I have been here a few times before with a dining group. This time, through OpenTable, i took a friend out for her birthday here. The one remarkable thing i enjoy eating is the crab cakes. It is not fried. I usually order two one one plate as my entree. The desserts were decent. I am biased since i am a good baker. The lobster meatballs were a quality item, though pricey compared to other places. It was well worth it. The owner, Gary Melis, came around to greet all the diners. Not the first time I have met him. He is a gracious, gregarious, amiable owner. He is fun to talk with.
So, if you are interested in good food and want to class it up a bit, get your car washed, put on your best suit and take your lady out to Oheka Castle.
The food and service were impeccable! Even my 11 and 5 year old were impressed. My husband and I can not wait to go back and stay for a few days!
Restaurant was beautiful and the staff was attentive and friendly. The menu was extensive and great food. Wine selection was also excellent. Definitely recommend.
I loved OHEKA bar and restaurant. Our server, MJ was delightful and extremely helpful. The ambiance was beautiful and best of all extremely quiet. The noise level was exceptionally low which I enjoy. I am most certainly looking forward to returning to OHEKA for another dinner. If you bring a date the whole experience of driving through the gates of the castle on the impressive approach is quite romantic. I promise you will enjoy.
Fairy tale setting. Owner welcomes you at your table. A hidd n gem on the island. Don’t tell too many people. Want to make sure there is a table available for us.
Down memory lane since my son got married here. Very special & always will be.
The food was incredible and the service was exceptional. Great place for a special occasion.
Castle, different. owners very engaged. food was ok.
I had lunch at the castle this week with my wife and four friends. We each had a glass of wine and shared three appetizers. Everyone enjoyed the sandwiches they ordered. The service was excellent. The noise level was very low and we shared great conversations. The Oheka Castle is an amazing piece of Long Island’s Gold Coast history. I highly recommend a visit.
Went on New Years day. Wonderful way to start the New Year. My family and I enjoyed it.
