Okura Robata Grill and Sushi Bar - La Quinta Ratings and Reviews
This was our third visit. The first two were for happy hour and we loved it. This time we sat in the restaurant dining room to celebrate my husband's birthday. This is our new favorite Japanese restaurant. The garlic edamame is unique in that it is loaded with garlic and sauce. Very tasty and not like the usual edamame in other places. We love the Agadashi tofu in broth. You would never believe you're eating tofu. We then had the softshell crab - TO DIE FOR!! We share the black cod and it was wonderful. Our server, Kelly, was terrific as was all the servers in attendance. She was fun, helpful and made excellent suggestions. You will not be disappointed in this restaurant.
My friend and I decided to try the All You Can Eat sushi option. At $36 per person it is a little more pricey than some of the AYCE options at other local sushi restaurants. The sushi was great though and although the restaurant was packed, the food came out pretty quickly. Our waitress was also friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience!
Love, love, love this place! We always make a point of eating there when we are in the desert. My partner does major damage with the AYCE menu and the servers and Jay (the owner) could not be more cheerful about it...particularly Jay, who recommended other things we had yet to try! Great Lychee martinis too. Even on Saturday night, when the restaurant was packed because of Labor Day visitors, the service was fast and friendly
Always fresh and always delicious. Great all you can eat menu. We love the steak, salmon, and hamachi carpaccio. The martini's pour is generous too! We love the server Darnell too! He always takes great care of us and goes above and beyond just doing his job!
The food here is just incredible. We love sushi, and this is our favorite place. We always order the Marilyn Monroe roll, the Madonna roll, the Hamachi Carpaccio and plenty of sashimi (the salmon is particularly delicious). Great atmosphere and fabulous service, too. Enjoy!
Always delicious and wonderful! We love the food here, especially the hamachi carpaccio, the Madonna roll, the Marilyn Monroe roll and the sashimi. Everything is so fresh and the preparations fabulous. I just brought in a friend from L.A./New York, who said it was some of the best sushi she's ever had. Quite the gem in the desert!
