Absolutely the best sushi in town! Okura does a great job with outdoor dining. Great experience and excellent sushi. We will be back.
Beautiful restaurant inside and out we ordered 2 mango rolls and sashimi very delicious my only problem is the service our waitress Yuliana only came to take our food order and to give us a check their wasn’t really any service that she gave us. We had to ask the bussers and the runner to bring us everything we needed no one really asked how our meal was either. Tonight’s dinner was pretty much like okay what’s your order here you go bye! I still tipped but I’m sorry tonight’s service was pretty bad. Maybe some training is needed?
Great rolls and great drinks. Love the location but the tables are way too close for feeling comfortable. We will return after Covid.
Dining at Okura is always a treat.....I have never had anything but great food and service here. We dined on the patio, were comfortable with the table spacing and had a delightful evening.
Usually make a visit here when we’re in town as the sushi is good.
However, I was quite surprised by the almost complete disregard for appropriate spacing during this time, especially when there’s such a concern within the community! Would consider another establishment over this one for safety reasons and come back when this is all over!
The food was fabulous, as usual. It was my 1st time dining out since Covid and it was a wonderful experience. Masks were worn by the staff and all rules followed. Can’t wait to go again !!!
Great food and attentive service. Priced at the level of any very good Japanese restaurant. Ambiance was compromised because of limitation of outside dining only but they do a fabulous job of making the best of difficult times.
Food was absolutely amazing! Soft shell crab particularly delectable! A bit noisy because we were seated next to the fountain but it helped to block the road noise. Patio is lovely overall.
We've been going to Okura for a number of years at the prior location and lucky they have the patio at the new location.
Great food. Poor Hanny was running around like crazy. She needed more help. The service was a little slow - not because of her, but because she had no help. She was great.
We had happy hour. Food was very good the portions average.
Restaurant is lovely but the food and service were only good. I ordered hot sake, miso soup and sushi. The sake was warm not hot. The sushi arrived but no miso soup. The waitress had forgotten it.
The maguro was very good. The tako was good, but the saba and tai were mediocre.
Invited family from San Diego. Sat in the patio. Cozy but a bit noisy. Food delicious especially sashimi sampler and rolls. Service by Ilyana perfect. Jay always a friendly and gracious owner.
Because of covid we sat in the patio and it was very nice.
Large portions, great value for the price. Delicious all around. Little noisy on the back patio but overall nice ambiance.
Very wonderful food, very loud and energetic customers, wonderful waitstaff.
This restaurant never disappoints
Okura has several patios and we were located in the one off Hwy 111. While there is no roof, high walls surrounded us which made the patio very loud.
Food was very good and beautifully presented. It is too bad that we can't yet dine-in due to COVID-19 restrictions, the remodel is beautiful and I look forward to returning when we can dine-in.
I like this restaurant and frequently eat there. This time I had a bad experience. The waitress dropped chicken skewers on my guest's silk blouse. It was an accident and the server felt terrible. She said she would obtain another entry'. We waited >30 min before it appeared as the restaurant was busy and I assume our replacement went to the last spot in the awaiting orders. By the time it came, we boxed it up and took it home as everybody else had long since finished their meal. The server apologized but made no concession on the bill. I inquired for the owner but she had gone home. We left distinctly unsatisfied
First time ever we returned the food to the kitchen, after a 1 hr 15 m wait, and left. We even explained to the owner that our food was not coming and all the tables around us that came way after us were served, including a large party that was served appetizers and main courses. After assuring us that she would personally inquire the owner never returned, not even to offer an apology. Another 20 mins went by. Same with the manager. So, after feeling insulted and not valued we did what we never did before, reject the food and leave.
After much anticipation from the raving reviews our experience was just awful. We do not feel like ever wanting to return to a restaurant that does not value and respect its customers. There are many other restaurants where service excels. To be fair, the appetizer was tasty, but the patio ambience was average, noisy, and clearly Covid distance between tables was not observed, with chairs between tables touching each other. NOT EVER COMING BACK!!!
I felt the tables on the patio were a bit too close. The service was excellent.
This is the greatest sushi restaurant ever. Excellent rolls that no one else has and great sauces. You can take non-sushi eaters here because they also have great cooked food from their robato grill as well a several other cooked items such as black cod which is excellent. Their full bar serves up terrific cocktails. Lastly, their deserts are beautiful and tasty and most sushi restaurants don't even have deserts. You can't go wrong dining here.
Very poor service, however, the food was great.
Always a pleasure dining here. Food is consistent and delicious. Staff is amazing from the moment you walk in the door. Highly recommend for the freshest sushi in town.
The food was delicious! The service was a bit slow to me, but it did appear busy on the patio. It was hard to hear each other speak a bit, but besides that it was good.
We love this place. You have to sit outside right now. You don’t have any choice during the pandemic. But they have a nice area. It’s a little noisy because of some street traffic but it’s still very nice. They do a good job and the food is always wonderful.
Seated next to parking lot...loud and too exhaust-y. 😕
Beautiful space, great menu and the food is delicious! We will definitely be back.
We started by sharing tempura, then we had the salmon bento box, the beef bento box, and a panko breaded chicken dish. All were great, as were the cocktails.
I found a hair on one of the entrees I ordered
What a outstanding meal. Service was out of this world... Must place to visit
Considering only outside siting it was very nice. I can tell under normal circumstances the obedience would be great. The food was really at a good value. My only problem was my waitress. She didn’t know anything bout the menu, she wasn’t Intentive and didn’t checked on me and my fiancé enough. They kinda rushed us out and it was for her birthday. It made it a little less special
Fantastic loved every bite
Back patio seating is very comfortable, intimate and in between moderate and quiet as far as noise goes.
Get the shrimp stuffed jalapeños for an appetizer. Its so damn good!
We go out there for a golf weekend once or twice a year. We look forward to dinner here more than the golf. Always awesome.
Beautiful restaurant and everything was wonderful!!
Everything was good at this restaurant can’t complain! Food ambience and everything spot on!
Celebrated our anniversary here. Had a great night. Service, food, ambiance and cleanliness was 5 star. We are locals and will be back regularly!
