount on a night of playing the craps table. If you can, give the Old Homestead a try. Highly recommended!!
Great service. Great food. Great fun.
Food is good but nothing special. You won’t go wrong but don’t be expected to be knocked off your socks either especially for the prices. I would say at the end of the day it is a solid average restaurant in terms of food and service. Seating is a bit uncomfortable and it’s very noisy.
every stay at Caesars involves a dinner at Homestead. Best 16 oz Ribeye steak on the strip! Recommend the Wedge Salad and the Baked potato as well. If you are a fish eater the Calamari appetizer is excellent.
Steaks were great
Perfect! We especially loved the rib caps!
Food was overcooked.
After having reservations we were seated quickly. We were not sure who our waiter even was because we were not checked on. After sitting for over 30 minutes a different waiter than the one who took our drink order took our food order. Overall we were there over 2 hours. We’ve been here before and loved it, however very disappointing service this time.
That was our second time at the restaurant The filet my husband had was the best ever! He didn’t even use the steak sauces though he usually does
We were celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday and Veterans Day . This steakhouse is one of my favorites. Their steaks are always cooked perfectly and tasty. Their lobster Mac and cheese is delicious. We received 10% off for being a veteran. A nice surprise. Staff was great as always
Everything was fantastic!
The food here is phenomenal and the wine list is fantastic. The staff is friendly and the support staff is very attentive.
Had reservation still took 20 minutes to seat although tables empty. Food very bland and portion size of steak very small for top tier steakhouse. Side lobster served cold as if sitting for a while. Restaurant very crowded and tightly seated. Very noisy. I will not return.
Great service. Excellent steak rib eye and filet. We’ll be back!
Very mediocre food.
The shrimp cocktail was amazing! Service is exceptional.
Service and food were amazing
Great service. Good food. What else is there to say.
Ok setting but all 4 of our steaks were cooked wrong, not even close to right temperature
Contacted by the restaurant to confirm a reservation earlier in the day and was told that we had a two hour window to have dinner . Upon arrival we waited 35 minutes for a 7:15 reservation, then waited for the food for one hour and ten minutes after that. Very crowded and loud. We’ll avoid the strip next time and go somewhere local.
Thanks for your time
Service was perfect and every part of our meal was perfectly prepared. It’s not quiet but we were able to have a decent conversation without yelling. We’ll be back.
First class steak house. Remember you are also paying for location.
It was a very busy evening . The servers were running around frantically. The food was just ok and little cold. Probably got left waiting for a server to pick it up. Normally in the past, a great experience. Not so this time. The price is high so you expect a great experience every time.
Great steak in a great location. I'm a steak snob and this place makes the cut. Excellent steak and service
The restaurant is much too loud and crowded. Even if the ribeye steak looked good, it tasted not as expected. The price wasnt worth it. The chicken was literally swimming in the sauce.
I used to love this restaurant. However, they’ve recently made changes to add more tables and reconfigured how their tables were set. It’s no longer an enjoyable place to eat. You have to scream almost to talk to the person you’re with. In addition the food quality has drastically reduced. This used to have the best filet in town. The filet on this last visit was incredibly tough. Food came out cold and people were so packed in you couldn’t hardly breathe to eat or move around.
Our server was wonderful and very attentive. Four in our group ordered steaks and they enjoyed their meals. Two ordered the shrimp scampi and both were over cooked and not very flavorful. The mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes were both good. Ambiance was only eh as we were shoved in a back corner of the room. For a one time experience it was just okay.
Always a great meal! The service is impeccable!! Your water glass in never empty we enjoyed the slab bacon appetizer which was beyond amazing . We had 2 shrimp cocktails and an order of jumbo lump crab meat cocktail. The shrimp cocktail came with three tremendous trip. We easily could have split it between the three of us. All that up with my boys which were cooked to perfection and finished up with a perfect cup of coffee and they had heavy cream for my coffee which is perfect for my keto lifestyle
Great service and food
