Once again an excellent dinner in an exquisite setting! Jason is the best!
We chose Oheka to spend our 44th anniversary dinner. We have dined here for lunch and dinner many times and never ever disappointed. We brought another couple who have never dined here. We were seated in the Charlie Chaplin room which is away from the restaurant but room overlooks the gardens. The seafood, veal, steak, salad were all deliciously prepared and perfectly seasoned. They never rush you or disturb you but the servers are always visable if you need anything. Try the desserts as they are definitely satisfying! Thank you again for our wonderful memories here.
Great experience overall. Food was amazing. Very relaxed yet one of a kind. Calming dinner music. Great for special occasions and just enjoying wonderful company. Every dollar is worth it ! I will definitely be back.
WOW! I took my girlfriend on our first date to eat at Oheka and now it’s our tradition 3 years running. Next year we will go as husband and wife! We might even spend the night.
Beautiful location with friendly staff and wonderful food. The entire experience made for a wonderful anniversary dinner.
My friends and I lingered quite long after lunch and we never felt rushed to leave. The wait staff continued to be attentive even as we sat there chatting well into the dinner hour. It was a lovely, unhurried afternoon and all who we encountered were very friendly and professional. That includes all wait staff who tended to us, staff who took our pictures at various times and locations when we asked, ones who we encountered in our walk around the various rooms and offered up some history and even the owner who stopped by our table twice because we were there so long! We will be back!
I absolutely love having lunch here. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. The food is outstanding. You really feel special coming here.
The dining room is absolutely beautiful, and overlooks an estate that would be at home in the Great Gatsby.
Always wonderful there..the food exceptional great staff
Disappointed with the food. I had shrimp and lobster over cavatelli. Pasta undercooked. Lobster so overcooked i could hardly cut it. The shrimp was perfect. Our server was great
The thanksgiving sandwich could have done without the bacon. It was a little to dry and salty.
Maybe more cranberry sauce.
Beautiful dining and I normally love the food!
Outstanding Atmosphere and service, cool place.
OHEKA Castle reminded me of a chateau in France. The food was excellent. The wsitress was attentive and wonderful. It was so nice that she added a personal touch with a chocolate plaque wishing my husband and myself a Happy Anniversary. I will highly recommend Oheka Castle!!
VERY NICE PLACE TO STEAD EXCEPT FOR THE SNOW HAD A BIG SNOW STORM YHE DAY BEFORE WE CHECK IN
Excellent food!! I love going to this restaurant. The waiter took our order without writing it down (memorized) and got everything correct. I can't wait to go back! I definitely recommend.
This was my second visit and it was OK, overall. The first visit, exceeded my expectations during the summer. Then, the food was good, but this time, there was not change to the menu at all. Seemed a little boring. The services could have been better, the food, just ok. The venue is nice, and worth at least one visit, but probably won't be going back.
Just an overall great experience. The location, the service, the food and ambiance made for a great dining experience. We were celebrating a birthday so I called ahead and they prepared a nice birthday cake and sang happy birthday. The owner also stopped at our table to greet us and welcome us to his home which was a nice touch. I felt this was a better overall experience and value than some of the other upscale restaurants around.
Beautiful atmosphere for a dinner or special occasion. Dropinks and appetizers were very good. Main courses were not.
Had such a wonderful meal celebrating my daughter’s 6th Birthday. We were worried that it might be a bit stuffy for a child, but they treated her like a princess! Highly recommend for a special occasion. Can’t wait to celebrate here again!
The food was amazing! We stayed at Oheka for the night and really enjoyed the restaurant.
I was truly impressed with everything about this restaurant. I brought my 86 year old mother and she hasn't stopped talking about the great food, atmosphere and service. It was truly a memorable time for her (and also for me). The menu and wine list were impressive. The food was outrageously delicious. The crab cakes were the best I ever had; exceptional! There isn't one negative thing about this restaurant. Will surely return. Thank you to the chef and staff.
Went with friends to celebrate my wife’s 40th. What a great experience. Beautiful place
The food was fantastic. I would especially recommend the shrimp and lobster and pasta dish.
Though our dinner was quite good, it didn’t seem to be up to the value for the prices charged. Ambience was fine. Service was excellent. Portions were generous. Overall though, the food was not incredible, so not an exceptional dining experience.
Had a wonderful lunch in a beautiful setting.
While the castle itself is amazing and the atmosphere in the restaurant coupled with service is very good, the food was simply not quite what we expected. Our son did not like the hot-dogs, while my spicy tuna tartar was a strange mix of too many flavors. My husband liked the lobster starter, while I was not impressed with the duck it did not go with the risotto which was overcooked.
Not too much selection. And a bit pricey but the place was beautiful
Great place to take a loved one to experience the elegant environment. Food was delicious. The service was very professional.
Always an amazing time celebrating our anniversary at Oheka!
First time there everything was perfect.
Food and service were amazing!
Excellent food and service.
We enjoy visiting what Otto Kahn had built. It's a very interesting place. We did not get to go into the Charlie Chaplin room this time because it was occupied. Oheka is a bit pricy but like other upscale restaurants, it depends upon what you order and what you have to drink.
Always Great! Food, atmosphere and service are consistently wonderful!
We went to Oheka for my birthday. Even though the restaurant was half empty, and remained as such all night, we were seated at the worst table in the restaurant - next to the kitchen with a view of the parking lot and next to a table with a screaming baby (who brings a baby to a restaurant of this caliber?). We did not have a dedicated waiter but that was not a problem because there was an event in the next room so as the steady stream of waiters made their way to the kitchen and past our table they asked if we needed anything. So, I guess service was not an issue. My daughter asked for the filet mignon - medium. It came out blood rare. They took it back to the kitchen to cook it more, but left my dinner on the table to get cold. The brownie sundae tasted like a stale Duncan Hines brownie. The meal was not worth the price that they charged. The setting in a castle is unique. The owner did come around and say hello to every table - nice touch. Most of the reviews for Oheka are very good. That was not my experience.
Stayed at OHEKA for two nights and ate at the restaurant on our second night. Shared tuna tartare app., which was prepared perfectly. My wife had the shrimp and lobster and loved it. I had the duck, and must say it was one of the best duck dishes I've ever had. Service was top notch, and Gary the owner stopped at our table to chat with us. Overall a very pleasant dining experience. We'll be back.
Nice lunch for a family of 4, 3 of which are vegetarians and the chef made some suggestions when emailed prior to our visit. The food was delicious and the owner of the castle greeted every table and welcomed you to his home.
We had a great time as usual. It was the first time we brought the kids and they loved it as well.
I brought my friend here to thank her for being such a great friend. Neither of us had ever been to OHEKA before but I had heard about it from someone whose daughter had had her wedding in the castle. She could not stop talking about how everything was perfect and amazing. She spoke the truth. We enjoyed the castle tour followed by lunch in the restaurant. I normally don't like to recommend things to people because everyone has different taste but I cannot imagine anyone not loving this place. It's fantastic! We even got to meet the famous hero, Gary the builder, without whom none of this would have been possible.
Totally in awe at the history and elegance of this place. A must go date for any couple.
