Fresh Central Mills Polenta
Our server Damien was par excellence. The only hiccup was a mix-up with seating. We had reserved an outdoor table on Open Table more than a week in advance. When we arrived, the hostess told us that another party (without a reservation) arrived before we did and took our spot. After I explained the circumstances, she relented and found us a table outside
Amazing food and service. Best polenta I have ever had. Also excellent pizza's. Can't wait to go back.
The man who served us was hilarious and amazing!
I was told “NO” to add one person from 4 people to five. It was Mother's Day. Once there, there were many open tables. I am fully aware of Covid restrictions. We easily could have added the 5th person. My husband stayed home.
I was very disappointed and it left me feeling that I wouldn’t be coming back anytime soon. I live in Napa and have many choices on where to eat.
Unfortunately Onetri won’t be a choice I will make.
I feel bad about it and I don’t even know if management cares or not.
Since I was asked for the survey, I decided to be honest.
The back terrace is off the street with great ambiance and the server was very knowledgeable. Great specials and a very unique wine list. We are locals and always say 'we should go there more often' after each dining experience.
Despite advertising a brunch, they do not offer a brunch.
We made reservations for a mother's day brunch and we arrived to find out (eventually) that they just offer their normal menu, and then claimed to offer an added selection of brunch foods. However, the only thing that resembled a brunch item was a beef hash - not so great when our guest of honor doesn't eat beef.
Beyond that, the entire experience was disappointing. We were seated outside and the hosted left an ipad but no menus (or instructions). A reasonable person would expect that at least the ipad had the menu, but nope, just a list of drinks and a QR code that leads to their site - to download a brunch menu that didn't exist.
This use of technology is just misguided. I'm going out to enjoy my family and friends, not stare at screens. Bring back menus - it's not 2010 and ipads aren't novel and this usage was detrimental to the experience. Give us a reason to put phones away, don't make us use it more.
On the service front, except a non-verbal exchange with a bus boy, nobody attended to our group for about 15 minutes. We had to ask for brunch menus at the front door and then were given desert menus. When we asked for brunch menus again the hostess told us we asked for desert menus (um, ok but no).
Finally, when we all realized it's 10:55 on Sunday morning and nobody wants pizza and pasta for brunch, we decided to leave. As a courtesy, I gave the hostess a heads up that we're leaving (because I didn't have a server to tell). Apparently a manager overhead and came out to hear why, and gave me a trite line about how they appreciate my feedback. I felt completely dismissed.
This was the first mother's day brunch with my Mom in 10 years (she lives elsewhere, I'm not a terrible child). Oenotri was a disappointment in every way imaginable.
Good news, the Mediterranean restaurant across the street has lovely french toast and a lovely staff.
Amazing service and excellent food.
The pasta was amazing. Service was a bit lagging but perhaps that was because they were so busy.
Very slow service from the kitchen. Took 45 minutes to get first
The overall experience was good. We enjoyed the food but the our waiter was not very attentive or helpful with selections. We would maybe eat there again.
The food was great and service was fast. They make their own salami.
Fair at best. Way over crowded with parties of 8 (currently illegal). Servers in jeans and white t shirts with bandannas for face covers. I had some expectations based on reviews but any Italian restaurant in town is better than this.
Food and service was fantastic
Delicious and never a dissapointment.
Damian is the best!
Great food and service in downtown Napa. The outdoor seating was well covered (and shaded so you don't get too warm in the hot sun). Recommended!
Bad front desk service and super rude. Dont recommended this place
Amazing food, including homemade gluten free pasta that was orders of magnitude better than I’d had before
Organized call back regarding my message to increase reservation party to 6; thank you. Waiter not super helpful with menu but yummy crispy, thin pizza, pork scallopini, and cresta pasta with asparagus in light creme sauce was yum. Outside not super amongst buildings but had a string of lights. Thanks for increasing reservation.
Great food-Salad was excellent. Gigli was amazing. Somm was excellent as well
Great ending to our Napa visit! Loved the outdoor setting! The service was attentive and perfect. We both got pasta dinners that were delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice Italian meal after a day of wine tasting!
Attentive service, knowledgeable and helpful Som, pleasant evening patio seating.
