OLA Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
OLA has always been one of our South Beach restaurants. We were surprised that they moved location, but found out the Sanctuary Hotel, home of the original restaurant, was severely damaged by the hurricane. We were very please to find out the menu is the same, excellent ceviches and main courses, and the service was just as good as the original. They have gone from a modern restaurant decor at the Sanctuary to a more casual, Latin American feel at the new location. Go, it's excellent!
Amazing amazing dinner! My husband had the Fish of the day and i had the Roast Cuban Pork and both dishes were delicious! Best pork I’ve had at a restaurant! Everything from start to finish exceeded our expectations. Restaurant had romantic outdoor patio and even on a breezy night was perfect. Service was wonderful as well.
The service and food were good, but certainly not the 4 1/2 stars assigned. The Red Snapper (whole fish) was over cooked and a bit dry. The ceviche was a tiny portion.
Overall, the restaurant was mediocre at best. I would recommend it as an average place for a meal, but nothing special.
The only way this restaurant disappointed was by serving us too quickly! Our starters even came before our drinks- In all we were finished dinner in 40 mins and when you are going out for the evening, it is much too quick.
This an excellent place, one of our favorite in Miami Beach. The food is excellent, the chef being really good and inspired by recipes and ingredients typical of south america. This is high level cuisine in a laid back, Cuban-like low key but elegant environment. Prices are very good considering the level of sophistication of the menu. I HIGHLY recommend this place...
We loved our dinner here! Ok, so the location is new... They are now at the Vintro hotel, just off of 23rd. It's lovely here. The patio is larger than before, right on a canal, the inside is also lovely. I guess they even have access to the rooftop for large parties... Very excited for the new things that the old Ola can bring to us!
So, New Year's dinner was wonderful. It was a pri fixe menu, but featured the favorites... A choice of 4 ceviches/ we chose both the Fire and Ice and Hamachi, choice of 4 appetizers, we chose the Short Rib Empanadas and Mahi tacos, choice of 4 entrees/we chose the Cuban roast pork and salmon, and choice of 2 desserts/ we had one of each.
First off, nearly all our favorites were featured, so no loss on the prifixe menu. Everything was fabulous. Super fab. Service was great. Loved sitting by the canal.... We will continue to frequently Ola and we will being friends. Love it here. Love the people. It's just great.
Photo is Hamachi, which you slide the fish over the seasoning before eating, and in the back, is Fire and Ice- such a splendid combo.
Best restaurant in South Beach, hands down! The staff is incredible, super friendly. The ceviche is to die for! They have 6-7 different ceviche selections, try them all if you can. All the dishes are super creative. My wife and I are jaded foodies, we have been to many Michelin star places this past year (Paris, London, Prague, Tokyo, etc) and OLA is as good or better than any of them.
Food was fabulous! The meatballs were a great appetizer! The pork dish was also a hit...very flavorful and tender. We ordered Da Bomb for dessert and it was amazing as well. The service was also excellent. Be sure to call the restaurant for their new address. It will always be on our list of places to dine when visiting Miami.
This was a fun place to have dinner. The ambience is great, not stuffy but not too casual. Inviting and friendly. Food was unique but not over the top. The pandebono is amazing, we had the octopus salad and ceviche and both were delicious. The churrasco did not disappoint and Da Bomb was a perfectly sweet ending to a wonderful meal.
I came from NY to Miami for my birthday and only wanted to go to Ola due to the reviews and overall experience people had and WOW!! I was blown away it was beautiful the outdoor seating had perfect lighting and great smooth music playing loud enough to hear but at a level where you can have a great conversation.
The drinks were great I had two cocktail and I am not a drinker . They were light refreshing and enjoyable. The staff were extremely helpful friendly and cheerful . Thank you for making my Birthday special Ola and staff I cant wait to come back.
