Such a beautiful place. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service & delicious food. Came here for mine & my boyfriend's birthday. We started with the lobster meatballs and for our entrees I had the chicken Angelica and he had the Rib Steak Florenza. Not only were they plated beautifully but they were so flavorful. The owner even came over to introduce himself to us & thank us for joining this evening which is something that most places do not do. Will be back here many more times!! Can't wait for my next visit!

Great food-great service- great everything
Always an enjoyable experience
We eat here once or twice a year for special occasions. The food and service are always exceptional.
I ordered the lobster and shrimp alfredo. I found the lobster and shrimp difficult to cut and chew. I've had the dish on prior visits and I did not have that problem. Another guest had the same dish and did not encounter the problem. Our guests who had the duck and swordfish very much liked their meals. Our server, Jeremy, was attentive and efficient. We'll be back next week with different guests.
Great experience ! Went there for my anniversary. Ordered the Filet Mignon. Cooked to perfection. Our waiter Christopher was amazing. Definitely worth it
First let me say, my daughter got married here 6 years ago....everything was absolutely perfect! For some reason though, I never think to go for dinner. A friend of mine wanted to try it and I figured what a great idea! BUT, let me start with the server...she was rude and didn't smile, she acted as if she wanted to go home and was disgusted with being there. I ordered Lobster meatballs...they were so dry and tasteless...couldn't eat them. I also ordered the crab cake and since I hadn't eaten the first course, I was looking forward to the 2nd... I don't mind spicy foods but this was so spicy that I couldn't eat that either, I did apologized nicely and sent them back... Today I was with the couple that we had gone with and they expressed that they were also very disappointed with both their dinners and thought the servers attitude was very unprofessional. We won't be going back....
Staff was very friendly and helpful but often slow. Menu offers good selection. Price is reasonable. Ambiance is lovely
Came here for our anniversary and it was wonderful! Ambiance was very quite and romantic. The castle is simply breathtaking! Like from a movie. Food and drinks were different and delicious. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Staying at Oheka Castle, we had to try dinner at the restaurant. And it was well worth it. The hostess was accommodating, the staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. All the way through to the dessert. Atmosphere was nice, including the background music. What made it even more special was that the owner Gary came over to chat and seemed genuinely concerned that we were having a positive experience. Price was well within what would be expected for a dinner at this type of venue.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful and the grounds are really spectacular , I’m sorry to say the food was tasteless and the service was aloof.
We came to celebrate a birthday for a friend, and it was everything we'd hoped! We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Our waiter came right over, and offered us water and took our drink order. We shared 3 appetizers; the lobster meatballs - which were SO GOOD and just filled with lobster meat! The coconut shrimp - which were good, but a bit overcooked and not very coconutty. Lastly, we shared a corn/crab salad on the special menu, which was fantastic!! Lots of fresh corn, plenty of crab meat and dressed just right. For our entrees I got the lobster/shrimp avocado alfredo pasta dish, which was generously filled with both lobster and jumbo shrimp. The avocado alfredo sauce was delicious, not too heavy, and a lovely lighter twist on traditional heavy alfredo sauce. My guests both had a sea bass that was on the special menu, and both cleaned their plates! The birthday boy received a birthday serenade with his chocolate brownie/moosetracks ice cream combo. The entire meal was wonderful, the servers were friendly and warm, yet professional. Our experience was everything you'd hope for when dreaming of meal at a castle....even more so! We loved it, and will be back.
Food while a bit expensive for lunch is very good. You get what you pay for! The servers seem genuinely happy to be working at this restaurant and they are friendly and courteous. The wine serving size and price in my mind was close to a rip off. I don't mind a place making a profit on the bar but $14 dollars for a 4 or 5 ounce pour of wine is gouging the customer. We went for the 11 AM tour of the mansion and then had a 12:30 lunch reservation. I highly recommend both the tour and lunch even with the ridiculous pricing of a glass of wine.
Food was excellent, it was on the higher side, but it was worth the trip. We live on the south shore so it was a drive. The service really made the evening they were attentive but not aggressive. When you needed a cocktail or your water refilled they were there. They had a very good understanding of the menu and they were able to explain it thoroughly.
The portions were very generous in fact we brought home enough for lunch the next day, and the food was still delicious.
Amazing place ! Everything was absolutely perfect ! Food is delicious. Staff is professional
I think the place is beautiful, the service is excellent , and the food is delicious
Such an amazing experience ! Went to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and it was absolutely amazing ! Can’t wait to be back. Lauren was fantastic and very informative on the history of this historic site !
We were celebrating our anniversary n they went over n beyond to make it special. Great seating on outside veranda, free dessert n coffee, my husband ordered spicy tuna n it was too spicy n they let me eat n without even asking went n made him a new one no charge. There was a wedding at the venue n we got to enjoy the Gucci fireworks that were presented, n they made sure we had a great spot to see it. The manager, n our waitress, Farrita were just delightful Gary the owner came over to our table to wish us a Happy Anniversary n was making sure all was good. Afterwards we sat outside on couches for after dinner drinks n Gary came n sat with us n offered us pizza. Such a lovely evening all around.
