When they first opened we found this gem and then after a few more get away weekends we couldn’t remember the name. We came down last weekend and we’re lucky enough to found this wonderful restaurant again! It will now always be on our radar when we visit our favorite getaway town! The best sushi in town. Everyone has always been so wonderful! Thank you 💗
The best sushi restaurant in the desert I would recommend it to anyone.
Beyond noisy. After food order taken it took 40 minutes to get the food from the kitchen. Our waiter, Adam, tried to stay away from our table since he knew we had waited so long for our food. Never again for us.
Enjoyed it very much!
Always good every time
Best True Japanese in our area and we'll worth the drive if you live a distance away. Always fresh fish with wide array of total goodness. I garantee you'll want to come back! The staff is fabulous and so charming and knowledgeable so give it a try, you won't regret it.
Really special food and service. We will be back! This restaurant was recommended to us a part of a weekend wedding celebration. It is just a special place with great food. Our server, Hiroko, couldn't have been better or more efficient. The manager and floor managers made sure that everyone had a perfect experience. Great recommendation!
Although they forgot to check me in upon arrival for my reservation, (which lead to OpenTable sending me a “no-show” email, which was easily cleared up), and the fact that as soon as we paused from ordering, the check was given to us without asking if there was anything else we wanted to order, the sushi was excellent!
This was our second visit and we loved the salmon, bbq pork ribs, spider roll and California roll. We love Okura.
While the service was outstanding, I was somewhat disappointed with the food. Our Tiger roll was mushy, not spicy as noted on the menu. The mussels we very tough and small and not at all what I would expect. The atmosphere is vibrant, the interior was a pleasant surprise as the exterior lacks appeal. It looks much like a corner strip mall take out restaurant. Overall the bill was $175 for 2 persons and we did not order main courses, only apps! So I felt it was overpriced.
This was our second time and the food was terrific and portions were big will definitely return
Awesome place. It just keeps getting better. Been coming here since it opened.
Food never disappoints!
We eat here often and normally have a good experience. This visit was different. It took over 45 minutes for our first rolls. During that time no one checked on us or explained why our food was taking so long. Others who came in after us were getting their food while we waited. Needless to say, we did not order more rolls but would have if we had not experienced this difficulty.
Amazing food as always. Very creative sushi rolls and delicious tempura!
Best sushi in the desert! I go for their yellowtail collar that is absolutely delicious! All their food is delicious! We went two times in the last few weeks and the service was excellent! A must try & love like we do!
Our favorite sushi spot in the desert. Save your appetite for dinner and try the all you can eat menu. Outstanding value. We were there Saturday night at 7.30 and the restaurant was packed with a line of people who had not made reservations waiting as long as 45 mins. We were seated within 5 mins of our reservation time and, despite the crowd, the service was prompt and the food delicious.
Great experience as always! Thank you!
This was our first visit to this restaurant. A bit noisy, and we were seated right near the kitchen in and out door, but the food was delicious. All three of us enjoyed the meal very much. The service was really good from the door to the bill.
Our family loves Okura! We get together there several times a month. The food is fabulous, the service is great and the staff is friendly and courteous. The ambiance is so inviting. We will keep Okura on the top as our "favorite place to dine".
Really good food great place to share food and eat and talk!
Once again, an outstanding meal! Our server was very knowledgeable. One of our favorite places!
Always great food!
We had an early reservation, when we arrived the Reaturant Smelled like the bathroom, or they needed to call roto rooter.
Service we just ok as usual, food was great as usual.
Will be back for sure, maybe everyone needs to flush twice in the mean time.
Over the years the food has never disappointed but be prepared to be greeted indifferently by the young Hostess who won't even look at you while speaking and makes it seem she hates her job. Service has been getting progressively worse, we watched our sushi sit for 10 minutes at the sushi bar only to be brought to the service station and sit some more and this was after a 45 minute wait.
Our waitres, Kelly, was very attentive. Kept checking with us.
We go to Okura Sushi frequently and usually love it. It was New Year’s Eve and they were slammed. We love the rock shrimp but it was terrible that night so was the tempura. Way over cooked. The seabass was wonderful. We will be back!
Enjoyed a New Years Eve dinner with our son and two of his friends. Seated quickly, served promptly, unusual sushi and Japanese selections. Didn't care for tall bar stool seating in my section and noise level was annoying but hey, it's New Years eve after all.
Everything was great except for the fact that we had a reservation for 8pm and still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. There were also spots available at the bar but we weren’t made aware of them or told we could sit there instead of waiting for a table, which we would have if given the option.
