Old Homestead - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
A bit of East Coast steakhouse tradition is reinvented at Caesars Palace with the Las Vegas outpost of New York City landmark Old Homestead. Brothers Marc and Greg Sherry, whose family has been associated with the original Old Homestead (est. 1868) for decades, let Vegas get a taste of its fine cuts and legendary history.
Many beloved American favorites are featured here, such as applewood smoked bacon, calamari, Kobe meatballs, warm doughnut bread pudding and New York-style classic cheesecake. Ranging from the New York Strip to Porterhouse for Two, its standout are the famous cuts of meat, selected and butchered with attention to detail that made the original so famous.

Everything was great. Had the rib-eye, French onion soup, Brussel sprouts, and mashed potatoes. It was all great!
I was very disappointed with the food and the Resturant overall.. the steak was chewy.. I do not recommend this place.
Were seated immediately. Greeted right away at table. Everyone was friendly and accommodating . The food was cooked to perfection. A very enjoyable experience and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good steak.
Dinner was great!
Was my steak at Old Homestead the best steak I ever had? No, that honor goes to the Dal Rae in California. My steak was however among the best I’ve ever had. The salad and potatoes were excellent. The service was beyond exceptional, and the ambiance was sophisticated. You get the idea. When you are staying at Caesars, Old Homestead is a must.
Food was good. No bread or rolls. Thought we would share the $19 creamed spinach the four of us. Not enough for one person. Way overpriced. Would not go back.
Old Homestead used to be a favorite while in Vegas, unfortunately CoVid has killed its quality. Steaks were overdone and not a good quality. Scampi looked and tasted like shrimp cocktail that was heated up in butter. Overall not worth the premium price you pay. Pick somewhere else.
Great Steak, Fantastic Brussel Sprouts and outstanding service.
Food was excellent and service was as well. Great atmosphere to be able to get together and enjoy time with friends. The wait staff was phenomenal.
Excellent steak. The tastiest one I have ever had, tender and well seasoned.
I had the chopped salad which was greek salad it was amazing one of the best I ever had the rack of lamb chops was very tasty the truffle potato’s and asparagus also great. The cas amigos margaritas delicious and strong. Definitely recommend
The service was wonderful as well as the meal. Restaurant located in the middle of a lot of activity, so noisy. But that’s their location, nothing to do with actual restaurant
I ordered the scallops, which were okay. My husband ordered halibut. When the halibut came out, it was so overcooked and dry that our waiter sent it back to the kitchen. Second time we had the same issue. They were really prompt at attempting to correct the issue and our waiter Will was really phenomenal. However, I wouldn’t return because I don’t think their prices reflect the quality of meal you’re paying for. The most positive thing to come from our dining experience was the service by Will. I understand he can’t control issues in the kitchen, and he did his beat to try to rectify the situation.
If you love steaks, look no further than Old Homestead. I have dined here a few times, and sure it was a Saturday night so it was louder than normal, but no deal breaker. The service was great!!
The absolute best dinner that you can have in Las Vegas possible. I highly recommend it and their lobsters cooked perfectly along with their steaks. You can't eat at a better restaurant for dinner I promise best ever
Great food, impeccable service
Fiancé’s birthday and seeing Rod Stewart while at Caesar’s. Food was excellent with great service. The location was a little noisy but it’s in a casino so that comes with the turf. My biggest dislike was there is no bathroom in the resturant ot nearby. Patrons must leave the restaurant and walk across the casino by the sports book for the nearest bathroom…really crazy when you are dressed up for a high end dinner and have to fight crowds.
Absolutely the most fantastic dining experience just about ever for us. Service was over the top amazing. My wife had the Halibut and I had the pork loin. Both were exceptional. Beet salad and caesar salads were delicious. Finished with the cheese cake. Also delicious. My wife is not a cheese cake person usually but, this was great all the way around. Nice atmosphere. Pricy but worth it.
Dinner was a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding. If I was disappointed in anything it was the lack of a stricter dress code. We dressed for dinner and too many others were in t-shirts and jeans. But the staff made up for it. I had noted in my reservation that it was birthday dinner for my wife and they brought a lovely piece of chocolate and raspberry cake with a candle. It was the perfect touch. I would recommend Old Homestead to anyone.
15 year wedding anniversary
I eat here every time I'm in Vegas. I love Jose, and the bartenders Carl and Melissa.
Great meal, great service. MC
It was too noisy. Hard to communicate. Server and food were excellent.
Food was great, service was even better. Nice old-time steakhouse vibe
The service was wonderful the food delicious. I think it’s incredibly overpriced! It’s 80 bucks is the going rate for a fillet mignon I’m going to be eating home a lot.
The restaurant is very noisy, we were also sat near the server station which seem crazy since they were seating the entire restaurant.
Food was amazing. My steak was undercooked but Jose corrected it. Service was amazing. Received a complimentary dessert due to my daughter’s birthday as well as a complimentary dessert due to undercooked steak. Jumbo crab cake was absolutely delicious. Best wedge salad I have ever had!
Everything was very good, food and service was great
The food was excellent and everything came out as ordered. My only disappointment was the service. While it wasn’t bad it wasn’t up to what I would expect for this caliber of restaurant. Definitely a disappointing aspect of our visit tonight.
Best steak I have had and I eat a lot of great steak
We celebrated my birthday at Old Homestead. The ambience was classy and quiet. Our server was great. The food, however, was substantially sub par. There were three of us, and two entrees should probably have been sent back to the kitchen. One medium rare steak arrived cooked medium well and my scallops had obviously been sitting for a long time. They arrived barely warm. Also, when we requested bread for the table, we were told that the bakery was closed and there was no bread. We told the server, and later, the manger about our disappointment with the food. Both took the criticism graciously. They did score some points when they treated us to a gigantic slice of chocolate cake for my birthday. All in all, I expected superior food for the superior cost. Don’t think we’ll go back, Las Vegas has too many great restaurants to choose from.
Best food on the planet
Nothing special about this place or the food that I can see. Wedge salad was poor. Steaks were on par with other steakhouses. Nothing on menu is inventive. And way overpriced.
Lobster was over cooked. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it was also over cooked. Service wasn’t great. Felt like we weren’t a priority. $500 should’ve been used to gamble. We’re never going back.
Food has gone downhill. Prices are really ridiculous for what you get. Caesar salad total joke. A 5 yr old could have pulled the leaves off of lettuce head and put it on a plate , drizzled it with dressing and put 3 croutons on it!! Steak cooked ok but really not much flavor. Over-priced/over rated in our table of six's opinion.
Phenomenal service and excellent food!would not change anything! Lovely lovely evening
8 oz American wagyu rib cap - Best steak I’ve ever had
srimp Louie Salad was not favorable bad plating
Worst lobster bisque I ever had and love lobster bisque
like it came out of a can
was delivered to the table with skin on the top
spinach was ok
this is my first review ever but it needed to be mentioned
I don’t know what happened but I am a person who never complain about anything. I returned my appetizer couldn’t eat. Lobster was cold and chewy. I just canceled another reservation.
