OHEKA Bar & Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The food was phenomenal. However, I was a bit disappointed. I had made a reservation for our anniversary and nothing was acknowledged. I had also called to make a note that I had a severe food allergy, and that also was not addressed until I had asked about it. The ambiance is very nice, and it's a nice intimate place.
Had lunch with my 2 girlfriends. The atmosphere is terrific, our waitress was very nice and we all loved our lunch. I had the grilled chicken panini which came with fries. The prices are just slightly higher (not much higher) than other places that serve sandwiches, salads or burgers but it's well worth it. I've had lunch here several times before and during the warm seasons, it's spectacular when you get a table outside and are able to see the grounds.
The castle is amazing. We go every year on our anniversary and we take the family for the holidays. Great location to feel like you are away. Yet close to home. We always stay overnight BUT I would recommend you stay during the week. This stay we experienced a lot of loud noisy drunk wedding guests. They kept us awake all night. Not fun. I wish they would change the menu we have been coming since 2011 and the menu has not changed much.
The Oheka Castle is a National Gem and the Restaurant & Bar do an excellent job conveying that to the patrons. I walk around the estate after having lunch or dinner is a must for every visitor. Thanks for the fine lunch on Sunday to celebrate my wife's birthday!
Another special occasion at Oheka Bar and Restaurant. It was a very quiet evening in the restaurant, but there was a charity event in another part of the castle. We met at the bar for a glass of wine. The sun hadn't set yet, so we had a nice view of the gardens. The staff was accommodating and there was a nice selection of wines by the glass.
When we were seated at our table, the server presented bread with an amazing gorgonzola sauce. Appetizers chicken and waffles, and short rib sliders were hits. For entrees, Adobo Pork, chicken and filet mignon, also highly recommended. The shrimp and lobster dish was a miss, too much sauce.
We all thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to returning.
After the tour of the castle, I went to eat at the restaurant with my mom and aunt. The staff was wonderful and attentive. The food and drink choices were so plentiful that it was hard to decide what to have! The decor was welcoming. The whole experience was great! I would recommend both the tour and the restaurant for any occasion.
Just a little get away for a few days. This place is Absolutely Amazing. Everything is wonderful in every way . Exquisite grounds. Valet guys are so warm and friendly. We got to meet the owner who greeted us with such warmth and kindness. The food also Amazing. Most definitely get the crab cake. It's the Best crab cake ever! I could go on and on. You can not go wrong coming here.
Well it is a castle, so the bar is set pretty high walking in the door. They do not disappoint. The ambiance is wonderful, lovely outdoor area or very comfortable indoors with nice views of the castle grounds. The food is just perfect. We shard the lobster meatball appetizer, and who even offers that dish! It was delicious, and had a great sauce. Bread is served with a cheese fondue that is also different and very tasty. We had the crab and corn chowder, great, and the main course of short ribs was superb. Too full for desert, but very tempting. Well worth the trip and surprisingly easy to get a reservation on a lovely Sunday evening. A real hidden treasure not to be missed.
I don't usually take the time out to write reviews, but I had such a positive experience at the OHEKA restaurant, I have to share my experience. It was my daughters 25th birthday and I wanted it to be a special evening for the family. I did a google search and OHEKA was number 1. I expected the ambiance to be special and it was above and beyond. The food was exceptional from the appetizers to the main meal and the birthday dessert. The wait staff and the owner was very personable and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or just a fancy night out for a good meal.
I had a birthday luncheon here and the food was spectacular. The prices are completely comparable to other restaurants but the view is priceless. They sat us outside ( as we requested ) and we were the only table outside (it had rained in the morning but by afternoon it was nice) and the service was a little slow since we were the only table outside. However, when you went in to ask for service they were extremely friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful place and great location, service was great but the food wasn’t what I expected. I ordered beets salad and I got mix greens with tiny piece of goat cheese and some beets. Make it smaller portions but rich presentation, more beets and cheese and less greens, much less. But overall was great! Thank you for your hospitality!
