This place is amazing inside and outside!! Our server JuJu was outstanding! It was properly social distanced. The ambiance and vibe was perfect. It was clean and accommodating. It’s too bad Chicago restrictions are closing the place down temporarily. I will definitely visit again.
Great experience! Looking forward to March 2021!!
Middle aged white guy wearing under-armor was our server treated us beyond exceptional will be going back whenever we visit again just for his service.
Offshore has a great atmosphere. It was a little confusing to find with everything being closed, but we managed. Cool to have the Navy Pier all to ourselves!
Amazing place to relax, eat and drink with beautiful views. It’s a hidden gem for sure. This was my 4th visit already since Labor Day.
Everything was beautiful
Great service and staff. Food was delicious. Nice calm environment.
It’s so nice and peaceful. I love it
The ambiance is simply amazing & the food is okay. It’s definitely not something to brag about. The service was great after we received a new waiter... the original waitress we were given was very rude when I asked to be moved to a different table simply because of the dress I wore & being unable to sit comfortably. As she mocked me & proceeded to get the hostess, I felt very uncomfortable & out of place until we reached our new table with a new waiter. Outside of the ignorant waitress that was serving that night everything was okay. I will revisit in the Spring.
the views are amazing, so glad we booked though opentable don't think we would have gotten a table if we wouldn't have made a reservation.
The location is great. I would recommend it for the views alone. Our particular waitress was not so good. Had to ask for the basic stuff like silverware, napkins etc.
LOVE the views, love the food and service!! It's a wonderful venue!
It just ok. Not sure I need to go back. They food wasn't great. Just ok but very pricey. The drinks were good but presentation lacking. I got my cocktail in a plastic cup versus a glass. My family did bottomless mimosas and got glasses. The sparkling wine for the mimosas tasted flat, wasn't very good. To have to pay $20 in parking and $65 for 2 appetizers and 2 drinks for to food to be "eh" makes me in no rush to visit again. The ambiance was beautiful and the cocktails were pretty good.
I was disappointed with the whole experience of being there outside of the food. The food was delicious! I’m not motivated to come back.
It was freezing outside and super windy, yet the restaurant had their sliding windows/doors open. The food was average, not worth the high price. And we were seated at a table that was super tiny. Our 2 plates barely fit on the table. Overall, it was not a good experience. The staff was also kind of rude.
I had make a reservation weeks before, it was a special occasion and I had asked specifically for a table with great view! First when we got there the hostess had a terrible attitude (definitely not a place for her to work) second when she takes us to the table it was in the middle of the room, weak chair and weak table and NO VIEW whatsoever I asked her and explain and still with the attitude she said there was not table anywhere else that she could’ve sit us out in the patio but there was no heater and after sitting we wouldn’t be able to switch back!! We ended up sitting but I was already upset! The waitress was okay she did help us moved to a different later on after we had finished our food but she did take long to bring us our drinks (two beers) we could see the beer sitting right next to her while she was chatting with the bartender. I don’t think I would go back maybe on the summer time when maybe I could have a better view of the city or lake.
The hostess who seated myself and guest was rude when I asked about a seat away from the door. The manager began berating an African-American employee in front of patrons after he closed part of the patio doors. The patrons asked him to close the door as it was more chilly that day than forecasted. The only nice part of the experience and the reason we stayed is because of waitress Courtney was very nice.
Literally the most overrated place ever. Go for the views. We had a reservation and still had to wait 30 mins. We watched the manager scream at the staff because a customer asked to close a door and he did it. I don’t know what their rules are about the doors... but to scream at staff in front of customers? Seemed extremely unprofessional which was pretty on par with everything else.
Went and celebrated a friends birthday and it wasn’t too crowded when we arrived so we were off to a good start. However it took at least 20 minutes before our server came up to us and took our drink order. We tried the mobile option that was listed as available on a card that was on the table but the site was down so we had to wait for the server to come around.
Food was pretty good but you don’t get much for what you pay for. I don’t drink too often and had 3 drinks and walked out of there feeling more sober then when I arrived - ha - so I doubt they were putting the right amount of vodka into my drink.
We ended up asking for our bill after the appetizers and went down the street to a different restaurant for dinner. Which was a good choice!
Scenery is beautiful but that’s now too hard since it sits on a rooftop overlooking the lake. Prob will not be back :(
Good food and incredible site of my city skyline. Highly recommend this place.
If you love Chicago in the Lakefront it is exactly the trip you want to make. Food and service was great and excellent location to experience Chicago
A little underwhelmed
The ambience was nice. Outside patio was nice and cozy. Crab rolls was amazing I had to order 3 orders of them. Drinks were delicious.
I actually enjoyed the ambiance, and our server was very attentive and professional. However, they didn’t have a good selection of food items, and not worth the price in my opinion.
We made reservations and were seated right away. We had a beautiful view of the city. The food was AMAZING, everything was well worth the price. We can’t wait to come back soon!
This was our first visit to the Offshore Bar on a Friday at 5 pm. The hostess seemed to be in a bad mood. The complimentary golf cart saved us some steps walking from the Navy Pier entrance. The seating we were offered was outdoors and great for Covid avoidance. However the seats were a hard surface (picnic table) and really uncomfortable for sitting for a couple of hours. Everyone seemed happy with their food choices. The dessert we ordered was a strawberry-rhubarb cobbler -- what they brought out was an apple cobbler apparently thrown together at the last minute because it took forever to arrive. The apples seemed under cooked. The views were outstanding of the skyline and lake. The wind was bit of a challenge at times. Not sure how to get more comfy seating when having more than just drinks. Parking was validated $10 off the $29 off season Navy Pier rate. Would recommend this place for special occasion and for wowing out of town guests.
Always a great place to hang out . Such a great view ,plus the glass walls and ceiling give it a nice open and airy feeling ... great food and drink menu
I love the view and how welcoming it was
Offshore Rooftop and Bar - good food, great value, impeccable view, and most of all world class service. Thanks Offshore (Evelyn) for making my birthday experience memorable.
My experience at this place was suberb! The service, food and drinks were amazing!!
Great ambiance and views!
The set up is beautiful with the inside outside feel. Great view of the lake and service is great.
It was our first time at Offshore and it was a great time!
Took my sister here for brunch. A little pricey, but totally worth it. The food was delicious, service was good, and the views are amazing. We went on a sunny day and 60 degree weather, but I could see it being very inviting even on a rainy day. Will definitely return for a lunch date soon!
Our server was nice, the food was ok and the drinks we ordered didn't have much liquor, if any at all. We ended up ordering shots to make up for the drinks. Other than that, the venue is lovely, along with a nice, cool, relaxing, chill atmosphere.
Due to Navy Pier being closed off shore should bring more of the wow factory. I would go again but I think it would be best to go during the day.
It was a very nice place, only problem was that even though you make reservations through open table, you still have to wait for a seat when you get there. We waited for at least 45mins or more for a table. The staff were very apologetic about it though, so kudos to them!
Wings did not taste smoked and they had no flavor. Very disappointing. The only thing that saved them was the hotsauce. We had a reservation and still had to wait about 30 minutes which wasn't horrible considering what's going on but the food was not great
When asking the waiter what he suggests as best dishes he said nothing. I asked well can I have the burger he literally said “I DON’T CARE!”
Will never go here again!!! Ever
Customer service was horrible this will be my last time here which sucks after coming here numerous times for bunch!
