    A beautiful outlook on the side of the Brisbane River however the service needs some improvement. Suggest a sign to be seated with a staff member greeting people. No clear direction with regard to ordering food. Food was good however limited and not what is advertised online. Meals came out a different times, some quickly and some requiring follow up after some time. Also not value for money for this type of casual venue, an example beef brisket consisted of a small plate with 6 small slices and nothing else for over $30. The grassed area has obviously had a lot of traffic and much of it is mud which is slippery and dirty, resulting in white wooden tables/benches being dirty. All in all, has potential, but given the plethora of other venues in the area offering better service and value for money will need to improve to be successful.

    The location is lovely, the service pretty good but the menu is small, very little vegetarian options. The pizzas were average and the prawn starter is one single prawn - just one.. one sole prawn and it wasnt very good. There was an issue with our pre booked table so we had to move but that happens. I wouldnt return just based on the food and quality but its a cute spot.

    Food came out at seperate times, cold and took over an hour for burgers and sides. Although the overall vibe was quite good the service just wasent there. Haven’t tried breakfast food but I don’t think I’ll be back for lunch. Good place for a drink though.

    We booked 2-3 weeks in advance. There is no direction or indication of where to wait to be seated or any staff greeting. We booked a table taking the weather into consideration and we were not seated in the area we had booked. They had an event and the heavily intoxicated guests were milling around the bar the whole time which delayed our access to staff to ask how we are seated and ordering processes. The staff were lovely though but at 6:30/6:40pm the chef we were told was choosing to limit the menu to only pizzas and we had two guests that were coeliac who were not able to eat. Our booking was for 6:15pm. It was a very poor experience and we were lucky to book somewhere close by for a proper dinner with full menu options at short notice. Very disappointing because we were looking forward to the ambience of Officers Mess.

    A very relaxed pleasant atmosphere perfect for a Sunday get together. Food is tasty and reasonably priced Staff are very helpful but at times may need a few more behind the bar. Tuffy definitely adds to the overall atmosphere.

    Very busy on the Sunday that we went. Our reservation was nowhere to be found. We lined up for ages at the bar to order food (where 2 big signs say ‘order here’), only to be told to order food at the ‘collect here’ signs! Not enough bar staff to serve, not enough staff to clear and clean tables. The singer was good, but too loud for table conversation! Lovely views though, and food was tasty, even though the menu is small.
