It doesn’t get any better! Beautiful sunset to top it off.
Magical night at the Old Captiva House. My only complaint was the bug bites as we sat outside. Just wear bug spray and enjoy the stars!
The food and drinks were spectacular! The service was outstanding . The atmosphere and setting were beautiful .
Very pleasant ambience, nice staff working, Good food
Breakfast was delicious! I had the Captiva house hash with shrimp sausage and my husband had the eggs Benedict...so good!! Sat out on the patio not crowded at all. Highly recommend!!
Anthony was so polished and nice .. new decor casually beautiful .. great food .. drinks and atmoaphere
Given the pandemic the restaurant was a bit above its competition but not its non pandemic 5star level. No birthday cake for a reservation birthday.
Never disappoints.
Fantastic service! The hostess remembers your name, and even the servers remember you. Very polite and clean, and just the most amazing food.
My husband and I celebrated my birthday at The Captiva House and it was perfect!! The food was delicious loved the ambiance. We actually had the room to ourselves ! Nyles was our waiter and he was excellent!! We’re going back again this week!
Outstanding place for quality food and exceptional service in a superb atmosphere! Try the Duck
Highly recommended Old Captiva House! There is likely no prettier setting on the island and the food is first rate. Sunsets are incredible.
My husbands omelet was amazing and a beautiful presentation on the plate. I was dissatisfied with my biscuits and gravy, the presentation plated looked undesirable, I was surprised it was only one biscuit instead of two. The biscuit was halved in advance, put on the plate with gravy all over it. Along the side looked like one scrambled egg instead of two. I’ve eaten some of the best biscuits and gravy and I’m sorry to say that this was less than average and along with a less than desirable presentation on a too small plate. Everything else in the restaurant was perfect.
Our server Hannah was fantastic! She paced our meal just right. The food was delicious! We would return there again.
Got attacked by no-see’ems on the patio
Enjoyed our dinner! Would liked to haves sat outside it it was too crowded!
Service was great and the food was delicious. We sat inside ( per our choice) with a nice window view. Very clean and beautiful inside.
Very nice restaurant!
Valentine’s Day brunch. Good meal, reasonably priced.
Promptly seated when arrived for reservation. Busboy and waitress very professional and helpful. Appetizer brought quickly as well as drinks. Bread was very tasty.
Entrees excellently prepared and very tasty.
Waitress came back to table multiple times to check on us.
Fantastic food and service! Would definitely go back.
Excellent as always. Got a table outside on the patio. Beautiful night and phenomenal food!
food was really good. you are paying for location, but there are no real views of the Ocean, so your location is great, but views are of the inside of the facility, while paying prices for eating across from the ocean, which you cannot see. otherwise, it was great. service and food were terrific
Outstanding place ... Lamb chops were delicious.. Everything was perfect for our evening
My wife and I went to Old Captiva House for Valentines Day. We had a great window seat to watch the sunset. All the food we ordered was fantastic and the service was great as well. I will definitely be back when I’m back in the area. The parking could be tough especially during season.
Amazing brunch! Best we’ve had in years!! The eggs Beni was to die for!
I had the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection! Great wine list, friendly staff, and great food. Definitely going back when we return!
Wonderful place. Excellent food and clientele
Wonderful meal and Eric was a great server! Will be back for sure.
Overall I was disappointed in the restaurant. One of my guests asked four times for the propane heater to be turned on but it never happened. They said they couldn’t find any propane. For a hotel...no propane? It made this restaurant a one and done. They won’t see me again.
Always very good.
Great food. The blue crab bisque is simply amazing, best ever. Only complaint, I asked for small size grouper, while it was super good, the size was exaggerated small (4 x2x2 inches).
It was a great finding. Breakfast gem of the island.
Our service was excellent, Eric took great care of us, that helped us enjoy our evening. The menu is great, hard to decide but we were all happy with our meals, cocktails and desert. It was a nice quiet night, beautiful ambiance and great service. We will definitely go again next time we are in Captavia.
The service, and food are second to none. The staff is very friendly and welcoming to all guests. I highly recommend Old Captiva House!
Delightful. Old school service. Can't wait to go back
We spent four nights at Tween Waters and found Old Captiva House to be a wonderfully convenient venue for breakfasts and dinners. The meals are well prepared and and generally attractively priced.
We loved the patio ambience of this place – comfortable with heaters available since it the weather was cool but pleasant. The lobster risotto appetizer was more than enough to share and the rolls and olive oil dipping sauce delicious. It was nice to have a choice of a small or full order on the entrees and the Chilean seabass a superb choice. We truly enjoyed celebrating our anniversary here, and would definitely dine here again on a return visit to this area.
We celebrated our anniversary here! Chef Greg and our server Eric went above and beyond to make it a very special night!
The Pompano selection was out of this world! And the lobster dinner was beyond description. We were so pleased with our server, Dana, and how we were treated. We will return here the next time we are on Captiva.
