Was nice until the end. Waiter forgot our espresso. Tools almost 20 mins until after dessert. The drinks were wrong on our check and then we were given someone else’s check. They had to rerun my card and fix our check to reflect the right drinks. We were being charged $40 per drink when it should have been $25 a glass.

Had dinner with my wife and children. Overall experience was very nice food was amazing large portions, great staff. Also met the owner Gary Melius who stopped by our table and introduced himself. I highly recommend the restaurant for any special occasions or just to have a beautiful day out.

Dining here was a long desired experience and we were so excited to spend the evening in this historically gorgeous location. We definitely expected a more upscale feel and was a bit surprised by the noisy atmosphere. The food, while delicious, was overpriced, in our opinion, especially the porterhouse special which shocked us at $125! Being it was a special and not on the menu it didn’t occur to us to ask the price (our mistake) but never did we expect it to be nearly double the rib eye on the menu! Wow! It was prepared perfectly and was flavorful - as was the shrimp risotto - but neither dish provided such an outstanding culinary experience that we would be inclined to return here any time soon. Overall a nice night out celebrating our anniversary but definitely not an experience that lived up to our expectations.

The magnificent atmosphere is what makes this experience. The food was fine but nothing special at all. The service was amateurish for this type of a place. I’ve been here before some years back for dinner and drinks and it was much different.

The entrance to the elevator was behind some doors and there was a really bad smell over there. The restaurant was really loud, and our servant was trying to rush us into drinking so he can keep charging us more drinks. It claims its an italian restaurant but they dont even ask for parmesan or black pepper while theyre serving the pasta. Overall if you really want to try you can go for once but i would not go again for dinner specifically, maybe for the tour of the castle.

The OHK Bar & Restaurant is an absolutely extraordinary and elegant restaurant that is based at the Oheka Castle, an amazing luxurious hotel located in North Shore Long Island. During our weekend stay at Oheka Castle in March of 2023, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at the OHK Bar & Restaurant to celebrate our Happy Five Year Anniversary!!! Both my wife and I were graciously welcomed and warmly treated by restaurant’s staff and our server, Kim did a great job on taking our orders, addressing our inquiries and making sure that our meals were served in a timely fashion. Both my wife and I found our meals to be superbly seasoned, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious!!! In addition to the great meal and service, my wife and I had the great fortune of meeting with Gary Melius, the owner of Oheka Castle. Mr Melius was kind enough to drop by our table, extend us a warm and thoughtful welcome, verified that our needs were met and wished us a wonderful Happy Anniversary!!! Both my wife and I would love to thank Mr. Melius for his kindness and superb hospitality and also thank OHK Bar & Restaurant for providing us with a fabulous dining experience!!!

Food was great as always!! The chefs chicken consume’ sample was awesome!! It should be available to purchase as a soup it’s so delicious. Service was excellent. We were seated in a semi private room with a great view of the lawn. It was nice to see Gary the owner and that he’s doing well. Thank you!!

I can’t begin to express how incredible my experience was at OHK. My girlfriend and I celebrated our third Valentine’s Day together here, and it turned out to be one for the books. Every element of dining here was elite; from the romantic ambience, to the delicious cocktails and phenomenal menu, it’s hard to come up with the words to describe how truly pleasant of a date my lady and I had here. There is no question that we’ll be returning.

Came for an early Valentine’s Day with two kids (7 and 3 years old). Food was excellent, and we loved that they had a children’s menu. Gary the owner even came over, and was the sweetest to them both. Will definitely be back.

If you haven’t been here before I suggest you do the tour of the castle before dining. Also I would recommend warm weather dining so you can see the grounds. The food was excellent. Service was great. Fun overall experience.