Great find. Friends went for a business lunch and told me about it. The place is amazing. Fun atmosphere. The grounds around the restaurant give it a European feel. Waitstaff very attentive. Food was good. portions are good size so come hungry. I had no idea the place was even there but I'm glad I found it.
Inattentive staff. Unreasonable delay. Failed to follow the birthday instructions requested. Disappointing experience
We had family visiting from California and went for lunch at Oheka. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The service was great. After lunch, we walked around the grounds of Oheka enjoying the beautiful views.
Everything was great starting with the bread and gorgonzola dip. The crab cakes and the pear salad appetizers were excellent. The duck was moist and the sea bass was terrific. The owner, Gary Melius, came by to each of the tables to make sure each of his customers was having a great time.
After being there for a wedding I thought this would b a perfect place to take my parents for their 70th anniversary I was appalled that the only handicapped access to the restaurant was going through the basement having to walk about a city block length to the elevator My parents on a walker and cane at almost 90 years old were exhausted and in pain When we got to the floor where the restaurant was it was ANOTHER long hallway When I spoke to them about this horrendous approach they said OH u could have asked for a wheel chair Why didn’t the person who greeted us mention that!!! Upon leaving all they could find was ONE wheel chair This place is NOT handicapped accessible in any way Their site AND open table should make that clear The only access to this place is either a flight of stairs OR making your way through the basement without any help down long cavernous corridors They should be ashamed
The hotel and the restaurant were marvelous. The atmosphere was elegant. The waiters were polite and friendly. The menu provided many options. We stayed overnight at the castle two nights and enjoyed the food so much that we went again the next day.
Felt like royalty dining in this incredible estate.
Spectacular! From the moment you enter through the gate of this magnificent space, to being greeted by the warm smile and handshake of the proud owner, to the sheer beauty and wonderful ambiance, great staff, great wine list and lunch menu.....something ALL must experience!
Me and my wife had won a free night stay at Oheka so we decided to have dinner there as well. We booked it close to our wedding anniversary date, even though we stayed on a Wednesday night , it was still a great time. The staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay even better. When we told one of the managers, Amy, that it was our anniversary, they put a happy anniversary inscribed piece of chocolate on our dessert, it was a nice little touch. Also got the dessert on the house 😉. Even if you don’t stay in one of their rooms, you can still go to the restaurant anytime there isnt an event going on. We will definitely be going back at some point in the future.
Incredible atmosphere and the menu selections were outstanding!!! Cocktails were perfect and the service wonderful! Can’t wait to go back!
We had a wonderful experience and a fantastic meal. Very romantic!
Buffalo chicken panini was a little too spicy for my liking and very...drippy. Flavor was good though. Fig and Flower cocktail was good. Service overall was good. Walked around the gardens afterwards. Would return but would try something else on the menu
Stopped by for lunch, great food, great service and fantastic setting. Will remember my trip to Oheka castle for all the above reasons.
My wife was very unhappy with her Thanksgiving Dinner sandwich. Did not like the spiced cranberry sauce which I either misread or it was not listed as such). Almost no stuffing and the turkey itself was disappointing. Would never order again or recommend. The fried calamari and the mussels and clams in Thai sauce were both very good as was the bread and cheese that was brought to the table. She also enjoyed her Bourbon Maple Smash at the bar.
It was great!
Oheka Castle, a beautifully preserved Gold Coast mansion in Huntington. The majestic gates slowly opened to allow us to enter the extensive driveway surrounded by formidable hedges on each side. Restaurant staff were all delightfully courteous. The food was done to perfection. It was for moms birthday celebration dinner and we wanted to go to an extraordinary place.
All of the food we ordered was cooked to perfection. Mussels & clams, coconut shrimp, calamari appetizers. Shrimp & lobster avocado alfredo, Short ribs, NY strip, Salmon athena, for the main courses. We can’t wait to go back & try some of the other selections on the menu. Please don’t pay attention to any of the negative reviews.
To put things into perspective, we love the restaurant Prime but we don’t like the seafood restaurant H20.
Here are picks for Italian food. We love Carmine’s ( uptown ) NYC not so much Tony DiNapolis. We love Puchinellas, Massapequa. Arturo’s, Floral Park. Lastly our favorite for Italian food is Patrizias, Williamsburg Brooklyn ( down the road from Peter Lugers ).
Beautiful place that I have always wanted to go to. The food was better than I expected and so were the portions. I had the wild salmon. The service was better than I have seen in many other restaurants in the area. I hope to come again.
Overall good place and great great service!!! It would better tohave some background music at the outdoor sitting area... tooo quite and so people could hear others conversations.
Birthday they are very accommodating
Menu needs more entree’s and less sandwiches, esting in OHEKA is always special
Oheka castle was built in 1919 and it is everything you would expect a castle to be. It reminded me of Downton Abbey and the Shining (but not really spooky). The food was very good but the ambiance is what made it worth the cost.
