Oishii - Plano
The service was awful ! Took 20 min to get a drink from the bar, food came out wrong, it was EXTREMELY noisy, so bad you nearly had to yell at one another. It’s very expensive yet not great. Would never recommend
We are so excited Oishii is now in Plano! Great service and delicious sushi. We will be back soon!
Perfect as always.
Amazing sushi. Fresh, creative and creative.
I always love the food at Oishii, so we were excited to try this new location in Plano. The food was still very good, but our group of 10 seemed to overwhelm our server. It took about 45 minutes to figure out our bill.
Amazing food and service!
Despite having a reservation for my 50th birthday dinner, we were seated at the bar. Management refused to move us to a table, despite a completely empty dining room. Management told us that tables were for larger parties, even though the reservation was for a standard table, and argued with me for a few minutes, claiming that standard table meant first available only. A waitress ended up seating us at a small table, because I decided I did not want to balance my purse on my knee at the crowed bar, and have close proximity to other customers during a pandemic, and was getting up to leave at the table. Another waitress was our table waitress. Waitress forgot certain items and claimed we did not order them, but delivered items out of order, and one of the items (wonton soup) smelled very best, and inedible. When I mentioned to the waitress, she just rolled her eyes. Expensive meal for bad service, bad seating, and bad attitude, as dinner for two was $125 with the 15% tip. It was an unpleasant meal for what was supposed to be a special evening. I won't return to this location.
The food was fantastic, the best restaurant in Dallas.
We were disappointed that two of our requested dishes were not available. Overall food and service were good. I do recommend.
I had high expectations for this restaurant and totally failed. I know they recently opened this location and therefore,I am willing to give it another try in few months. I Most restaurants don’t have it together that soon.
We enjoyed few of the dishes like the calamari, dragon roll, chef’s special roll (warning it is very spicy). Cajun and Spider rolls were bland. Again, I’ll check this place again in few months from now.
Sushi rolls are am amazing work of art. Every roll tasted difference and very good. But, I think rolls and other dishes are small and overpriced. Still loves the food, but very expensive.
Excellent, excellent food.
The location (retail footprint) was underwhelming. Because of the quality of the food and high prices, this restaurant should be at Shops of Legacy, Shops of Legacy West or The Star. If I'm going to spend this kind of money, I want to feel like I'm out on a date night, not like at a retail location similar to a grocery store feel.
Oishii has the best sushi you will find in DFW, hands down. Thoughtfully created rolls with unique ingredients! I recommend the Tribeca, Royce, flower and oishii rolls.
The noise level was very loud at the restaurant. My husband and I were almost yelling to hear each other. The music is blasting, and the tables are so close together you can’t help but hear the entire conversation of the table next to you.
This would be a better spot to pick the sushi up and take it home.
The sushi part was really flavorful but the warm food was just mediocre. The tables are place so close to one another. The ambiance is just ok, nothing special for the price of food! Wish it was swankier! But then Wycliff location is just ok ambiance too.
The sushi was delish per usual. However… the service was awful. We waited over an hour for our food and didn’t even receive an apology. Even getting our drinks was a task. I won’t go back anytime soon which is unfortunate because this location is much closer.
So happy to see this long-standing favorite in Plano!
Incredible food and service. The drinks were also amazing. Wish the atmosphere was a bit nicer. Chairs were uncomfortable and tables were too close together. They need a bigger space because once the word is out about this location it will be packed all the time.
Outstanding sushi and cooked dishes! Great service too!
Love there is now another location in the burbs! The food and service is on par with their original restaurant. Excellent experience!
