Nice environment, friendly waiters, drinks could be improved.
Great food and service ... music far to loud.. everyone is shouting at each other over the tables so they turn the music up even louder!! ..
Food was fairly decent pub fayre. Nothing exceptional but well presented and edible. Tomahawk steak at £60 (for 2) was low quality (tough and gristly) and overpriced. Rest of our group of 6 had decent meals - pub grub. Found drinks were also pricey - the cocktail jug which was not actually a jug but half carafe was also weak and overpriced. Staff were attentive and nice, the place was very noisy which provided atmosphere but too noisy for many including us , the acoustics are not quite right- maybe add some soft furnishings- although this may not work with industrial/ warehouse style.
We went as a special celebration and had requested a cake , but request was ignored and waiters were unaware, so don’t bother making any pre-dining requests on booking form as they are clearly not read.
Watch out for the rip off 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill, which all London eateries seem to do these days which I find annoying. Not that I mind giving a tip, but I do object in principal to having it forced on me at 12.5%
Had a really good spot to the back of the restaurant, with a great atmosphere and friendly servers. Food was really tasty, though the lamb was very fatty. The menu contains fun cocktails - including the Brave Bear, which is alcohol-soaked gummy bears served in a cocktail glass! A great evening all around!
Fantastic restaurant, food was amazing and the staff were lovely .
Would highly recommend
Considering how busy the place was the service was superb as was the food. Little cold due to full on aircon when we arrived but the waiter (great chap) sorted that immediately. Food really very good. Drinks a little pricey but well worth it.
Food service and vibe was excellent will be back x
Love the atmosphere here. Food is ok. Cocktails are nice. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are 1st class.
It was so noisy even at 5.30pm on a Friday that I couldn’t speak to my companion across the table. Very loud music and people shrieking - even a dog barking. Not pleasant to relax with a friend in that kind of atmosphere.
The marinated chicken salad was very tasty but had 3 pieces of chicken in it and we were sharing it so that made it awkward. The chargrilled vegetables were underwhelming. Sourdough bread delicious but hard to separate pieces without tearing with your hands which felt very non-Covid when sharing it. My Stay Classy drink was very tasty but promised mixed berries…I got two blueberries.
Family get together
The waiters were absolutely lovely I’ll be going back for sure! Amazing work guys x
Sadly this evening did not go to plan. One of our main courses was not cooked, which sadly spoilt the evening for us as it was my husbands birthday and we’d travelled to London especially to dine here. Staff and the manager could not have been more apologetic though, clearing both our mains away and having the the kitchen reproduce both meals. It just spoilt the evening sadly and broke the flow of the occasion. The very polite manager did state that he would apply a discount to the bill. When we first asked for the bill it was full price, and so I questioned this and the bill was represented with 50% off the entire meal. Thank you Comptons, nice touch. Just not the occasion we’d hope for this time round.
Love this place, the service, food and ambience are always delightful
Brunch was fabulous with a fabulous waiter. Super gay friendly and loved it
Once again, our dining experience at Old Compton Brasserie (OCB) was outstanding. We’ve visited this bar / restaurant over 10 times in the last few months and each time, the food and service has been excellent. Thank you to Sebastian and Christian for such a warm welcome and to the rest of the team who provide outstanding service. I love the varied menu and every meal I have had, has been delicious. On top of this, the fun atmosphere and lovely venue make OCB an all-round brilliant bar and restaurant. We’ll be again again soon! Erin x
A bit too loud with the music blaring but the food was awesome
Amazing! Such a lovely environment, food was great but the staff made the night. Guy from Hungary (sorry didn’t know name)
A absolutely lovely Brasserie, the food is amazing and tasty and served with very good waiters and amazing cocktails,.I have one request please turn down the music ,fews decibels will do.it is a very trendy place and much better than some restaurants around.
Thank you we had a very lovely evening.
Very nice place but by no means cheap, although not exceptionally expensive for Soho. Service was good/friendly if not overworked. Great smokey old fashioned & chicken burger.
Good service nice food the kept the bottomless drinks coming
Good food, buzzy ambience, nice menu and great service.

Absolute fantastic place to find, great food, great atmosphere- can not fault and will be back.
We had the 25 pound a head set menu which was very good value for money.
Lively, continental feel. Good service and food as you’d expect for the price.
A great find for a Sunday. Really enjoyed the food and the wine and cocktails were good also.
Lovely Sunday brunch with friends.
Having been before several times, we had recently booked for a group of 18 for a joint Birthday celebration. Fantastic attention to detail and so welcoming by the staff, couldn't praise them more highly. The food was excellent, and a small point but something that was noted was that all meals arrived across the tables at the same time. Was a 10/10 experience for all.
Excellent food and service, will definitely go back.
Good food and friendly staff but very noisy! Reasonable value for money and we loved the choice of cocktails
Intimidated by a party of people who apparently used to own the place. Couldn’t finish meal as the guy that used to own the place stood up and threatened us, as we polity asked their friend to stop putting her hair in our food. We were moved table to be away from them, then the restaurant manager moved them outside in our eye line where they stared us out and again intimidated us. 2 ladies that were sat next to them were also moved near us as they were aggressive towards all over customers.
Great service, brilliant value and great vibes. Fun night out.
Amazing service and drinks!! Such a lovely atmosphere, would highly recommend.
Lovely set menu for the theatre deal. The food was delicious!