Great food that came out on time and correctly. Wonderful wine list and a great server. :)
Let’s start with the outdoor dining, it’s average at best for the type of restaurant. The wine list was nice but a bit overpriced. I would have expected some brunch drink deals but none were offered. Then the service, our waiter didn’t know the menu or the specials well enough to sell them. He was not trained to know the menu or anything for that matter. Now the food, the focaccia was great, the carpaccio was good, the special bacon frittata was waaaaayyyyy over cooked and super dry, just terrible! Not very appealing. The pizza was good but $24 for a cheese pizza plus $6 extra for meat, is outrageous. $3 for arugula and they don’t have fresh basil, for their pizza margherita lmao! An Italian restaurant that doesn’t have their own basil year round in Napa California is ridiculous! The almond torte was good but $12 for a small scoop of gelato and a slice of cake, is very pricey. This restaurant used to be one of our favorites, but now I say skip it.
Had a lunch here on April 25th. Sumptuous experience. Had the special - smoked salmon on pizza. My wife had the Chef 6 and a super glass of wine which was recommended by our server, Damian. BTW...ask for Damian - he is outstanding. He has a good sense of humor, very service oriented, and knowledgeable. One of the highlights was the strawberry granita - like fresh strawberry shaved ice one a bed of meringue with candied pistachios. Yum 10x’s!!!
The server didnt offer drink menu or desert menu. Also the menu should have adequate description. The words are filled with italian jargan. The food was okay nothing that was out of the ordinary.
Best pizza ever!
Oenotri's food is excellent. When I am in Napa I always have at least one dinner there because I know I will have an outstanding meal. I particularly like their pasta and will even order a to go meal to take home. On Saturday I had their halibut which was perfectly fine on a bed of farro. Their salades are large enough to share so you have room for their delicious deserts. We had an almond torte that was perfectly done.
Food was excellent. The service was sub par at best. Waited 30 minutes to just get our drink order in. An hour after sitting we finally got our food. I had to ask for bread, even though all the other tables had it. It really ruined the dining experience. The sad part about it is we have finally gotten vaccinated and this was one of our first nights out in over a year.
Food & service were awesome!!!! Definitely a do again.
Wonderful time, food was great, amazing wine list!
The highlight of our dinner was the chocolate panna cotta. The kale pesto pasta was good but I would not rate it among the top pasta dishes I've ever had. The meatballs were delicious. We also ordered the broccolini and the arancini and both were ok but pretty bland.
Not what we expected. Despite our reservation, first they declined outside seating, then kept us waiting for more 30 minutes and finally gathered two tables in the alley. Food was fair but nothing remarkable. Great servers though.
As a side note, restrooms were needed attention as well.
The food has always been phenomenal. Pastas are delicious. I like to add the Calabrian chili and pancetta to their pizza. Good selection of wine by the glass. We sat outside and they have done a good job setting up with pandemic precautions. Service is good, not extraordinary. It was my friend’s birthday but they didn’t do anything special or allow us to have a little candle.
The host was not welcoming at all. She kept on giving us a a stare every time she passed by our table. The waiter was very dry, food menu for brunch said dinner when you use the QR code. There was not one item even close to breakfast or lunch items. We didn’t feel welcomed at all and was very disappointed with the menu.
The service was awful. We had to wait for a waitress to come for almost 30 minutes. The waitress was this middle age white woman who kept walking by us (we are a mixed racial couple) and wouldn’t even look at us. Then after almost 30 minutes she came. I have been here many time and this was my worst experience EVER. Hired people that serve everyone equally. The waitress was very nice to the tables with whit folks only. Be better!
Surprisingly and disappointingly bad, especially for the price. Their pastry chef/baker seems decent, as the focaccia and pizza dough were the best parts of our meal. But the pasta was chewy, and the accompanying sauce (was supposed to be a rabbit ragu) was severely lacking in flavor and just generally under seasoned. And the saltimbocca, one of their specials, was again incredibly under seasoned - did they run out of salt that night? Service was ok; our waiter was on his third night, so I’ll cut him some slack, but could use a bit more polish. Overall, skip it. Much better options in Napa.
This was our first visit Oenotri and we really enjoyed it. We had a couple of beers, two salads which were yummy, shared a margarita pizza that was delicious the thin crispy crust was so yummy and gelato.
Absolutely outstanding food with an extensive and wonderful wine list!
Service was ssssslowwwwwww. Food was cool (ish). Loved the pancetta wrapped rabbit!
Great service. Outdoor dining located in between buildings, with heaters. If you have kids, the 4-cheese pizza is delicious.
