Always the best, freshest, very imaginative dishes.
Fois gras torchon pizza? What the whaaat?
Totally yummy.
Papardelle trifolato and king trumpets.
Buttery, earthy but light on the palate.
Go.

Great food service was horrible. Management needs to hire more servers / workers. One server for Sunday brunch is not enough to staff a restaurant. Bartender and host helped out but still not enough hands on deck. Took over 15 mins for our bottle beers.

Very nice menu and plenty of options. Pasta was over cooked. Sausage on pizza was amazing. Wait staff didn’t seem to have it all together. Nice time, but wasn’t spectacular.

We ate at Oenotri on 2/17. This was our first time there. Not sure if the business actually reads the comments from Open Table when making reservations, but it was my husband's bday and nothing special was done. Also I had asked for sauce on the side (hollandaise sauce) on the breakfast I had and they didn't do it. It was on top of the poached eggs /bacon/ bread. Also, my husband had requested that the bacon he ordered not be cooked crispy and that's how they came out. We would've asked for the food be taken back and made as we ordered, but we had a movie to watch and were pressed for time. Besides this, we still did enjoy the food. We had asked for bread (available on request) which was given to us but the server never asked if we'd like more. The restaurant wasn't busy (it was about 11am) when we arrived. So I would think that service should be exceptional. Little details matter and were overlooked , in my opinion.

From service , ambience to every dish served they were spot on. While no one dish blew us away it all was a solid A so the cumulative affect was wow that was great!

The food was amazing!!!! We got the Margherita pizza and added on sausage and got a pasta as well. Both were amazing! The dessert we got was the ice cream with the shot poured in it. Unreal! The food here is 10/10. The pizza was unreal. We will be back.

After high expectations the restaurant was a real disappointment. I was looking forward to some good pasta. The pasta was cooked OK, but so little sauce I figured they probably made the whole dish for about a dollar and charged $24. Would not go back.

We are local regular diners here and consistently leave talking about how we enjoyed another outstanding meal. We usually eat family style, sharing three courses, and the wait staff is always most accommodating. Addionally, we are sorta wine geeks and the wine steward’s recommendations are spot on and well-priced.

Service was slow, slow, slow. They said kitchen was backed up, but every part of our service besides the wait for the food was also slow. Slow to take order, slow to get drinks, slow to take payment, slow to bring back payment. Our server seemed to change between a couple different people, so no one person was in charge of our table. There were a couple of gals that seemed to be the floor managers, but they obviously weren't managing things very well oe we wouldn't have had this problem. Bus service was quick, but that's the only positive for service. Food itself was good, but not great. No need for us to come back again.

Overall a good meal and fun time. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made several recommendations, however, he was just little over-the-top about how great everything was and oversold a bit. Even the party next to us raved about the pizza which I found to be just okay (my husband said it was just bad) and the crust lacked flavor (perhaps salt). I had the short rib dish and it wasn’t as great as it sounded, but was good. We’ve eaten here several times in the past and have been very happy with everything, this time it just seemed a little off. The only other comment I have is that I believe my Open Table reservation stated we were celebrating our anniversary (our 35th!) and we were not congratulated by our server or even asked if we were celebrating any occasion. It would’ve been nice to have it acknowledged. Out of the 3 restaurants we reserved for the weekend, only one (Mustard’s) wished us a happy anniversary.

Nice ambiance, altho a bit noisy due to all hard surfaces. Food quality and choices were excellent. We liked the straight lettuce salad with house dressing.

We left, the menu was so pretentious and expensive. I don’t mind spending money for good food but not $18 for a cheese pizza that is personal size!

Always the best seasonal ingredients thoughtfully prepared. The staff attentive, courteous and professional. One of our most favorite venues. You never know what will come out of the kitchen but it’s always fabulous. Big shout out to the pastry chef, Jenn. The most incredible, understated and well executed desserts in the valley.
Save room from your other dining experience and have your dessert at Oenotri.
You will thank us!

Oenotri has been my favorite restaurant in Napa for years. But maybe because it was restaurant week, they were really off this time. The salad dressing was insipid, the pizza was burnt, and my steak (properly done) had an overly tomato-y sauce and too many not very tasty greens. The two pasta dishes at our table were quite good, but even so... I hope they recover, it hurts to think I've lost one of my "go to" places.
