We have been to Oenotri a few times, and it is always delicious.
Perhaps my palette is t as refined as others but the food was just OK. This is a Michelin star restaurant so maybe my expectations were too high. My husband likened our pasta to hamburger helper and the sauce was a little too salty. The pizza was good, the crust in particular, but I’ve had better authentic Italian pizza elsewhere. Service was great though.
Cold and wet outside... warm (thank you pizza oven) and welcoming inside! Great service matches the incredible salumi and cheese plate. Add a glass of wine and you have a go to choice.
Best Italian restaurant in downtown Napa (sorry Allegria!). Freshly made pasta and farm ingredients. Great energetic vibe.
Outstanding as always.
The staff really go out of their way to give you the best experience. The host was so nice and when I requested a special table, she made it happen.
From the somm picking a superb wine to the homemade pasta that tastes like Tuscany, you can’t find a better Italian dinner experience anywhere in the bay area.
This place is one of the best southern Italian food I have tasted. Perfect amount of items listed on the menu; not complicated and simple yet enough variety to choose from. Food came flying out and was timed perfectly by our server. Saffron linguine with white wine and cod as well as the pork ragu pasta was cooked perfectly. The portion was just right to squeeze in a pizza, beautiful chaucerterie board, and dessert. I will be back when in Napa.
pizza overpriced, didnt have the dish I wanted that was listed but dishes we had were good, service was average, a little pricey but good for a special occasion
We had dinner here on a Sunday night after wine tasting, definitely advise making reservations. Place was a little loud, made it heard to hear the server sometimes. Our server was excellent, helpful, energetic, attentive. Salumi plate had some tasty choices, pasta dishes were good but salty. Dessert was good, cocktails were very good. Seemed a little overpriced for the entree amount.
The food and atmosphere were great. The Charcuterie board with house made meats was very good.
Amazing food in an area that has a lot of great restaurants. But this is one I would not miss. Just fabulous!
We have been dining at Oenotri since they opened. Always a good dining experience until our last dinner on December 27, 2018.
The mixed salad was overdressed, that’s a first. The mushroom pasta dish was nice then it fell apart with our entrees. The time between mid course and entrees was too long. We ordered the tuna entree and braised veal. Just terrible. Both cold and sloppy, the tuna with lentils should have been described as “lentils with a small side of over cooked tuna”. The braised veal can only be described as a fatty slab of cold veal with a giant portion of cold polenta. The prices for these entrees were well over 30.00 each. Such a disappointment. I suggest staying safe and avoid their entrees and order apps/pasta/pizza/cheese,etc.
Wait staff helpful and efficient, wine guy was great. Pretty noisy, I noticed because we had an octogenarian in our group but he loved the holiday hubbub!
Food was unbelievably good. Quality of ingredients was fantastic. Olive oil and focaccia to start which were both elevated versions. Margherita pizza with the best tomato sauce I’ve ever had. Papardelle and mushrooms to die over. Amazing dessert we managed to squeeze in. Really lovely service. Definitely going back next time we’re in town.
Food came out cold
Was expecting a bit more from the food based on the restaurant's reputation. Charcuterie was good, as were the arancini. Brussels sprout salad was not a hit, too much balsamic, and the pungent cheese didn't complement the other flavors. Really liked the crust and sauce on the pizza, would have liked a bit more cheese. Short rib pasta tasted fine, but the ragu was gelatinous and lacked any shreds of meat. Desserts were really disappointing, panna cotta was ok, but topped with what tasted like corn flakes. Chocolate olive oil cake was too dry to eat, took two bites and left the rest.
Service was excellent. Our server was super helpful on ordering and paced everything perfectly. Sommelier was also on point, great wine knowledge and always there to refill glasses.
Great staff, service, and food. Awesome pizza and pasta.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for excellent Italian food.
Annual NorCal girl’s trip!
Great service. Our waiter was friendly and did an amazing job describing the menu to us. Second time I’ve had him and he always gives such good descriptions I have to try some thing new because of his recommendation. Never disappointed in the food.
Good food and outstanding service. Really enjoyed the brunch pancake, and the coffee was outstanding.
Food was amazing. Very extensive wine list!
Loved the brussel sprouts, pizza with clams, and chocolate for dessert! Awesome atmosphere and great wine, as well!
Absolutely great food! Servers were rather unusual but fine. It was very very loud and the table was so big that we were unable to hear each other across the table. I’d return in a heartbeat.
Wow! We loved this restaurant. I had been there in the past, but it has been several years. They haven't missed a beat. The food was outstanding. The portions were generous but not indulgent. The food was fresh, and the flavors were amazing. We loved every bite. Service was excellent as well, such nice people. Enjoy!
Wow yes! Wow yes! Great charcuterie and pasta. It's a value for dinner in Napa.
Went for our honeymoon. Pasta was not as expected- tasted processed and not fresh. Pizza was good but dough not amazing. Wine selection less than par. Overall disappointed with the meal
We had very pleasant evening on the first full night of our honeymoon. The salumi and pasta we ordered was excellent.
The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly how to accommodate a gluten free diet. When the non-gluten-free diner was given a gluten free pasta by mistake the error was quickly and graciously corrected. This meal was brunch but we are already making plans to go back for dinner.
It was excellent
The flavored of the saloomi and cheese dish was wonderful. Their winter pasta dish with squash purée and pomegranate was do die for! Overall a nice experience with the exception of the noise level which was unfortunately loud.
As always food wonderful. Felt rushed by wait staff.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner tonight at Oenotri. We thought the pizza and pasta were great until the dessert came. The desserts we got were incredible! Our entrees were not greasy or heavy at all. Can’t wait to go back!
Predictably wonderful! We can always count on it as a place to impress out-of-town guests.
Poor service and mediocre food. Waitress seemed like she hated her job and wanted to be anywhere but there. Food is extremely overrated. Wine is mostly Italian and restaurant is in Napa. Strange concept!
This is a wonderful restaurant with great food and a fantastic staff. We loved it.
Good meal, but service and getting to our reservation on time were lacking.
Everything was dialed in from the service to the food. We had a great time and will definitely be back!
I thought that the service was terrific and the overall quality of the food was excellent. I loved the pasta and the beet salad. I look forward to returning soon.
Loved the paparadelle!! The pizzas were divine and cocktails were excellent!!
Food was excellent, but our experience was marred by indifferent and inattentive service. Our greeter seemed to be inconvenienced by our arrival even though we had a reservation. Our server was impatient during ordering and then never returned to check on us until dessert. As a party of six, we were charged an automatic gratuity, which might explain why no effort was made to assure a pleasant experience. This was a significant birthday celebration, which we mentioned, and ended up as a disappointment. The kitchen staff obviously cares a great deal, but no one else here does.
Best pizza. Delicious tomato sauce and a fabulous crust. Perfection.
