Awesome menu.. great experience...will go back!
Food was very good and creative. Service on point as well.
Oenotri is like a white truffle...you can never get enough.
My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. We were delighted with our service--both our waitress and the wine sommelier were outstanding! Our waitress was attentive while allowing us privacy, she was lovely and gave us some great advice about the famous salumi menu at Oenotri. Our wine sommelier, Madison, was so informative and also helped us choose the right wine for us and our dinner. We wanted to try an Italian wine, but we are not as familiar with them--Madison helped refine our choices. We had a fabulous bottle and good/fair price. The food was also very good--we had a salumi plate to start, shared a pasta and shared a main dish (halibut). We had way more food than we needed, but it was fun to try different things. The pasta dish was much more generous than we had expected. They surprised us at the end with our choice of dessert and a nice Italian sparkling red dessert wine. We picked the "donuts". OUT of this WORLD good and the wine was a nice way to finish the evening. Can't say enough how nice the dinner was. Thank you, Oenotri, for a memorable evening.
Great experience, and very knowledgeable staff. We got a table outside since it was nice and much quieter. Inside is louder.
We were going to a concert at the uptown theatre so eating close by was important. The menu Open Table provided for Oenotri when making the reservation was a main factor in deciding where to eat-as not everyone wanted to spend big bucks. The open table site said $ so I went ahead and made the reservation using my credit card to hold:confirm our reservation (required). When I looked at the restaurant website the day of the reservation, the prices were quite different!!! $$ was the guide for cost on their website, and things that were $17/18 in the open table menu were $23/24 on the restaurant menu.
The margherita pizza was very plain (with what looked like dried basil on it) it was so small! Was not worth $18. The Giardino pizza was good, but overpriced at $23. The pastas, tuna and salami apps, Caesar salads were wonderful!
Service was on point! Would go back1
We were recommended by a winery owner and it was as good as described. The menu was creative and varied. The waiter was terrific and obviously enjoyed serving. A terrific pre Uptown Theatre venue.
Awesome food and atmosphere!
Food was enjoyable but noise level and pricing of wines definitely downgrade the experience.
The food was fabulous. I had the Halibut, and my husband had one of the pizzas. However, the service at the bar was extremely slow. It took the bartender about 15 minutes to come over to take our order. She was way too busy trying to get drinks out to the tables. Very unfortunate.
Food was good, and selection of locally made salami is great. The pasta was all house made and delicious
Visited on Easter for dinner with my family. My last trip to Oenotri last Fall led me to think that they were slipping but I guess it was an off night because this evening was fantastic. Our server was energetic and highly attentive, sommelier recommended a great, reasonably priced ($40), and food was perfect. Ricotta donuts for dessert were the perfect end to a great meal.
Had a wonderful early Easter supper on the patio. Simply perfect. Food came out a little slower than I had hoped but other than that no complaints.
We are never disappointed here. Living close by, we dine very frequently at Oenotri. Tyler and the kitchen staff are amazing in how they create ever changing imaginitave menus that feature the best produce in season. Pastas are always fabulous from the traditionals such as Cacio e Pepe to twists like Uni butter, Lemon and Salmon Roe.
The secondi are generous plates featuring seasonal fish and land beasts. Again done in traditional styles and with contemporary twists.
Thomas is a walking wine encyclopedia and is always ready to help diners locate that perfect wine from the extensive library of old and new-world labels.
Jessica is often behind the bar and we always look forward to seeing her bright and playful smile while she shakes cocktails from the extensive stock of spirits.
Lauren keeps the floor running smoothly with a service staff that is always friendly and attentive.
One of our favorites.
Came here hoping they had their special foi gras pizza. It's amazing. I was happy to find out they did.
All pasta options had hot pepper. Reason? That is how tonight's recipes are made. Totally overwhelmed the tomato taste which was good when it came through.
Arugula was too stringy. Maybe use mor mature leaves and remove more stems.
Polenta was very good.
Service seemed to start out good enough but once our designated server came by nothing was well timed. We asked about bread while we waited. The response was "oh, sure. We don't offer, you have to ask."
Will not return nor will we recommend it.
Very pretentious attitude.
Oenotri is always our place for a date night fresh and great food, service is spotty on and the ambiance is perfect. My wife and I come here often.love it!
