   A really pleasant authentic experience. The food and service was good and the range of Sake, Japanese Whiskey and other Japanese drinks was exceptional

   The food is fantastic. Though lengthy wait times and some things are not brought out in order or just extremely late. I had to prompt a check up a few times to see where things were, we received our melted cheese plate after our food was long finished so had to order more to use the cheese. With a $500 bill you would think they would pay more attention to finer details though they can definitely improve and make this a wonderful allround dining experience.

It is in our best interest to improve our service in order to deliver a great experience to our guests. We acknowledge that the dishes don’t come in order, once we are an izakaya and the food comes out as is ready. However, we can always do our best to accommodate any request and our apologies if there was not the case. Hopefully, it was a one off situation and next time we will do better.    Great staff who handled a red wine spill and broken glass extremely well. Replaced a spoiled dish without asking. We will always come back.

   Expensive and the quality of food was poor. All dishes were dumped on the table within 15 minutes, before we’d even had gotten a drink.

   Unfortunately just not worth the money. Our food came out really quick, which makes you think everything was pre made and that is exactly how it tasted. We got the sushi tacos and the taco was stale. All the food, was just average and certainly not the quality you pay for. We won’t be back.

   Thanks for your feedback Hannah, it is always appreciated. We can see that your booking was early evening (530pm). Usually, the food comes pretty quick on our first sitting, especially on the weekends when we are well staffed and not so busy. As we are an Izakaya, our food comes as it is ready. However, our wait staff is able to communicate with the chefs and ask them to slow down, if requested, in order to accommodate our guests. We apologise if the quality of our food was not what you expected. We guarantee that our food is freshly cooked. However, mistakes can happen and we are open to any critics to keep improving.

   Went here to celebrate my birthday with the girls and the service was amazing, food 10/10 and arrived quickly. they make amazing cocktails i will definitely be coming back thank you

    I think this venue is overpriced. The location is very poor - in an alley way leading to a Woolworths supermarket. The table for two was so tiny, there was hardly any room for the three first courses of the banquet which were served pretty much at the same time. The service started off great but it was non existent towards the end. Our table was not cleared up for 30 minutes after we finished, while we hoped someone would come with a dessert menu. I had to ask for the dessert menu - ordered Macha cheesecake and ice cream - you would think that they will be already prepared in fridge/freezer. I had to follow up the waiter for our desserts, and he came back saying it was going to be another five minutes, by this time we were there for 2 1/2 hours (our sitting was only supposed to be for 2 hours). We asked for our desserts to take them home - we could not be bothered having our desert on a small table for two loaded with empty plates. Definitely would not recommend or go again. Plenty of better eating options around.

    Hi Maryann Thanks for the feedback we appreciate all the points we can learn from, regarding service especially and your experience. We wish you happier experiences dining everywhere you go in the future :) The only point we feel we need to make in our defence (the other points sound like we just didn't do a good enough job) - we are a "laneway izakaya". It's on our website and all our marketing - when you book a table online it's clearly explained. So for the location - we cannot apologise
