Welcome to the charming and historic Old Captiva House at the legendary 'Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa. Known for Captiva's Gulf-front view of America's most romantic sunset.

Inspired by our Executive Chef Greg Nelson our exciting "New Florida" menu is a colorful, wonderful exploration of award-winning island foods and flavors. Sometimes passionate. Sometimes mild. Sometimes fun. Yet all, truly great to admire and greater to enjoy — from appetizers, through entrees, to desserts.

Selection on menu was poor. If you didn’t want a fancy meal there was no options. Prices were really high. I was there in January and they had hamburgers for $18.00 which I would have been glad to pay. We ended up ordering appetizers for dinner.
Old Captiva HouseResponded 1 day agoHello BarbF, since the near Cat 5 hurricane we experienced in our area we have had to change our menus numerous times based on product availability. Our lighter fare is now available during lunch hours only or, at our Oasis Pool Bar. Old Captiva House is back to it's original menu which has always featured more upscale dinner items and creations our guests have grown to love and continue to request. We thank you for joining us, we hope to see you again.

First trip there after the storm, Facility was cleaned up very well. Menu was limited but had some good choices. Waiter forgot to mention the specials which we heard the next table order but we had already ordered. Food was good but not great like previously.

We had a wonderful meal and our server and the staff were great. So glad this place has continued to operate through such a challenging time. Paige was our server and she was attentive and mad great suggestions.

I had four meals there, actually; two breakfasts and two dinners. The food at all meals was absolutely great. And the service was excellent, three times out of four. Our waitress at dinner one night was one of the worst I've ever had to deal with anywhere. However, the waitress at dinner #2 was one of the best I've ever had (and breakfast waitress was great both times too).

Had to wait 1/2hr even though we had a reservation. We go here often and it is always quite good. Think they were overbooked

Being that we are the only full service restaurant on Captiva it can get quite busy at times but our staff is working as hard and efficiently as we can!

Freshly landscaped since Hurricane Ian, little to no damage, clean, well appointed, bright, and uncrowded. Pleasant wait staff, very reasonable pricing. Food was perfectly prepared with nice presentation. Several dining experiences here last couple years, very consistently superb.

We had dinner at Old Captiva House on New Years Eve. The menu selections were very nice. We were greeted warmly by the hostess; our server , Tony, was terrific - very knowledgeable about the menu items.. the special dessert was a chocolate bread pudding which was awesome!

Wonderful to be back! From the minute we stepped into the building, the experience was fantastic. Everyone was in such a great mood. Hannah, our waitress was terrific and Jasmine the hostess was as charming and lovely as always. The food was delicious, with something for everyone. We will be back:)

The staff at the Old Captiva House were so engaging, professional and provided excellent service. The food was outstanding for all 9 of us. The pool bar was also a delightful place to spend some time in the sun after lunch. So glad they are back open and we will definitely boat there again.

We had never been here before and were very impressed. Food and service was superb. Staff very attentive. Was a bit noisy though as we were sat next to the bar. Next time we will definitely try to sit in the front room

Went to Old Captiva House for our anniversary dinner tonight. Had drinks, roasted shrimp cocktail appetizer, salad. I had the chef special which was golden tile fish and hubby had the NY strip. We then shared crème brûlée for dessert. Our meals were fabulous and the ambiance was quiet reserved and very classy. It was a great end to a beautiful anniversary day.