We went for my birthday and I was disappointed. My Linguine was not what I expected and I did not eat it all. My wife's cappellacci was good but not great for the price. We should have ordered the pizza. The selection of wine by the glass was limited and I thought overpriced. The noise level was high but the service was good.
Always love Oenotri, but disappointed with our seat. My husband was a bumper car with his back to the kitchen and staff & guests bumping his chair in the tight location. The gentleman at the table next to us could have helpesd if he pulled his chair in closer, but no luck on him being self aware for that. Always love the food and attentive staff, just seat/table location was bad.
Horrible experience! This place was recommended by multiple people so my husband and I chose to go here to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was so terrible that we left after partially eating our appetizer! The three tables around us, all of which were sat after us, were helped before us. One of the tables had eaten their appetizer, ordered and received their meal all as we were just receiving our appetizer. The charcuterie board tasted like cardboard and the pate tasted like cat food. I was so excited to try their homemade pastas since everyone raved about it but unfortunately didn't get to. I have never gotten up and left a restaurant like this.
So glad we found this spot. Italian food was very very good. Wait staff super! Have a reservation if possible.
Way too noisy! Cannot hear across the table. Actually food and service good but so noisy that I would not return.
Very good food with fresh ingredient. The pizza and pasta are a must. Great place for lunch and dinner.
The food and cocktails and service here are excellent, however, the noise level is almost intolerable -- a major distraction. Also, the seats are way too low -- need a cushion, which they have available -- and the tables are too big -- which, combined with the noise level, makes conversation impossible.
Good Italian food and fresh ingredients. Beet-flavored cocktail, citrus beet salad, and radiatore (pasta) with pork ragu were excellent. The quality of entrees was not as good: sea bass with beet sauce was a bit oily and the rib eye had too much fat and came swimming in tomato sauce--perhaps an Italian way to serve, but did not quit work for us. Service was good and we were given a very nice seat by the corner window (we had reservations).
We had a reservation but decided to sit at the bar at the advice of a friend who lives in Napa.
Bar service was excellent, and the food was great. We ordered the charcuterie with the blue cheese . The
crackers they make in house were delicious and all the meats were as well. I loved the pickled cauliflower.
We then had a pizza with caramelized onions, sausage, san marzano tomatoes and mozzarella, topped with
fresh arugula. It hit the spot.
The bartender made a great vodka martini for me to top it all off! So glad we finally made it here.
The service was less than mediocre. The pizza was edible at best. They forgot to bring me my coffee and never brought us back our leftovers. The crostone appetizer was the only decent dish. It was a missed opportunity for a decent meal. The reviews I read led me to believe the food would be at least decent. The reviews were wrong. Our table was surrounded by toddlers on three sides. I regret not asking for a refund of my entire meal... except he crostini of course.
We haven’t been to Onetri in a while... Wow that was a mistake.. The pasta was just fantastic!
Food was so tasty and unique in a totally yummy way! Great service! Our water glass was never empty, the sommelier was super knowledgeable, and our waitress was superb!
Really good pasta and great experience. Great service and yummy food.
Phenomenal, highly recommended and deservedly so!
Food was amazing. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave us great advice. We took his advice and never regretted a single choice!
Always the finest fresh food! Our waiter was exceptional with great recommendations.
This is the third time I have had a reservation at this restaurant in 2018. I like the food but will take it off my list due to their lack of attention to my open table request for a quiet spot in the restaurant. They have told me three times in a row that due to a large party they only have a table next to the kitchen where they shout orders back and forth to each other. The always apologize but jam me where I don't want to be seated. I said just call me and say you can't accommodate my request so I can make another reservation.
Their attitude is we are successful who needs you. The place has good food but very loud in the quietest part of the restaurant. If you don't like noise and an attitude of take it or leave it then do not go to this restaurant. You have been warned.
This regularly outstanding restaurant was completely full and therefore noisy. I would recommend a reservation in the middle of the week.
Home grown vegetables and the grilled asparagus is to die for.
Cute spot with tasty Italian food in downtown Napa. We got a great pizza and some pastas to share. Good after a long day of wine touring.
Great food and wonderful service.
The service was amazing! The ambience was great. Overall the food was good but the fadi pasta the spaghetti tasted like abc kids pasta.
