Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom - Midland
Food quality was not in line with the price. No lemonade. No blender for frozen drinks. Small overpriced cocktails. No salad or bread with meals.
the food was good my bill seemed alittle pricey for 4 people and the waitress was friendly
The reception was very Un professional. I asked if a booth was available. She did not even check her chart. Just said no we have a table.
Our server was new and his inexperience showed.
The staff is very friendly and quick with service. They work with you if you have food allergies. There is a good selection of beer available.
I had the Old Chicago Chopped Salad. 11.95. Iceburg lettuce was not very fresh, some brown parts, and the toppings were not very generous for a $12 salad. Mostly (bad) lettuce and very little Chicken, bacon, or blue cheese on the salad, and I was not given enough dressing. Have you been to Big E's and gotten the $13 Cobb Salad? I suggest you order one and you will see it is enough for 2 meals. Same thing for any salad at Lucky's Steakhouse. Both are down the street from OCP. You did not get a good first impression with me.
Pizza and salads were both very tasty. Service was good. Nice beer selection.
We totally enjoyed our lunch. We ordered from the lunch special menus. The food was great. I loved my salad and my husband had a pizza and salad special. Everything was made perfectly. We had a great lunch. We were seated immediately with our open table reservation. The restaurant was busy but not over crowded.
Tried 4 times to go there now... service hasn't imporved... they still seem lost at the front door trying to seat people... and the food takes forever when they put in the right order... take even longer when they forget to order your food
The service was very slow and took over an hour to get out food with small children. Waitress was friendly
Wonderful food and had an AMAZING server! My son absolutely loved the cheese only pizza!
This is a great addition to the restaurant scene in Midland. Everything on the menu looks delicious. My husband had the Fish and Chips and I chose a Crispy Chicken salad. Both were very large portions and came out on time. We enjoyed the atmosphere and plan to go back soon. We were seated right away with our Open Table reservation. It was a great evening. Lots of large TV's around for watching as well as around the bar area for viewing.
Pizza was tastefully great and the service,
The noise level is high when the restaurant if full
That little room that we sat in waa WAY TOO LOUD. Alao I made a reservation for 8. They sat us at a 6 top. It took 50 minutes for our 1 apperizer to come out.
Jen was our server. She was great! Very friendly and attentive. I had problems with my OC Rewards card and she did everything she could to help me get it fixed. One of the best servers I have had in a long time (at any restaurant).
Overall great experience!
Maybe too new to have their act together. Would not go back anytime soon.
Service was slow. Waitress not real attentive. Had the excuse that she normally worked nights. It's the same menu for goodness sakes. Food was ok, nothing great.
Had a great first dining experience. Waiter was great-even with the kiddos. Food took a little longer to cook but it is pizza so I’m sure that’s the normal. But overall would go again in a heartbeat.
Everything was okay. Too loud for me. The pizza was well received but my husband wouldn’t order the calzone again. My shrimp was ok but more breading than shrimp and my “seasoned” fries were not.
Had a really great time. Been to Old Chicago in Denver and was extremely excited to find out we got one closer to home. The pizza is so much better than anything else in the area, doesn’t even compare. Worth checking out for any occasion.
Really couldn't determine the food value, we were there for the United Way fund raiser so all we really had was the cost of drinks and tip, food was really good, the bar keep and other attendants were very friendly, to noisy for me, I had to yell, not Buffalo Wild Wings loud, but loud. LOL. I will go back though.
Great to have a new place to go out and eat. Good selection of food at a reasonable price point. Looking forward to going back again!
Good food, good selection. Pretzone was delicious.
Two out of four meals were awful. Mac and Cheese was very dry and very small serving. Avocado Italian Salad had no Avocados and we had to ask three times for some. The Manicotti so so and very small serving. The best meal at our table was the Double Bacon Double Cheddar Burger. It was a good size burger, had lots of bacon and cheese and was served with fries. Our total bill was $55.00 and we will not be going back unless serving sizes change. It was also very loud, could hardly hear people at our own table plus waitress had a hard time hearing us.
All of the food that my party ordered was excellent. We will definitely order the italian nachos as an appetizer again too. They were light and airy unlike regular tortilla chips. I would not change a thing and can't wait to go back. The staff did a very good job as well during the soft opening. Thank you for a great time and great food!
Food was great I hope in the future they do delivery with their pizza. Highly recommend the steak and beer cheese pizza different and delicious.
We were there for the soft opening and were very impressed by the product! Loved the inside decor, food was yummy, presentation great too. Staff still working on learning the menu and beer selections
The food was good but it was a limited menu due to soft opening. Reviewed the whole menu and it looks good. Prices seem a bit high but not sure on quantity. We all had different pizzas and really enjoyed them. I guess that was a pretty good price particularly if we had shared pizzas, which we could have done. It was VERY noisy. Open "urban loft" ceiling so nothing to lessen the noise. Otherwise, nice, lean ambiance.
It took over an hour and a half for our food to arrive. It was way too noisy in there with the music so loud. After sitting at our table for about 30 minutes we were finally asked what appetizer we would like to place.
Chicago deep dish pizza was nothing like Deep dish pizza in Chicago.
Too bright. Dim those lights. Grand opening, so a little hectic
I love Old Chicago!!
Food was great. The artichoke dip and buffalo chicken roll ups were both fantastic. Nice addition to Midland.
