Old Chicago typically has pretty good food and a wide selection of drinks. I was trying to finish the mini tasting tour but it was the last day and they were out of most of the beers so that was very disappointing. We had a group of 6 and the service was very good.

I set a reservation for 730 and once the time came, we had to wait for seating.... I feel it should have been set up and ready at 730 due to making a reservation.. What's the point of a reservation if we're kept waiting?

We visited on a Saturday evening so I knew they would be busy. We waited for over an hour for our food to come to our table. 2 of us had sandwiches that were cold and dried out like they had been sitting around while the rest of our party's food was prepared. It even took around 45 minutes for thr kids meal to be brought out which had also been clearly sitting around. Our server was very nice and attentive.

Had a typical, nothing special, get what you expected meal at Old Chicago, but the experience using the OpenTable reservation system left a lot to be desired.

One would expect that, when making an online reservation through a service such as OpenTable - which a restaurant advertises on it's own website as the official way to do so - when you show up at the selected time, they would be ready for you. Not so in this case. We made a reservation for a party of 8 for 5:30 PM. Arrived just a couple minutes before 5:30 to a half- to three-quarters full parking lot, and about 3/4 of the tables inside full. And zero preparation for our party. I do not believe the hostess even saw our reservation until I showed up at her podium. All in all, we only ended up waiting less than 10 minutes for our table, as there were two tables free they could push together for us. But isn't that the point of making an advance reservation? So the staff has time to prepare for you and you don't just drop in with "Hi, party of 8 please?"
