Excellent food. Every dish was perfect and all 4 of us were of the same opinion - WE WILL BE BACK!!! Very reasonable prices as well.
Thank you for a wonderful evening: the service was so accommodating, understanding, respectful and generous; the food simply delicious. We will be returning.
Gorgeous food, well presented, charming staff, beautiful surroundings
Beautiful surroundings and great service. The food was delicious - and portion sizes just right.
Elegant period setting but not stuffy with modern energy. Delicious, excellent Polish food with high presentation. Friendly staff - eager to explain dishes. Very good selection of dishes meat, fish , gluten free, vegan options available. Ambiance pleasant and lively. Thoroughly recommend - close to Royal Albert Hall and Royal Geographical Society for events etc...
Very good food, very good service, very good ambience - as always. Fairly pricy but worth it.
Lovely spot right next to Hyde Park. Authentic seasonal food
Lovely place the food is usually excellent but I had a feeling not quite up to normal standards
In terms of price quality one if the best restaurants in London
Food and service were impeccable. Full wine list and lovely atmosphere. Make a reservation.
Excellent location if using Albert hall, food and ambience are really good
Amazing food and drinks, we always come back.
Improvement points: service sometimes too pushy. Place sometimes too loud.
Ognisko never disappoints, it’s my go to place to eat in London. Fantastic food and service. Love it
What a great find. Will be back. It was exactly what it said on the web site.
Beautiful place for Sunday lunch away from the noise of South Kensington. Delicious Polish menu and reasonable prices considering location. Oh and so many lovely drinks. Hot Krupnik on a cold day!
A much better experience than our Oct 29 visit which was a disaster. The management still have not responded on that. This time the restaurant was not oversold and everything worked fine. We got there at 17:45 for a 18:00 booking and that might have been the trick. Strange there is no management response to adverse criticism. The food (the pre-theatre menu) was good and the service excellent.
Always great food and welcoming service. And excellent cocktail menu in the bar!
Amazing place! Picked this place for work dinner and it was perfect choice. Everything was great : food, Service and prices. Definitely will come back.
A great experience all round.
I have no idea how they know I am Imperial student, but anyway, they give an Imperial discount. LOL, thanks muchly.
Love this excellent restaurant with great food and atmosphere. Drinks are wonderful too. A favourite. Discover it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
Finally the culinary desert around royal Albert hall is no more - there are couple of good options and Ognisko is one of the best.
Been there for drinks - excellent bar with amazing selection and really professional and knowledgeable bartenders. And finally made it for dinner. Oh my. Winter and polish food are made for each other, it’s heaven. Wine selection, friendly service, ambience - everything is first class and for a reasonable price too.
Loved having a drinks and a light meal here. Lovely bar area, perfect for a get together among friends. The food was well prepared, and very tasty.
I have visited Ognisko a number of times and it never disappoints. On this occasion my friend and I took his parents and a splendid time was had by all.
Brilliant place. Was quite noisy as restaurant full but still able to converse easily. Lovely staff, fab food. Very good value for Central London. Thoroughly recommend the Georgian Red Wine!
We booked a pre-theatre table at 6pm and all 4 of our party were on time or early. The restaurant was alarmingly full and our worst fears were soon realised. Our starter was delivered after about 30 minutes but there was no sign of our main course until ONE HOUR AND TEN minutes after we ordered. We had all specifically ordered from the pre theatre menu thinking it would be quicker. People around us going to the same event at the Albert Hall were abandoning their food in order to be at the venue on time. Our waiter was under immense pressure and deeply apologetic, but couldn't expedite the food. There appeared to be no management in evidence and there was no apology. Some of the food that arrived was fine. My fish was perfectly cooked but the sauce was cold. It was utter chaos and the place was massively oversold.
A really lovely venue with great food! Service can be slightly erratic when the restaurant is really busy, but outweighed by the atmosphere.
We ordered a pre-theatre meal but the starter arrived only after about 45 minutes and two of the main courses on our table of four arrived so late there wasn’t time to eat them. We were not the only table to experience something similar that evening so pretty hopeless. We requested money off but only a very small sum was offered and there just wasn’t time to argue about it or we would have missed our show.
Always nice to come here
Excellent service and lovely ambiance
Food not so good this time but I will still go back as I may have cosen badly!
We had the theatre menu as we were in a hurry as attending a talk at the Polish Club upstairs.
The Herring was somewhat salty for my taste, the two breads it was served with were very good.
The salmon main course was faultless and the pickled salad complimented it perfectly
used to be amazing but this time the restaurant was understaffed and you could see they were struggling. long waits, food lukewarm, ordered food that never arrived. I understand they had a wedding dinner in the same hall but close the restaurant next time please. food was also average and drinks watery and poor value. what a disappointment!
We have dined and lunched here many times . Lovely room, tablelinen etc. We order lots of starters and salads then dessert and skip mains. Reasonable prices and a steal with a tastecard. Hany for the museums too.
It must have been an off night. A friends favourite restaurant and we went on a Saturday night for his birthday.
The service was just exhausting. We waited 15 min at the bar (one person serving, 2 customers ahead of me) for a glass of champagne. Bar itself was absolutely covered in dirty glasses. We had to ask for the menu, to give our order, more drinks, follow up on why everything took an hour to come out. We felt invisible.
Entree and main was luke warm.
Pavlova dessert was out of this world!
It was just a lethargic, exhausting dining experience.
Beautiful room in a great location.
Interestingly different food and plenty of it
Ognisko is a favourite place to meet friends over good and interesting food always beautifully prepared. Excellent efficient and friendly service.
One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. It’s always brilliant! We go regularly. The vodka martinis are outstanding. Great value as well. You can have a carafe of good wine. The staff are lovely too they always try and accommodate you. Well worth going.
A lively, high-spirited Friday evening in the Polish Club's restaurant, Ognisko. The bar and adjacent restaurant were both busy and boisterous by 8pm, the atmosphere was nicely convivial and the front of house staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Half the dishes were very good and the other half would have been if they weren't too salty. Wonderful evening.
Wonderful selection of vodka and very friendly service
Second visit, this time for lunch. Relaxed , well paced service, fantastic food in a convivial setting. We’ll be back!
An incredibly beautiful space, fabulous food and extremely attentive staff. Such great value for money.
