Old Homestead - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
A bit of East Coast steakhouse tradition is reinvented at Caesars Palace with the Las Vegas outpost of New York City landmark Old Homestead. Brothers Marc and Greg Sherry, whose family has been associated with the original Old Homestead (est. 1868) for decades, let Vegas get a taste of its fine cuts and legendary history.
Many beloved American favorites are featured here, such as applewood smoked bacon, calamari, Kobe meatballs, warm doughnut bread pudding and New York-style classic cheesecake. Ranging from the New York Strip to Porterhouse for Two, its standout are the famous cuts of meat, selected and butchered with attention to detail that made the original so famous.

Wait staff was courteous and attentive. Good environment. The food…just not good and definitely not worth the price. There are much better choices at Caesar’s.
A steakhouse should be about the steak. Not here. We enjoyed our sides and appetizers, but when the steak came, it was NOT seasoned at all. It tasted like a charred, flavorless, lump. They claim the meat is dry-aged prime beef, but it was tough, and left a bloody puddle on the plate it was served on.
The other part of this experience I disliked was the bussers standing around. They watched us like we were planning to eat and skip out on the bill, standing over us like club bouncers. Didn’t say a word or offer to get us anything, just stood over us awkwardly. I’m not going back to this place again. If you really want a steak at Caesars, go to Amalfi.
Very nice and comfortable dining experience. The food was amazing and our waiter was superb.
Food was amazing. Pricing is what it is but total quality and servers were awesome and so appreciated. Thank you!!!
We went there to have our wedding day meal and everything about this place was great. The staff is kind and attentive and the food is amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone.
We celebrated our sons 22nd birthday and it was amazing. Staff was great, food was delicious. Highly recommend!!
The crab cake was amazing so much crab meat no filler. My mom and I had shared an American Wagyu which was cooked to perfection.
Overpriced for most meals. The Halibut was reasonably priced
Delicious salad, steak, sides, chocolate cake and cocktails
The table was very small for 6 people. We kept kicking each other under the table. The food was delicious, but way over priced.
Steak was pricey, more than a third was fat. Waiter was very nice. We were more inside the restaurant this time, which made it more intimate. I think next time at Ceasers we will try something else second time here.
The service was fantastic and the food was extraordinary.
This place was amazing. The food was excellent, the service was beyond superb. Eating at this restaurant was the exact experience we look to achieve. I highly, highly, recommend enjoying a meal here.
Waiter and food was amazing! Was had a loud obnoxious table next to us that ruined the overall experience but everything else was great!
Great food, but way to expensive!
Table for two was too small.
Rafael took great care of us. He was attentive and offered great service without being overbearing. All steakhouses are going to be expensive so we were very happy to be able to grab a reservation at a convenient time to treat ourselves to dry-aged steaks. I kinda wish the steaks came with sides as I work at an expensive steakhouse in San Diego and they do offer this pairing however I understand current prices, inflation, tourism prices, etc. the truffle fries were good but not great - they tasted a little cold and old
Great service (Roque)!, Dover Sole was amazing!!
Another outstanding meal.
Ordered rib eye steak. First time it came it was overdone (ordered medium rare). Second time it was practically raw. Flavor not great. Very expensive for the quality of food. Lobster was dry. Dessert was very good!!
Everything was great. Our server John was fantastic, very polite and the food was delicious
Amazing food! Maria the manager alongside Jose , Ignacio and the rest of the crew were amazing!
Nice restaurant, we have ordered our steaks medium and medium rare, they were cooked exactly as expected/ordered. The first few bites were excellent but the rest seemed a little dry….not sure why. Wedge salad was the best I’ve ever had. Excellent service, servers were tuned into the tables needs at all times.
The service was great and the food was delicious. We arrived late to our reservation, but we were seated immediately. My husband ordered a fillet and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I had the halibut and was very flavorful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Wedge salad outstanding.
K5 sirloin top of line was a bit disappointing considering the money. “Bacon” creamed spinach...the bacon seemed an afterthought. I was expecting more of a bacon flavor like putting sime of the bacon grease in the cream amd melding flavors but it was creamed spinach with some nicely cubed bacon on top. Cocktail excellent. Service excellent.
The potatoes were cold and the steaks were not cooked as we ordered. Service was excellent. Have eaten here many times and first time do not totally lobe it.
Overpriced menu, customer service was average at best. Drinks were not made right, I had two dirty martini and to much olive juice. my wife ordered a lemon drop martini and it was made poorly.
My experience was the soup took forever to come to the table. We were eating the soup when our main meal came out. They took it back to the kitchen but is was under a heat lamp keeping warm. The side of mashed potato was small for those prices and was supposed to be able to serve two adults. The asparagus was hard and stringy. The waiter did try to make it up to us but still paying $260.00 for two people is not something you want to pay after all this. Thanks
Food was outstanding. Disappointed in the table I received based on the fact I made my reservation 60 days in advance.
Awesome food and service
Service was excellent, all of our food was excellent EXCEPT our steaks which of course was why we were there. They were both cooked wrong and for $80 per steak that's a tragedy.
Our experience was just awful! The noise was equivalent to a Sports bar. The server was very inattentive and attempted to rush our meal. We ordered the Lobster Bisque and the Brioche loaf. The Brioche loaf came nearly 15 minutes after we completed eating our soup. The steak was cooked well but did not have much flavor for an $82 Ribeye that did not seem to be a full 16 ounces. Also, the Bacon Creamed Spinach was bland and the butter served with the baked potato was frozen. No matter how hot the potato, it will not melt frozen butter. Lastly, because we were celebrating a special occasion, the waiter provided us with a complementary Creme Brule’ and brought soup spoons for us to use versus dessert spoons. Overall, I would not dine here if you want a true Steakhouse experience; literally nearly ruined our evening.
Too loud, large loud tables. Otherwise great
Atmosphere was lovely, food horrible.
Jose, our server, was awesome. We got the dinner for 2 that included a porterhouse steak, salad, 2 sides, and dessert. Food was outstanding.
We made a reservation and were seating right away. We were given water but didn’t get our menus until 10 minutes later. Our waiter didn’t acknowledge our presence until 30 minutes later and we didn’t get our food until 45 minutes after that. After we finished our food we were given a takeaway bag about 15 minutes later, then we noticed our waiter have a 15 minute conversation with a table 5 feet away from us before he even acknowledged us a brought us our bill. Overall the service was horrible. I would not recommend eating there
Great service. Knowledgeable wait staff. Not overly salty (filet mignon) or sugary (cheesecake) . The right amount of portions.
