   This restaurant is a real gem , it deserves all the support it gets , the restaurant is beautiful, very clean , great friendly staff who are knowlegable about the food , i have been many times and will continue to do so.

   I ate here on a Saturday with my boyfriend. The ambience was wonderful with the restaurant seeming full but without being busy or crowded. The food was absolutely outstanding from the taste to the presentation to the waiting time, it could not have been planned better. The staff were helpful and kind and very efficient. I look forward to my next visit!

   Having visited Ogino several times since the restaurant first opened, we are continually delighted by the manner in which each meal is at least as good if not better than the one before. The inventive and varied menu continues to expand but never at any cost to the quality of flavour or presentation. Whether you choose fish, meat or vegetarian dishes, there is an abundance of luscious choice to excite the tastebuds. The wine list is extensive, which complemented by a range of authentic Japanese beverages, lprovides diners with an interesting and unique experience. The owners are a friendly husband and wife team whose hands-on style is warm and professional. The staff are pleased to offer guidance on diners' choices and are polite and helpful. Around a corner and tucked out of the sight of passing pedestrians, Ogino is situated on the first floor and presents a very pleasant surprise to the first time visitor. The organisation of the restaurant is inviting, with large tables that are spacious and comfortable. The decor is cleverly befitting of the oriental style of food on offer. It was the first visit for the friends who accompanied us and they are excited about returning very soon, so that they can sample some more of the tempting dishes available from the extensive menu.

   While the food we ordered was lovely I wish we had been braver and asked the lovely waitress more about the dishes available as we gazed on with envy at every meal that went past us.

   All staff are polite and friendly. Food is beautiful, well worth the money. Thank you for making my birthday meal one to remember.

   I booked an evening meal for my wife's Birthday and pre booked fizz. It was there on the nail, plus staff were friendly, attentive and above all made a fuss of the birthday girl. The menu choice was excellent, but be aware some options are to be pre booked. I had the chicken, wow, great, my wife, the sea bream, both were top notch. The cocktails are to die for. If you want a classy evening with top class food and brilliant staff look no further.

   Great service, outstanding food, excellent value on the Saturday lunch menu. Have been before and travelled from over an hour away to try the lunch menu this time and was not disappointed.

   For the first time visitor finding the entrance is a little confusing, and the entrance hall and stairs are uninspiring, but press on to the delightful bar area, nicely decorated with Japanese tree blossom wallpaper on one wall, the feel is contemporary but not too stark. The food is the reason to be here. The service was good but they were very busy - a good sign! I had King Prawn Tempura, light as a feather - not greasy, a perfect starter. The Sea Bream in a exquisite creamy sauce, lots of flavour. Pick point - I would suggest a little low volume Japanese music just to set the atmosphere so you feel you could be in Japan! Keep the standard up and the people will flock in.

    I just love this restaurant - we have been a few times and the food is fantastic quality, beautifully presented and so different to anywhere else. We will be booking again soon.
