Sushi Lunch Platter
Always love the food. This time we surprised by a neighboring table overhearing my daughter was an RN. When it came time to checkout, she had paid our tab. Wonderful food, wonderful customers, wonderful staff.
It was great to see the restaurant busy, noisy and thriving.
My wife and I had one of the best dining experiences we've ever had at this restaurant. We celebrated our anniversary by ordering an omakase (Chef Selection) and it was one of the best fine dining experiences we have ever had. I couldn't have had a better experience.
Incredible as always!
Celebrating a new job
We had a great meal and a great time. It’s a really good neighborhood spot with a surprisingly good wine and sake list. We brought our 6-year-old daughter for a special date, and they gave us the table right next to the aquarium. She was entertained the entire time! They play fun music and have friendly if busy service and good food. The Royce roll is a must. We always sub any artificial crab for real crab for an extra charge which is always worth it.
Best Sushi in Dallas hands down. Always the freshest and most unique rolls.
Great food in a smaller, busy spot. Service very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant was locked once we arrived. There were 3 other parties that had also booked on OpenTable and were upset as well. Very disappointed.
We were celebrating my son’s 11th birthday at his favorite sushi place. We came earlier at 530 so it wasn’t too busy yet and good time for families with kids. Our server was awesome and even brought out birthday mochi for him with candles. Sushi was fresh and delicious as always. Tried donut roll for first time and highly recommend.
Perhaps, the most personable manager in Dallas. I wish I had asked for his name to give him due credit. Staff were all sharp/efficient and friendly. I ordered way too much. The very friendly staff (jokingly of course) offered to help me eat it. Only negative was that we waited so long to try it out.
Always fresh, amazing & consistent.
Poor service. Never came back to ask if we wanted another drink. Sushi was nothing compared to Shinsei.
The manager or owner was a lil short with us at the host stand. They seem to be very confused about our reservation. The server was very nice and good. All the food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. This is one of our favorite place will definitely go back
Daniel was an amazing attentive server. The food was awesome.
Food was great like always! Service started great until the end, not sure if the server was trying to his stuff and leave or what happened, finished my drink mid meal and never got offered a other one, at the end we literally had to flag him because he never made it back to the table after the last roll was delivered. Guess if you want good service don't go after 9.
Great dinner with great service!
Even with Open Table confirmation they did not have my reservation. Slow seating, extremely slow service, food was OK. Took my temperature 4 times at hostess stand. Totally disorganized. Overall food good, people very disappointing. We like the SMU location but will not go back to this location. If it weren’t for food would be 1 Star.
Amazingly fresh sushi and great options for riceless rolls
Best sushi experience in Dallas with the best sushi chef in Thahn. So many unique creations, excellent prices, good bar selections, and a great atmosphere. Kids will love it as it was the first sushi my girls had at a young age and they still compare everything to Thahn's creations. This is the go-to restaurant in my house.
Amazing food and service. Highly recommend.
Waiting well over an hour and received no reason why. Poor management and poor leadership. Great food though.
Incredibly friendly manager that makes you feel at home! All the food is heavenly. Albacore is like butter, the tuna watermelon salad is refreshing, but the star was by far the seared scallop with truffle oil...
We will absolutely be back.
We had a great experience. It is my favorite sushi restaurant. They are always busy, but once we were seated, our food came out really fast. Always love Oishii!
Best sushi in Dallas! We'll definitely be back!!!
We had reservations and they sat a walk in table before us and as we were being seated at the sushi bar 2 other guys sat in our spot and they claimed "oh they are regulars". When we told the Host/Manager he made some excuse and said we were welcome to wait longer for a better table. We were sat a a make shift table i the bar area where it was cold. Service was very good as well as the food but the hostess staff really needs to treat people better and not seat "regulars" with no reservations before people we do have them.
This place is the best. The food and drinks are just incredible for the price. Casual but can be elevated dinner as well
I’ve been a customer for 17 years and have never been disappointed. They treat you like family. It’s not just about great food, but great people!
Awesome sushi and great service!
Food was delicious but be prepared to wait an hour and half for your appetizer. Service was mediocre.
Always great food. Service can be slow on the weekends.
The sushi and service is outstanding!
Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere.
Great food, pointless making a reservation. Third time I have come here with a reservation and still had to wait a really long time for a table in an uncomfortably small waiting area. This last time was an hour wait for a table with a reservation, walk ins and people with reservations after mine were seated first (we know that for a fact because the waiting area is tiny and we could hear everything people were saying when they came in). We were only seated once we complained and were visibly angry. There is no organization or system with host stand whatsoever. Just don’t go on weekends and you should be fine.
Loved the sushi rolls that were different than other local sushi places. My first time visiting and certainly won’t be my last!
First time trying Oishii and my friend and I absolutely loved it. They have great prices lots of food items to choose from and the food is delicious. I was looking for a sushi spot for my friend bday near uptown area and the menus I found did not compare to Oishii the variety of food and pricing is why I choose them. We had a wonderful experience and we will definitely become regulars. Food 5 stars Service 5 Stars Ambiance 5 Stars.
really enjoyed our dinner at Oishii Sushi! highly recommend
Favorite sushi restaurant in Dallas
we had a reservation and still had to wait 45 minutes for our table. They weren’t following covid measures they were completely overbooked and had tons of people hovering around the bar as they waited for their tables
Outstanding experience! I hadn’t been back to Oishii since they first opened, but it will be my go-to spot from now on. Our server, Gabriel, was friendly, right on time, and gave us perfect suggestions for what we wanted. The flower roll and the Royce roll were divine! The GM, Fabian, stopped by to check on us and ensure everything was perfect. The restaurant was following all precautions and was super clean. I didn’t have any hesitation eating or feeling comfortable. Overall, they provided a safe, chic, and delicious evening.
Simply SUBERB! Driving into the parking lot can be a little surprising as this gem of a place is located in an interestingly low key area. But you walk in, and the element of surprise is even more. Very well done up place and pretty much packed. The service is great and the food outstanding.
